Mabus Comes: See December Mabus, December Comet

Mad As A Hatter:
The colloquial phrase mad as a hatter is derived from the condition Mad hatter disease, and is commonly associated with Lewis Carroll's character the Mad Hatter in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

Mad hatter disease describes the symptoms of mercury poisoning, specifically its effect on the nervous system. These include paraesthesias, vision and hearing impairment, slurred speech, anxiety, hallucinations, irritability, depression, lack of coordination, and tremors. The condition was observed among workers in the hat-making industry in the 1800s. Chronic mercury exposure was common in hatters who used a mercury solution during the process of curing animal pelts. Poor ventilation in the workshops of the time resulted in the hatters breathing in the fumes of this highly toxic metal, leading to an accumulation of mercury in the workers' bodies. Metal toxicity was poorly understood and the broad range of symptoms were also associated with insanity.

Madrid Bombing:
The Madrid train bombings were nearly simultaneous, coordinated bombings against the Cercanías (commuter train) system of city of Madrid, Spain on the morning of 11 March 2004. Ten explosions occurred aboard four commuter trains killing 191 people and wounding 1,800. This terrorist attack is considered the worst terrorist attack in the history of Spain and Europe.

Madrid Train:
Cercanías Madrid is the commuter train service that serves Madrid, the capital of Spain, and its metropolitan area. The system is known for being the target of the 11 March 2004 Madrid train bombings. See Madrid Bombing

Magical Alphabet:
Alphabets were initially developed by the Ancients to symbolize magical objects or ideas. Later, they were used for sacred writings and eventually for common writing. Bobileth alphabet, enochian alphabet, runic alphabet, greek alphabet, etcetera are associated with witchcraft, magic spells, and magickal or spiritual practices.

Magical Chants:
A written or recited spell that is spoken or sung as part of a ritual of magic designed to produce a particular effect.

Magick Phrase:
Magick phrases refer to words used in Aleister Crowley's ritual practices and spells.

Magic Reindeer:
The mythical figure Santa Claus has a team of magic flying reindeer that help him pull his sleigh so that he can delivers gifts to boys and girls by Christmas day. The reindeer are named Dasher (one who makes an ostentatious parade), Dancer (a performer that gyrates), Prancer (proud and pompous), Vixen (malicious with a fiery temper), Comet (celestial or heavenly body), Cupid (god of love), Doner and Blitzen (Dutch for thunder and lightning) and Rudolph (fame wolf). See Santa Claus

Magic Santa Elf:
Santa Claus delivers presents, including toys, candy, and other gifts to all of the good boys and girls in the world, and sometimes coal to the naughty children, on the single night of Christmas Eve. He accomplishes this feat with the aid of the elves who make the toys in the workshop.

Webster's dictionary defines elf as a small often mischievous fairy or malicious person. "Although some of these creatures may appear cute on the surface, all of them are nonetheless demonic entities that have their origin in the occult world." -(Cathy Burns, Masonic and Occult
Symbols Illustrated, p. 77).

"In the Germanic tradition, elves are generally evil. Creatures such as trolls, gnomes, and elves are sanitized references to demons. It was accepted by most Medieval theologians that faeries and elves were tied to the devil."  -(Elf and Faerie : The development of Elves by Peter van Heusden).  See Santa Claus

Magnetic Coil:
"Transcranial magnetic stimulation", is a technique that uses magnetic coils to affect one's brain, and then to control the body. Such possibilities were said to only exist in the realms of science fiction and movies. The terrifying prospect of controlling another's mind using invisible forces is stepping out of the movies and into the lab, as scientists "hack" into the human brain using targeted magnetic fields.

Mahabodhi Snake:
The Mahabodhi Temple which literally means "Great Awakening Temple", is a Buddhist temple in Bodh Gaya, marking the location where Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha, is said to have attained enlightenment.

Mucalinda, Muchalinda or Mucilinda is the name of a snake-like being, who protected the Gautama Buddha from the elements after his enlightenment.

It is said that four weeks after Gautama Buddha began meditating under the Bodhi Tree, the heavens darkened for seven days, and a prodigious rain descended. However, the mighty King of Serpents, Mucalinda, came from beneath the earth and protected with his hood the one who is the source of all protection. When the great storm had cleared, the serpent king assumed his human form, bowed before the Buddha, and returned in joy to his palace.

Mahmoud/Barack:
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and US President Barack Obama are in conflict regarding nuclear weapons. See Obama Iran Drama

Main Ruler: See Head of World

Maitreyas:
Maitreya (Sanskrit) is a future Buddha of this world in Buddhist eschatology. In some Buddhist literature, such as the Amitabha Sutra and the Lotus Sutra, he is referred to as Ajita Bodhisattva.

Maitreya is a bodhisattva who in the Buddhist tradition is to appear on Earth, achieve complete enlightenment, and teach dharma. According to scriptures, Maitreya will be a successor of the historic Buddha, the founder of Buddhism. The prophecy of the arrival of Maitreya is found in the canonical literature of all Buddhist sects and is accepted by most Buddhists as a statement about an actual event that will take place in the distant future.

Make Desolate:
To "make desolate" means to rid of inhabitants; to leave alone; lay waste; devastate; to forsake; abandon; to make forlorn, wretched, etc.

In the Bible the word "desolate" means in it's primary sense "left lonely," "forlorn," e. g. Psalms 25:16, "Have mercy upon me; for I am desolate" (Hebrew yachidh, "alone"); 1 Timothy 5:5, "she that is a widow indeed, and desolate" (Greek memonomene, "left alone").

In the sense of "laid waste," "destitute of inhabitants," refer to Jeremiah 4:7, "to make thy land desolate, that thy cities be laid waste, without inhabitant."

To make desolate also means "comfortless," "afflicted," e. g. Psalms 143:4, "My heart within me is desolate."

It can also be used to describe someone who is "barren," "childless," "unfruitful," e. g. Job 15:34; Isaiah 49:21 (Hebrew galmudh).

Makemake Demon:
Makemake in the Rapa Nui mythology of Easter Island, is the creator of humanity, the god of fertility and the chief god of the "Tangata manu" or bird-man cult (this cult succeeded the island's more famous Moai era). Make-Make was also god of an infamous cult called the tea cult (dawn cult). The tea cult went out only at dawn to pray.

Man Created A god:
According to the Bible, when Moses went up onto Mount Sinai to receive the Ten Commandments (Exodus 19:20), he left the Israelites for forty days and forty nights (Exodus 24:18). The Israelites feared that he would not return and asked Aaron to make gods for them (Exodus 32:1). Aaron complied and gathered up the Israelites' golden earrings. He melted them and constructed the golden calf. Aaron also built an altar before the calf. And the next day, the Israelites made offerings and celebrated.

God severely condemns this practice in scripture, since He is Creator of all things and due all of mankind’s gratefulness for our existence and the world He has given us to live.

"Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments" (Ex. 20:3-6)

"The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands. They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not; They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths. They that make them are like unto them: so is every one that trusteth in them" (Ps. 135:15-18).

Mandatory:
Required or commanded by authority

Life is all about chioces. God has given man the power to make choices regarding his life and future. God has set before us the choice to obey or disobey. Once something has been mandated then your right to choose is taken away. See A Life Decision

Mandragoras:
Mandragoras are also commonly known as mandrake. It has many other names: Satan's Apple, Baaras, Gallows, Witches' Mannikin, Ladykins, Womandrake, Sorcerer's Root, Alraun, Man-dragon, Warlock Root and probably many more. Mandrake is the common name for members of the plant genus Mandragora, particularly the species Mandragora officinarum, belonging to the nightshades family (Solanaceae). Because mandrake contains deliriant hallucinogenic tropane alkaloids such as atropine, scopolamine, apoatropine, hyoscyamine and the roots sometimes contain bifurcations causing them to resemble human figures, their roots have long been used in magic rituals, today also in neopagan religions such as Wicca and Germanic revivalism religions such as Odinism.

Mandrake is one of the most written about plants in history with whole books devoted to its properties and its ability to scream when pulled from the ground. According to the legend, when the root is dug up it screams and kills all who hear it. In myth, mandragoras are familiar demons who appear in the figures of little men without beards. Mandragoras are thought to be little dolls or figures given to sorcerers by the Devil for the purpose of being consulted by them in time of need.

There is speculation that Jesus may have been given a concoction containing mandrake while on the cross in order to feign death. Why would Jesus drink a potion whose main ingredient is associated with demons?

Manhattan Beach:
Manhattan Beach is a city located in southwestern Los Angeles County, California, USA. Manhattan Beach is a very affluent beach town within commuting distance of Los Angeles and therefore it is one of the most expensive coastal towns in which to live in America, according to the most recent Fortune Magazine rankings. The median price of a single family dwelling greatly exceeds the already high Los Angeles County median price by over 100%. Property in Manhattan Beach is exceptionally expensive when considering the size of land for sale. In comparison, a half acre of land in Bel-Air is valued at $20 million, while a half acre of land on the Strand in Manhattan Beach is valued at $35 million. Homes with an ocean view often exceed $5 million in cost.

In 1983, Manhattan Beach became the center of national news. Seven teachers were accused of abusing hundreds of preschool children over a 10-year period. Members of the McMartin family, who operated a preschool in California, were charged with numerous acts of satanic ritual abuse of children in their care. Arrests and the pretrial investigation ran from 1984 to 1987, and the trial ran from 1987 to 1990. After six years of criminal trials, no convictions were obtained, and all charges were dropped in 1990. When the trial ended in 1990 it had been the longest and most expensive criminal trial in American history.

It was alleged that, in addition to having been sexually abused, they saw witches fly, traveled in a hot-air balloon, and were taken through underground tunnels. Some of the abuse was alleged to have occurred in secret tunnels beneath the school. Several investigations turned up evidence of old buildings on the site and other debris from before the school was built, but no evidence of any secret chambers was found. There were claims of orgies at car washes and airports, and of children being flushed down toilets to secret rooms where they would be abused, then cleaned up and presented back to their unsuspecting parents. Some children said they were made to play a game called "Naked Movie Star" in which they were photographed nude. During the trial, testimony from the children stated that the naked movie star game was actually a rhyming taunt used to tease other children -- "What you say is what you are, you're a naked movie star," -- and had nothing to do with having naked pictures taken.

Man is Satan:
Satan is not a man. However Satan is believed to have many powers, among them the power to manifest himself in human or animal form. The consorting has been recorded as often being purely physical and mostly sexual. For most of the history of Christianity there are reports of Satan having sex with humans, either as an incubus (male devil) or succubus (female devil).

Man-like Frogs:
"And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty" (Rev.16:13-14).

The book of Revelation teaches of three evil spirits, who are demons, who look like frogs. It says these 3 frog-like demons will gather the kings of the world together for the battle of Armageddon, against Jesus Christ before His return. See Gray Aliens and Mars Aliens

Man of Riches:
"And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God" (Matt.19:24).

The saying was a response to a young rich man who had asked Jesus what he needed to do in order to inherit eternal life. Jesus replied that he should keep the commandments, to which the man stated he had done. Jesus responded, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." The young man became sad and was unwilling to do this.

Man or Animal?:
To the scientist, man is an animal, graciously self-designated as homo sapiens. Some researchers studying animal behavior extrapolate from the realm of science into that of philosophy and morality. These scholars reason from the premise that if animals do it, it is according to their nature and thus is good for them. If it is natural and good for animals, they continue, it is also natural and morally good for man.

For some people, what animals do is a yardstick of what is and isn't natural. They make a leap from saying if it's natural, it's morally and ethically desirable. Infanticide is widespread in the animal kingdom. To jump from that to say it is desirable makes no sense. We shouldn't be using animals to craft moral and social policies for the kinds of human societies we want to live in. If we are all going to be reduced to a bunch of wild animals that have no control over their whims or appetites then why should anything be wrong? Isn't killing just as natural of an instinct? Animals in the wild kill for more than food. They kill for territory and leadership. In fact, when chimpanzees attack neighboring chimpanzees for territory, not only do they kill the opposing chimps, but they take it a step further and eat the other chimps to spread a message of fear. This is cannibalistic. Would this be natural for people to do? What separates people from wild animals? Moral values are what separate us from the animals. People will make excuses for anything to keep from taking responsibility of their actions.

The fact that man has a body and sensitive life in common with animals does not mean he is strictly an animal. Nor does it mean that he is a half-animal. Man's rationality pervades the wholeness of his nature so that his sensations, instincts and impulses are not purely animal but have that seal of rationality which characterizes them as human.

Thus, man is characterized not by what he has in common with animals, but by what differentiates him from them. Few would deny that man has features without parallel in any other member of that kingdom. We are quite familiar with the physical evidence that marks out homo sapiens - the erect posture, the grasping thumb, the cerebral hemispheres, etc. This differentiation is fundamental, not accidental.

Man is different from all other animals in a number of ways:

Man is a rational animal. Man's rationality is what makes human nature unique and fundamentally distinct from animal nature. To consider man strictly as an animal is to deny his rationality and, therefore, his free will. Likewise, to consider animals as if they were human is to attribute to them a non-existent rationality.

Man is an ethical being. He can distinguish between right and wrong. He can and does make moral judgments. He has a conscience. Only to man could God speak of "good" and "evil." Because of mans sense of justice and his ethical orientation, God could fairly punish him for his willful disobedience in the Garden of Eden.

Man is an aesthetic being, capable of perceiving and appreciating beauty and intangible values. When animals build things, the process and resulting object serve a functional purpose. Animals do not create objects for the purpose of appreciation. Anthropology tells us that sophisticated works of art first appeared in the fossil record about 40,000-50,000 years ago, at the time that modern humans first appeared. No other species of animal, including the apes, are able to create and understand images of art and drawings.

Man is an economic being, able to transact complicated business and to administer goods and services under his control. God instructed Adam and Eve to take control of the earth and "subdue" it (Genesis 1:28). Animals do not transact business between each other.

Man can also experience faith. Man alone of all earthly creation can worship his Creator. He alone can put his trust in the guidance and leadership of God. The Bible makes a clear distinction between man and animals: "All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fish, another of birds" (1 Cor. 15:39).

March Easter:
Easter (Ēostre (Old English)) is the central religious feast in the Christian liturgical year. Ēostre derives from Proto-Germanic, *Austron, a goddess of fertility and sunrise whose feast was celebrated at the spring equinox, from *austra-, from PIE *aus- "to shine" (especially of the dawn). Ēostre is attested only by Bede, in his 8th century work De temporum ratione, where he states that Ēostur-monath was the equivalent to the month of April, and that feasts held in her honor during Ēostur-monath had died out by the time of his writing, replaced by the "Paschal month." Bede also referred to as Saint Bede or the Venerable Bede, was a monk at the Northumbrian monastery of Saint Peter at Monkwearmouth, today part of Sunderland, England, and of its companion monastery, Saint Paul's, in modern Jarrow, both in the Kingdom of Northumbria. He is well known as an author and scholar, and his most famous work, Historia ecclesiastica gentis Anglorum (The Ecclesiastical History of the English People) gained him the title "The Father of English History". In 1899, Bede was made a Doctor of the Church by Leo XIII, a position of theological significance.

Alternative names and spellings for this goddess are Ēostre, Ôstarâ, Austron, Astarte, Ashtoreth, Eastre, Ishtar and others, depending on the area, language, and dialect. The goddess of the dawn or spring symbolizes renewal and fertility.

The word Easter appears once in the King James version of the Bible. Herod had put Peter in prison, "And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.) And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people" (Acts 12:3-4).

The word, "Easter" has been incorrectly translated "Passover" in almost all Bible versions except for the King James version (KJV). According to the Bible: "In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD's passover. And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread" (Lev.23:5-6).

Peter was arrested during the days of unleavened bread (April 15-21). The Bible says: "Then were the days of unleavened bread." The LORD's passover (April 14th) had already come and gone. Herod could not possibly have been referring to the passover in his statement concerning Easter. The next Passover was a year away! Easter in this passage is referring to the pagan festival. Herod was a pagan Roman who worshiped the "queen of heaven". He was NOT a Jew. He had no reason to keep the Jewish passover.

According to Encyclopedia Britannica, Ishtar is the Akkadian counterpart of the West Semitic goddess Astarte. Astarte/Ashtoreth is the Queen of Heaven to whom the Canaanites had burned incense and poured libations. The Bible makes reference to the queen of heaven in Jeremiah 7:18, 44:17, 25.

Easter is a day that is honored by nearly all of contemporary Christianity and is used to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. When the disciples of Jesus first encountered their risen Lord, they "came to him, clasped his feet and worshipped him" (Matt. 28:9). Since that time, Christians have set aside time each year to commemorate the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. According to Christian scripture, Jesus was resurrected from the dead on the third day after his crucifixion. Some Christians celebrate this resurrection on Easter Day or Easter Sunday (also Resurrection Day or Resurrection Sunday), two days after Good Friday and three days after Maundy Thursday. The date of Easter varies between March 22 and April 25. Eastern Christianity bases its calculations on the Julian Calendar whose March 21 corresponds, during the twenty-first century, to April 3 in the Gregorian Calendar, in which calendar their celebration of Easter therefore varies between April 4 and May 8. The Christian holiday often involves a church service at sunrise, a feast which includes an "Easter Ham", decorated eggs and stories about rabbits.

In the Canaanite religion, the families would face east to await the rising of the sun, which was the chief symbol of the sun god Baal on the first Sunday of the equinox. Later on during the day, the children of the Canaanite parents would often go and hunt for eggs, which were symbolic of sex, fertility and new life. It was believed that these eggs came from rabbits, which in the pagan world were symbolic of lust, sexual prowess and reproduction. Egg symbolism is even older than that. The earliest representations date to at least 7,000 year ago in the Neolithic civilizations of Eastern Europe- eggs, female deities, even the color red and designs on modern Easter eggs are found there.

If Jesus ate meat at the Last Supper, it would have been lamb. Jewish Passover traditions call for lamb, and so do most European traditions. The Bible forbids the eating of pork (Deut.14:3-8). But, in north Europe pigs, were always important. Hams, from pigs slaughtered in the winter, then salted and smoked were ready to eat in the spring-before fresh meats were available. This is especially true in North America where lamb was never an important meat.

The Encyclopedia Britannica informs us that the festival of Easter was not observed in the early Christian church: “There is no indication of the observance of the Easter festival in the New Testament, or in the writings of the apostolic fathers. The sanctity of special times was an idea absent from the minds of the first Christians.” There is not a single verse in the Bible instructing us to celebrate Christ's resurrection, death or birth. The only day God instructed man to keep holy is the sabbath. The Bible states: "Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy" (Ex. 20:8). If God had wanted us to keep these days holy he would have instructed man to do so. The Bible warns against following certain customs: "Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen... For the customs of the people are vain" (Jer. 10:2-3). "Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them... and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God" (Deut. 12:30-31). "That ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the LORD your God" (Lev. 18:30).

Easter is a counterfeit holiday to the true Christian festival of the Passover which was instituted in the Bible and completed in the New Testament when Christ died on the cross as our Passover Lamb. Paul describes the unleavened bread as fulfilled in Christ. "Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us" (1Cor.5:7). Passover is connected to the bread. The bread represents Christs body. “For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him" (John 6:55-56). We have spiritual redemption through Christ's body being broken and his blood shed. The Lord’s supper was the last passover.

God sent Christ to deliver us from our sins (Rom. 5:8). Before His death, He commanded His disciples to partake of the supper in His remembrance (Matt. 26:26-28; Mark 14:22-25; Luke 22:14-19). "And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, 'Take, eat; this is My body.' And He took the cup, and gave thanks and gave it to them, saying, 'Drink ye all of it; for this is My blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins" (Matt. 26:26-28). Note: All the four gospels give the same account, and in Luke 22:19, Jesus said, "This do in remembrance of me." Also, the apostle Paul wrote to the church at Corinth concerning the Lord's Supper, when he heard they were partaking of it improperly (1 Cor. 11:20-34). In verse 23 it reads: "For I have received from the Lord, that which I also delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus Christ the same night in which He was betrayed, took bread, and when He had given thanks, He brake it and said, 'Take, eat; this is My body which was broken for you. This do in remembrance of Me."

In the New Testament, the Bible makes it clear that the early Christians met on the first day of the week for communion: "These going before tarried for us at Troas. And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven days. And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight" (Acts 20:5-7). The first day of the week is Sunday.

Mark of Beast:
In the Christian Bible, the Book of Revelation contains prophecy concerning an end-time dictator who is to rule the world. Symbolically, he is called "the Beast", also known elsewhere in Scripture as: "the Man of Sin"; "the Man of Lawlessness"; "the Son of Perdition'; "the Little Horn"; and "the Antichrist." When this person appears on the scene he will order everyone on earth to receive his "mark" - an identifying sign in their right hands or foreheads:

Revelation 13:16-18
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a MARK in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the MARK, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Revelation 14:9
And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his MARK in his forehead, or in his hand.

Revelation 14:11
And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the MARK of his name.

Revelation 15:2
And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his MARK, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

Revelation 16:2
And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the MARK of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.

Revelation 19:20
And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the MARK of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Revelation 20:4
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his MARK upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Marriage Team:
There is no "i" in team, but there is an "i" in marriage.

It is often said that to have a successful marriage, married couples need to be able to work together as a team. Team can be defined as individual players coming together to form one side in a game, contest or sport. Some believe that a healthy marriage needs a good dose of competition. Perhaps you are naturally competitive. You’ve always enjoyed sports or competing scholastically. As far as you’re concerned, competing and winning is fun.

Although you and your spouse may be playing on the same team, you may unwittingly compete against your spouse. You may feel the need to "one up" your spouse. Maybe you and your spouse are playing together and moving towards the same goal. What happens when you miss the goal and fail to score? No matter how great the team is, no one wins all the time. How do you handle loss? Do you change the rules? Do you substitute players? Furthermore, what happens when a member of the team decides they no longer want to play by the rules of the game? What happens when your spouse concludes that they are on a losing team and they want to become a free agent and quit the team?

Also in a team you have individuals playing for the same side against other teams in a contest. If you are a married team, then who are you competing against? Are you competing against other married couples? Do you compare your marriage to theirs? Do you wish your spouse was as romantic as someone elses? It is dangerous to compare your marriage to other marriages. It can lead to a heart that is discontent and arouse feelings of envy and jealousy. Keep in mind just because someone's marriage appears to be better than your own, doesn't mean it is. Some marriages look perfect from the outside. They seem to never fight, they hold hands and display affection like a couple of teenagers, they appear to agree all the time and it seems like their honeymoon has lasted forever. It’s not to say that they aren't truly happy, but it’s a mistake to assume that what you see goes on 24-7 and that they never have moments where they don't agree or don't get along. Some couples are good at masking their problems. They don't want their friends and family to know they are having troubles. So they pretend that everything is great for appearances sake when in actuality the marriage is falling apart. No marriage is perfect. Don't assume that what works for them in their marriage will work for you in yours. Because what you think is working for them may not be working at all. When you compare your marriage to others you run the risk of forgetting all the special qualities you and your partner have, what initially drew you together and the other nuances of your life that are likely totally different.

Marriage is not a game or a competition. You are not team mates playing for the same team. In marriage two people become one. The Bible states: "Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder" (Matt.19:6). Each person must be totally committed to the Marriage Covenant and fulfill their roles 100%. Marriage will never succeed where there is a weak commitment or where an independent spirit exists (See A Independent). A husband must love his wife as Christ loves the Church, lead her, provide for her completely and manage his household properly. A wife must honor and obey her husband and serve as his helper.

In marriage you are no longer two separate individuals. You are one body, one mind and one soul. The man is the head of that body. Decisions that are made by husband are also made for the wife. According to the Bible, "So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church” (Eph.5:28-29). This is God's pattern for success.

Your spouse becomes part of you. You are one and the same. Therefore you cannot divorce or separate from yourself. To do so, would be like cutting off your own arm or a leg. You are to treat your spouse with the same love and respect that you have for yourself. You would not abuse yourself! You would not hit yourself! You would not neglect to provide yourself with food, clothing, shelter, etc. Emotionally, spiritually, intellectually, financially, and in every other way, the couple is to become one. Even as one part of the body cares for the other body parts (the stomach digests food for the body, the brain directs the body for the good of the whole, the hands work for the sake of the body, etc.), so each partner in the marriage is to care for the other. Even in the sexual aspect of their relationship, a husband and wife are not to consider their bodies as their own but as belonging to their partner (1 Corinthians 7:3-5). Nor are they to focus on their own pleasure but rather the giving of pleasure to their spouse.

How can you be team mates in a marriage if two people are supposed to come together to as one person? Therefore you must learn to work together as one person as opposed to two solo players who compete together or against each other in the Game of Life. Remember marriage is not a contest – it doesn't keep a score (1 Cor.13:5). It is not a game that you play. There is no win or lose and no one gets hurt. See Coequally

Mars Aliens:
"And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up , that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty" (Rev.16:12-14).

Mars aliens or Martians are demons under the control of Mars, the roman god of war. In early Roman history he was a god of agriculture. Mars has been called a chthonic god. Chthonic or khthonic (from Greek χθόνιος – chthonios, "in, under, or beneath the earth", from χθών – chthōn, "earth") designates, or pertains to, deities or spirits of the Underworld (known as Hell). It typically refers to the interior of the soil, rather than the living surface of the land (as Gaia does) or the land as territory (as khora (χώρα) does).

According to Professor Carl Jung the chthonic gods are connected to the blood and to the soil. The serpent is a powerful chthonic animal that is always low to the ground, connected to the earth. Jung writes, "The serpent is the age-old representative of the lower worlds, of the belly with its contents and the intestines."

Mars aliens are not from the planet Mars. Mars was named after the roman god. These aliens belong to the serpent race. Martians are believed to have gray to greenish gray colored skin. Their skin and faces look like lizards and frogs with large protruding eyes (See Lizard Alien). Martians are said to be five to twelve feet tall and they are the ‘giants’ described so widely in the ancient legends and records. Some accounts claim they have tails, others do not. Author Zecharia Sitchin also speculates that the Anunnaki went to Mars before coming to Earth.

The modern accounts of these serpent aliens match the descriptions of many ‘gods’ of the ancient world in the surviving texts and legends. The Central American cultures had their winged serpent god, Quetzalcoatl; the Hopi Indians had the plumed serpent god, Baholinkonga, and the Native American culture is awash with serpent imagery, including the mysterious serpent-shaped mound in Ohio; the East Indians speak of the serpent gods, the Nagas (these were a race of ‘demons’ in Indian legend and their name means “Those who do not walk, but creep”); the Egyptians had their serpent god, Kneph, and pharaohs were often pictured with serpents; the Phoenicians had Agathodemon, another serpent figure; the voodoo people have a god they call Damballah Wedo, who is depicted as a serpent; and the Hebrews had Nakhustan, the Brazen Serpent. See Lizard Alien and Man-like Frogs

Mars God Yah:
Yahwe, prior to becoming Yahweh, the national god of Israel, and taking on monotheistic attributes in the 6th century BCE, was a part of the Canaanite pantheon in the period before the Babylonian captivity. Archeological evidence reveals that during this time period the Israelites were a group of Canaanite people. Yahweh was seen as a war god. The Romans called this god of war Mars. See Mars Aliens

Mars Homes:
In 2013, NASA released a three-step plan to bring people to Mars sometime in 2030. In a report outlining the plan, the space agency did not hesitate to classify this as a colonial mission. “Like the Apollo Program, we embark on this journey for all humanity,” NASA noted, adding, “Unlike Apollo,we will be going to stay… We are developing the capabilities necessary to get there, land there, and live there.”

Mars Magnet:
If you could pick up a rock from the surface of Mars, then the chances are it would be magnetic. And yet, Mars doesn't have a magnetic field coming from its core. These rocks are clinging to the signal of an ancient magnetic field, dating back billions of years, to the times when Mars had a magnetic field like Earth's.

Some terrestrial bacteria make magnetite so they can orient themselves with the Earth's magnetic field and move along it in search of the most favorable conditions.

Mars doesn't have a global magnetic field now, but evidence suggests it once did. "If that's the case, then there could have been some impetus for organisms of that nature to evolve - if indeed life took hold," John Miller told New Scientist. John Miller, a physics professor at the University of Houston in Texas, US, who has worked on ways of finding life on Mars.

Other microbes produce magnetite as a byproduct of using iron in their metabolism. So if life took hold on Mars, it might have taken advantage of the abundance of iron on Mars, whose distinctive red hue comes from iron oxide, says Miller.

A Mars meteorite called ALH84001 found in Antarctica created a stir in 1996, when scientists suggested it contained fossils of tiny Martian microorganisms, an idea that has since widely been discredited.

Mars Mines:
SpaceX chief executive Elon Musk, in September 2016 revealed details of his ambitious plans to get at least a million people to Mars, said mining robots will be a key part of the planned colonization of the red planet.

As part of his Reddit AMA session, the tech billionaire — who also heads electric-vehicle specialist Tesla Motors (NASDAQ:TSLA) — highlighted the vital role mining equipment is set to play when it comes to help people establish their homes in Mars.

He said he envisions geodesic domes on the surface made with glass panes supported by carbon fibre frames. Such structures would have additional areas mined out below the surface by robots for "industrial" uses.

"Initially, glass panes with carbon fibre frames to build geodesic domes on the surface, plus a lot of miner/tunnelling droids," Musk wrote. "With the latter, you can build out a huge amount of pressurized space for industrial operations and leave the glass domes for green living space."

Mascara Hairs:
The first written acknowledgement of antimony is found in an Egyptian papyrus from 16th century B.C. In ancient times, antimony was used in pottery or crushed down to a powder and used as a type of mascara known as khol. The most famous user of antimony was the temptress Jezebel in the Bible. According to the Bible: "And when Jehu was come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she painted her face, and tired her head, and looked out at a window."

She painted her face; literally, and she put her eyes in antimony; i.e. she adorned her eyes with the dark dye which has always been fashionable in the East, and which is still used at the present day. The dye is spread both on the upper and the lower eyelids. It at once increases the apparent size of the eye, and gives it unnatural brilliancy.

The first women to wear makeup were prostitutes! Changing one’s appearance by facial paint is a custom ancient prostitutes have dictated to the modern age. Cosmetics were nothing more than a device used by harlots to, in effect, teach men to break the Seventh Commandment. This is the message of history—yet the whole world lies in ignorance of these facts! Makeup first became common in the red-light districts of New York, Amsterdam, Paris and other large cities. Today it is found in nearly every supermarket and corner drugstore.

Throughout history, antimony has been used as a black eye makeup. A black antimony-based powder soluble in water known as stibium was the ancient version of mascara during Roman times and was also used to darken brows and lashes or as eyeliner.

It was the fallen angel named Azazel, that taught women the art of deception through the use of make-up and other beauty products. Azazel was responsible for teaching men the art of warfare by teaching them to make weapons, for which he was cast out of heaven. 1 Enoch 8:1–3a reads: And Azazel taught men to make swords and knives and shields and breastplates; and made known to them the metals of the earth and the art of working them; and bracelets and ornaments; and the use of antimony and the beautifying of the eyelids; and all kinds of costly stones and all colouring tinctures. And there arose much godlessness, and they committed fornication, and they were led astray and became corrupt in all their ways.

Mascara comes from late 19th century: from Italian, literally ‘mask,’ from Arabic masḵara ‘buffoon.’ Makeup makes you look like a buffoon; a clown or ridiculous looking person. In essence, to wear mascara is to wear a mask—and to masquerade as something that one is not. The magic and power of makeup has allowed some homosexual men to masquerade as women. Those wanting to fool the public into believing they are real women have utilized makeup in their arsenal as a weapon of deception. Without the use of makeup it would be obvious that these female impostors are really men. Makeup has made it difficult to differentiate the men from the women.

Husbands, brothers and sons encourage women to show their natural beauty. Women should NOT wear makeup. See Antimony and A Azazel Angel

Mason Eagles:
This symbol is probably the most easily recognizable Masonic symbol in the world, even more important than the Compass/Square/Rule.  Most people assume that these two birds are Eagles, but such an assumption would be wrong.  These two birds are the Phoenix Bird of Ancient Egyptian Mythology.  Listen to the explanation from Masonic author, Manly P. Hall, 33 Degree, K.T., in his book, The Phoenix: An Illustrated Review of Occultism and Philosophy .  [Before we begin, I find it highly interesting that Hall would admit, by his use of this title, that Freemasonry is occultic].

"Among the ancients a fabulous bird called the Phoenix is described by early writers ... in size and shape it resembles the eagle, but with certain differences.  The body of the Phoenix is one covered with glossy purple feathers, and the plumes in its tail are alternately blue and red.  The head of the bird is light in color, and about its neck is a circlet of golden plumage.  At the back of its back the Phoenix has a crest of feathers of brilliant color ... The Phoenix, it is said, lives for 500 years, and at its death its body opens and the new born Phoenix emerges.  Because of this symbolism, the Phoenix is generally regarded as representing immortality and resurrection ... The Phoenix is one sign of the secret orders of the ancient world and of the initiate of those orders, for it was common to refer to one who had been accepted into the temples as a man twice-born, or reborn.  Wisdom confers a new life, and those who become wise are born again." [p. p. 176-77]

Masonic Seal:
The Square and Compasses (or, more definitively,...a Square and a set of Compasses which are joined together...each leg of the compass pointing in opposite directions) is the single most universally identifiable symbol of Freemasonry.

Masonic authors boldly state that the symbolism of the traditional square and compass of Freemasonry represents the heterosexual sex act. Listen to Albert Pike explaining this fact to members of the 32nd Degree. "The Compass, therefore, is the Hermetic Symbol of the Creative Deity, and the Square of the productive Earth or Universe." (Morals and Dogma , p. 850-1). Therefore, the Masons look at the compass as the male phallus and the square as the female vulva. As you look at the Masonic Emblem here, you can see the obvious penetration of the female square point by the points of the Compass. One point of difference here is that the Satanist generally reverses the sex roles of the Compass and the Square. However, whichever way you look at it, the Compass and the Square are thought of as depicting the heterosexual sex act.

The Masonic Square and Compass is identical to the hexagram. The hexagram is only "another form of the Square and Compass, each having a base-line from which to form a triangle". Remember the words of a former witch, "When the male triangle penetrates the female triangle, it forms the six-pointed crest of the Seal of Solomon or hexagram, the most wicked symbol in witchcraft". [Dr. C. Burns, Masonic and Occult Symbols, p. 39]

"If the two lateral lines of the STAR OF DAVID are removed, leaving the upward and downward pointing arrows of priest and king, the result is the Freemason's square and compasses." (Knight, Christopher. Hiram Key. 1997 p. 240).

"The BLAZING STAR IS PROPERLY SIX-POINTED... the sign of the deity, and to make that more evident, in the middle of it is usually inscribed the letter 'G', for God... In Co-Masonic lodges, the usual form... is a serpent curled round with its tail in its mouth... This was the original form, but the head of the serpent was altered so as to form the letter G." (Leadbeater, C.W. The Hidden Life in Freemasonry. p. 79)

"I have seen a painting (in which) the BLAZING STAR in the center existed, but it had 8 points instead of 6 or 5. It was called 'the star of the dawn' or 'MORNING STAR'; and represented HORUS of the resurrection, who was pictured as bearing it upon his HEAD and as having given it to his followers." (Leadbeater, p. 7)

Mason Pledge:
THE MASON'S PLEDGE

by Rob Morris

Brother, hearken, while I tell you
What we Masons pledged to do
When, prepared at yonder altar,
We assumed the Mason's vow!
Foot and knee, breast, hand and cheek --
Hearken while I make them speak!

Foot to foot, on mercy's errand,
When we hear a brother's cry,
Hungry, thirsty, barefoot, naked,
With God's mercy let us fly.
This of all our thoughts the chief,
How to give him quick relief.

Knee to knee, in earnest praying,
None but God to hear or heed,
All our woes and sins confessing,
Let us for each other plead;
By the spirit of our call,
Let us pray for brothers all.

Breast to breast, in sacred casket,
At life's center let us seal
Every truth to us entrusted,
Nor one holy thing reveal!
What a Mason vows to shield,
Let him die, but never yield.

Hand to back, a brother's falling,
Look, his burdens are too great.
Stretch the generous hand and hold him
Up before it is too late.
The right arm's a friendly prop,
Made to hold a brother up.

Cheek to cheek, in timely whisper
When the temper strives to win.
Urge the brother's bounden duty,
Show him the approaching sin.
Point to him the deadly snare,
Save him with a brother's care.

Rob Morris was a prominent American poet and Freemason. He also created the first ritual for what was to become the Order of the Eastern Star.

Master Sai Baba:
Sai Baba of Shirdi was an Indian spiritual master who was and is regarded by his devotees as a saint, fakir, and satguru, according to their individual proclivities and beliefs. He was revered by both his Hindu and Muslim devotees. Sai Baba is worshipped by people around the world. Sai Baba stressed the importance of surrender to the guidance of the true Satguru or Murshid, who, having gone the path to divine consciousness himself, will lead the disciple through the jungle of spiritual training.

Sai Baba's disciples and devotees claim that he performed many miracles such as bilocation, levitation, mindreading, materialisation, exorcisms, making the river Yamuna, entering a state of Samadhi at will, lighting lamps with water, removing his limbs or intestines and sticking them back to his body (khandana yoga), curing the incurably sick, appearing beaten when another was beaten, preventing a mosque from falling down on people, and helping his devotees in a miraculous way. He also gave Darshan (vision) to people in the form of SriRama, Krishna, Vithoba and many other gods depending on the faith of devotees.

According to his followers he appeared to them in dreams and gave them advice. His devotees have documented many stories.

Math Circles:
A circle is a round plane figure whose boundary (the circumference) consists of points equidistant from a fixed point (the center). The circumference of a circle is the perimeter or the distance around the outer edge. If you measure the distance around a circle and divide it by the distance across the circle through the center, you will always come close to a particular value, depending upon the accuracy of your measurement. This value is approximately 3.14159265358979323846... We use the Greek letter pi to represent this value. The number pi goes on forever. However, using computers, pi has been calculated to over 1 trillion digits past the decimal point. See Infinite pi

Maya Pleiades:
The relationship with the Pleiades and the Mayan world is written in the sacred books of the Maya. The elders say the universe comes from the Pleiades. The Mayas believe it is the home of their ancestors. The Pleiades star system is referred to as the seven sisters and our sun aligns with Alcyone every 52 years.

Mayan Deaths:
Death rituals were an important part of Maya religion. The Maya greatly respected death; they were taught to fear it and grieved deeply for the dead. They also believed that certain deaths were more noble than others.

People who died by suicide, sacrifice, complications of childbirth and in battle were thought to be transported directly into heaven.

May First:
May Day on May 1 is an ancient northern hemisphere spring festival. Originally a pagan celebration called Beltane (which translates roughly to "day of fire"), May Day is observed as "Labor Day" or "International Workers' Day" in many countries, and organized street demonstrations and marches by working people and their labor unions are common.

May Day was meant to mark the coming of summer and fertility. It has traditionally been an occasion for popular and often raucous celebrations. Bonfires, often created by rubbing sticks together, were common features of Beltane celebrations. Related rituals included driving cattle between two fires, dancing around the fires, and burning witches in effigy. Another tradition was Beltane cakes, which would be broken into several pieces, one of which was blackened. They would be drawn by celebrants at random; the person getting the unlucky blackened piece would face a mock execution.

May 1 also marks the day the Illuminati was founded. The Illuminati is a name given to several groups, both historical and modern, and both real and fictitious. Historically, the name refers specifically to the Bavarian Illuminati, an Enlightenment-era secret society founded on May 1, 1776. In modern times, the Illuminati are believed to be the masterminds behind events that will lead to the establishment of a New World Order.

Furthermore, Osama Bin Laden and Adolf Hitler were both declared dead on May 1. On May 1, 1945, Germany announced that Adolf Hitler was dead, leading to the end of the allied campaign in Europe during World War II. That same date 66 years later, President Obama announced the death of the al-Qaeda leader and international terrorist.

Meat Lover:
"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world." (1John 2:15-16).

The word "lust" is used here in the general sense of desire, or that which is the object of desire. The phrase, "the lust of the flesh," here denotes that which pampers the appetites, or all that is connected with the indulgence of the mere animal propensities. Loving meat is a type of lust. But instead of the object of desire being a person, it's food. God does not want us to be lovers of flesh.

Medicine Sign:
The rod of Asclepius also known as the asklepian, is an ancient symbol associated with astrology, the Greek god Asclepius, and with medicine and healing. It consists of a serpent entwined around a staff. The name of the symbol derives from its early and widespread association with Asclepius, the son of Apollo, who was a practitioner of medicine in ancient Greek mythology. His attributes, the snake and the staff, sometimes depicted separately in antiquity, are combined in this symbol.

There are alternative theories accounting for the origin and development of the rod of Asclepius as a symbol. A similar symbol, Nehushtan, is mentioned in the Bible in the Book of Numbers: "And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died. Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived" (Num.21:6-9). See A Nehushtan

Mega Churches:
A mega church is a church having around 2,000 or more attendants for a typical weekly service. Mega churches are extra-large churches that can accommodate upwards of 15,000 people and are common among members of the evangelical Christian faith. In the United States, more than half of these large church institutions are non-denominational churches.

Mega churches across the United States are becoming increasingly popular which is not only bringing thousands of worshipers together, but also billions of dollars in profit. From self-help books to CDs and DVDs, mega churches are becoming big money makers for the pastors and ministries they are a part of.

Joel Osteen is a pastor at the Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas and his televised service reaches over seven million people each week across the United States and around the world. The Lakewood Church which Osteen is in charge of has a yearly budget of more than $80 million, but church officials deny that it's about money.

Scott Thumma, professor of sociology and religion at Hartford Seminary estimates: "the mega church on average has about $6.5 million in income a year."

Mehndi Design:
Mehndi or Mehandi is derived from the Sanskrit word mendhikā. The use of mehndi and turmeric is described in the earliest Hinduism's Vedic ritual books. Haldi (staining oneself with turmeric paste) as well as mehndi are Vedic customs, intended to be a symbolic representation of the outer and the inner sun. Vedic customs are centered around the idea of "awakening the inner light" and so the gold of the inner Sun has an important symbolic function.

Mehndi also known as henna in the western world is the application of as a temporary form of skin decoration, practiced mainly India and Nepal. Traditional mehndi designs draw the sun on the palm, which in this context represents the mind.

Mental Ward:
A psychiatric hospital, sometimes known as an asylum, is a hospital specializing in the treatment of serious mental illness, usually for relatively long-term inpatients. Patients are often admitted on a voluntary basis, but involuntary commitment is practiced when an individual may pose a significant danger to themselves or others.

During the 1940's treatment of the mentally ill included electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and insulin shock therapy, and the use of frontal lobotomy.

By the mid-1950s, drugs were introduced to patients. The first psychiatric medications became available, such as chlorpromazine. See Insanity

Messiah Dies: See Jesus Dies

Metastatic:
The spread of cancer from one part of the body to another. A tumor formed by cells that have spread is called a “metastatic tumor” or a “metastasis.” The metastatic tumor contains cells that are like those in the original (primary) tumor.

Michael Landon:
“I made people reach into their lives and look for a higher power, God or even themselves to solve their problems...every script I've written and every series I produced-not only Little House on the Prairie and Highway to Heaven, but the ones that didn't make it and the ones I just started- have expressed the things I most deeply believe...I believe...that there is God in all of us.” - Landon

Michael Landon (October 31, 1936 – July 1, 1991) was an American actor, writer, director, and producer, who starred in three popular NBC TV series that spanned three decades. In the hit series Highway to Heaven, Landon played Jonathan Smith, a probationary angel whose job was to help people in order to earn his wings. Contrary to the morals he sought to infuse his character with, Landon ended up cheating on and leaving his wife for another woman on his show. Landon's son, the homosexual entertainer, Chris Landon, had this to say about his late father:

“He was extremely liberal in his beliefs to pretty much everything. He was not closed-minded to anything...And I feel in a certain way I get to carry the side of my father that he didn't get to expose, which was his dark side. And he had it. And he had a very dry, sick sense of humor. And I think that comes through my work. I absolutely got that from him.” (Advocate12-7-99)

Landon's second wife Lynn Noe was a Christian and some of his children were raised as Christians. Landon claimed to be Jewish, though he didn't attend church service and considered himself vaguely religious. A week before his death Michael Landon was quoted as saying "All along, & especially recently, my beliefs have deeply disturbed some of my children, who have been terribly afraid that I will not have a place in God's house because I do not believe that Jesus Christ was the Son of God. ... I have my own way."

Subsequently, at his death, with his life almost over, Landon experienced frightening visions of what awaited him on the other side. His daughter recalls that he was “hearing voices.” She elaborates:

“He raised his fists and clawed at the air. I heard him mumbling...'No, not yet,' he said clearly, 'I'm not ready. No, I don't want to go.'...The nurse told us Dad had spent the night raising his hands and pawning at the air as though he was trying to keep something away.” See You are God

Migraine Headache:
A migraine headache is a primary headache disorder that effects approximately 12% of the population. It is a headache that tends to recur in an individual and is moderate to severe if left untreated. It can be one sided, throbbing and aggravated by routine physical activity. It can be associated with light and sound and even smell sensitivity and many patients will become nauseated with it. In a minority of patients there can be visual or sensory changes before, during or after the headache, known as auras.

Miming Dances:
Miming is the theatrical technique of suggesting action, character, or emotion without words, using only gesture, expression, and movement.

In earlier times, in English, such a performer would typically be referred to as a mummer. In Medieval Europe, early forms of mime such as mummer plays and later dumbshows evolved that exaggerated and emphasized physical traits and the vulgar or obscene behavior of characters.

The performance of mime originates at its earliest in Ancient Greece. Small troupes of Greek mime artists probably performed at banquets in the 5th century BC, making them the earliest known professional entertainers. The troupes included women, many of whom were also prostitutes.

The name mime is taken from a single masked dancer called Pantomimus, although performances were not necessarily silent. Pantomiming has evolved since it first originated in Ancient Greece and Rome. The ancients enjoyed watching a masked male dancer perform anything from high drama to semi-pornographic filth; for the show to qualify as pantomime, the only requirement was for this dancer to perform all the main roles. The lead performer and his supporting dancers were all exotically dressed and had an erotic presence. The licentiousness and anti-Christian satire of these performances led to the Church excommunicating all mime performers in the 5th century AD, after bishop Jacob of Serugh denounced them, calling dancers 'the pipe of Satan.' Pantomime faded into obscurity and reappeared, much changed, in Renaissance Italy.

During the Middle Ages, mime evolved from pantomiming into two different forms and it was used by traveling jesters who entertained and performed improvised mimes as well as performers who mimed the actions of the mystery, morality and miracle plays that developed in churches. Due to a low literacy rate of the general population, the church faced the problem of explaining a new religion to a largely illiterate population. Churches in the Early Middle Ages began staging dramatized versions of particular biblical events on specific days of the year. These dramatizations were included in order to vivify annual celebrations. Symbolic objects and actions (vestments, altars, censers, and pantomime performed by priests) recalled the events which Christian ritual celebrates.

Many elements of the Roman pantomime survived in the 16th-century commedia dell’arte, which was in turn the main source of modern mime. Many early church fathers such as Tatian, Tertullian and Augustine characterized the stage as an instrument in the Devil's fiendish plot to corrupt men's souls, while acting was considered sinful because of its cruel mockery of God's creation.

Miming plays with one’s imagination, and anything that brings confusion to one’s mind is dangerous.  Satan is the author of confusion and his plan is to destroy a person’s mind.  Miming is like anything else that plays tricks with a person’s mind (i.e. magic, illusion, pantomime, hypnosis, meditation, etc) after time the person may find that it is no longer entertaining – and may be unable to distinguish between what is real and what is not.

Mindflexes:
Mindflex is a toy which uses brain waves to steer a ball through an obstacle course. The brain waves are captured with the enclosed EEG headset, which allows the user to speed up or slow down a fan, thus lifting or lowering the blue styrofoam ball. The game was released in the fall of 2009. There has been criticism by scientists whether the toy actually measures brain waves or just randomly moves the ball, exploiting the well-known illusion of control. However, despite the Spiegel/Haynes experiments, supporters of the game believe that the headset does read EEGs (it uses the same chip as the MindSet from NeuroSky and has been used in homebuilt EEG machines). A more dubious hack was to use it to control an electric shock device.

Similar devices include: NeuroSky MindSet, Force Trainer, and Open EEG

Mink Furs:
The American Mink, is a member of the Mustelidae family found in Canada and most of the United States, particularly in Alaska. It is related to weasels, otters, European Mink, wolverines, and fishers. A domestic form of American Mink is raised in fur farms for its lustrous fur. The American Mink's fur has been highly prized for its use in clothing. Trapping for fur has decreased wild mink populations, and although the fur industry has increasingly turned to breeding minks, it continues to diminish wild populations.

Miracle Drug:
A drug, usually recently discovered or developed, noted for its startling curative effect, as an antibiotic or sulfa drug. Also called a wonder drug.

Misapply:
To misapply means to use (something) for the wrong purpose or in the wrong way.

Many people quote Scripture but apply a meaning to it that was never intended. The famous verse, "Judge not, that ye be not judged" (Matt. 7:1) is one the most overused and misunderstood of Jesus’ teachings that you will probably find. Often times non-Christians and those who reject the Bible will quote this verse out of context to excuse their actions when they are presented with the gospel and the consequences for sinners who reject it.

The claim that Christians are not to judge is often made when dealing with issues such as abortion, adultery, homosexual behavior, and same-sex marriage. When a Christian says, for example, that homosexual behavior is a sin and that same-sex marriage is wrong, he or she is often met with objections like the following:

“Who are you to judge two people who love each other?”, “Someone’s private life is none of your business. Don’t judge them.”, etc.

Of course, when they quote this verse in regard to such situations, they take it out of context to support their fallacious claims. When we consider the concept of judging, especially as it relates to the Sermon on the Mount, Christ tells us to be discerning, not condemning.

The incorrect understanding of the verse is that we are completely forbidden to call to attention any areas in others’ behaviors that demand correction. This is a clear misinterpretation of Christ’s teaching. The words of Christ:

John 7:24 “Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.”

Matthew 7:16 “You will recognize them by their fruits…”

Luke 17:3 “Be on your guard! If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.”

Matthew 18:15-17 “If your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private; if he listens to you, you have won your brother. 16 But if he does not listen to you, take one or two more with you, so that by the mouth of two or three witnesses every fact may be confirmed. 17 If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.

Clearly here, Christ says we are to judge righteously, recognize and discern good from evil by peoples’ actions, and rebuke our brothers and sisters when they sin. To rebuke a brother we must first identify that they have sinned. To identify a person’s sin, we must obviously first judge their behavior. Without the authority to judge others’ behaviors there is no permissible authority by which we could uphold governing laws, discipline children, select leaders, choose teachers and childcare providers, or discern which Bible teachers are profitable to listen to. Our selections of spouses, friends, and business partners are all based on judgments of character and ethics. Christ said, “You will know them by their fruits,” meaning we are to discern between a person who bears fruit, and a person who does not.

Misusing:
Misusing means to use (something) in the wrong way or for the wrong purpose. See Misapply

MK Project:
Project MK-ULTRA, or MKULTRA, was the code name for a covert CIA mind-control and chemical interrogation research program, run by the Office of Scientific Intelligence. This official U.S. government program began in the early 1950s, continuing at least through the late 1960s, and it used United States citizens as its test subjects. The published evidence indicates that Project MK-ULTRA involved the surreptitious use of many types of drugs, as well as other methods, to manipulate individual mental states and to alter brain function.

Project MK-ULTRA was first brought to wide public attention in 1975 by the U.S. Congress, although the CIA insists that MK-ULTRA-type experiments have been abandoned, 14-year CIA veteran Victor Marchetti has stated in various interviews that the CIA routinely conducts disinformation campaigns and that CIA mind control research continued. In a 1977 interview, Marchetti specifically called the CIA claim that MK-ULTRA was abandoned a "cover story."

MK-ULTRA experiments included administering LSD to CIA employees, military personnel, doctors, other government agents, prostitutes, mentally ill patients, and members of the general public in order to study their reactions. LSD and other drugs were usually administered without the subject's knowledge or informed consent, a violation of the Nuremberg Code that the U.S. agreed to follow after World War II.

Jonestown, the Guyana location of the Jim Jones cult and Peoples Temple mass suicide, was thought to be a test site for MKULTRA medical and mind control experiments after the official end of the program. Congressman Leo Ryan, a known critic of the CIA, was assassinated after he personally visited Jonestown to investigate various reported irregularities. See James Jones.

MLM Sale Scam:
Multi-level marketing (MLM) is a marketing strategy in which the sales force is compensated not only for sales they personally generate, but also for the sales of the other salespeople that they recruit. This recruited sales force is referred to as the participant's "downline", and can provide multiple levels of compensation. Other terms used for MLM include pyramid selling, network marketing, and referral marketing. According to the US FTC, some MLM plans get their benefit from exploiting other members of the network, and they are illegal pyramid schemes.

Companies that use MLM models for compensation have been a frequent subject of criticism and lawsuits. Criticism has focused on their similarity to illegal pyramid schemes, cult-like behavior, price fixing of products, high initial entry costs (for marketing kit and first products), emphasis on recruitment of others over actual sales, encouraging if not requiring members to purchase and use the company's products, exploitation of personal relationships as both sales and recruiting targets, complex and sometimes exaggerated compensation schemes, the company making major money off its training events and materials, and cult-like techniques which some groups use to enhance their members' enthusiasm and devotion.

Mondex Chip:
Mondex is a smart card electronic cash system which was originally developed by National Westminster Bank in the United Kingdom and subsequently sold to MasterCard International. Mondex launched in a number of markets during the 1990s, expanding from an original trial in Swindon, UK to Hong Kong, Guelph, and New York. It was also trialled on several British university campuses from the late 1990s, including the University of Edinburgh, University of Exeter (between 1997 and 2001), University of York, University of Nottingham, Aston University and Sheffield Hallam University.

Mondex is a payment system, based on smart card technology, which offers an alternative to paying cash for goods and services. With Mondex electronic cash, monetary value is stored as electronic information on a microchip, rather than as physical notes and coins. Mondex uniquely combines high security, person-to-person payment functionality, immediate value transfer, and multi-currency capability.

Mondex can be utilized across multiple channels, including the Internet. As all payment is conducted chip to chip, all that is needed is a card, and a reader.

With Mondex, you can only spend the value you have loaded, and no more. The chip keeps a record of your transactions, which you can see at any time by using the statement key on a Mondex wallet, telephone, or ATM.

Monetary:
"We are completely dependent on the commercial Banks. Someone has to borrow every dollar we have in circulation, cash or credit. If the Banks create ample synthetic money we are prosperous; if not, we starve. We are absolutely without a permanent money system. When one gets a complete grasp of the picture, the tragic absurdity of our hopeless position is almost incredible, but there it is. It is the most important subject intelligent persons can investigate and reflect upon. It is so important that our present civilization may collapse unless it becomes widely understood and the defects remedied very soon." Robert H. Hemphill, 1936 (Credit Manager of Federal Reserve Bank, Atlanta, Ga.)

Monetary relates to a nation's currency or coinage. In a monetary system, mechanisms are set in place by which a government provides money (cash) in a country's economy. It usually consists of a mint, central bank, and commercial banks.

Money Greed:
"For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows" (1 Timothy 6:10).

The love of money is a root of evil, because some people love money more than they love God. The root of the evil is greed; the desire to have money. The verse actually teaches that love of money (greed) is the sin.

In Jesus' time it was a common belief that wealth was a sign of God's favor. Jesus flatly rejected that idea most clearly in the Parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus (Luke 16:19-31). The rich man ended up in hell at least partly because of his hard-heartedness toward the beggar Lazarus. His great wealth was obviously not a sign of God's favor. Despite the Bible's many warnings against it, the idea that wealth is a sign of God's favor persists as an undercurrent today that is sometimes used to justify the accumulation of wealth. It is a mistake to assume that God's goal for your life is material prosperity. The Bible warns: "Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also" (Matt.6:19-21).

The Bible is full of metaphors that teach about the brief, temporary, transient nature of life on earth. Life is described as a mist, a fast runner, a breathe, and a wisp of smoke. The Bible says, "For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days on earth are a shadow" (Job 8:9). We won't be here long, so don't get too attached. Our life on Earth can be compared to a stay at hotel. Would you paint the walls and decorate the room if you were only going to be there a short time? Wordly possessions are temporary. Therefore you should not seek after things that will not last. Our real riches are not of this world. We are never really rich until we are rich in spirit.

Monistat:
Monistat (miconazole) is an imidazole antifungal agent, developed by Janssen Pharmaceutica, commonly applied topically to the skin or to mucus membranes to cure fungal infections. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, a critical component of fungal cell membranes.

Miconazole is mainly used externally for the treatment of athlete's foot, ringworm and jock itch. Internal application is used for oral or vaginal thrush (yeast infection). In addition the oral gel may also be used for the lip disorder angular cheilitis.

The anti-fungals have also been shown to breakdown latex. That's the same material used in condoms and diaphragms. After treating with MONISTAT*, you should wait 3 days before resuming use of condoms or diaphrams. MONISTAT* may damage condoms and diaphragms and cause them to fail. Do not rely on condoms or diaphragms to prevent sexually transmitted diseases or pregnancy during treatment. See A Sex Disease

Monotone:
The use of the monotone is confined chiefly to grave and solemn subjects. As the term monotone means unvarying tone in music or speaking. There will be as many monotones as there are notes, vocally used in speech, in the Diatonic Musical scale, viz: monotones of the 2d, 3d, 5th, and octave. The higher monotones are particularly applicable to violent interrogation mingled with anger, as in the reply of "Death to Satan," at the gate of Pandemonium, commencing:

"Art thou that traitor Angel, Ac,'' in the second book of Paradise Lost. The violent rage of the goblin, requires a monotone of the fifth or octave, from the beginning to the end of his reply to the scornful salutation of Satan, accompanied by very rapid time.

Monsanto:
Monsanto is an agricultural company that develops products to genetically modify food. Genetically modified (GM) foods are foods derived from genetically modified organisms. Genetically modified organisms have had specific changes introduced into their DNA by genetic engineering, unlike similar food organisms which have been modified from their wild ancestors through selective breeding (plant breeding and animal breeding) or mutation breeding. GM foods were first put on the market in the early 1990s. Typically, genetically modified foods are transgenic plant products: soybean, corn, canola, and cotton seed oil, but animal products have been developed. For example, in 2006 a pig engineered to produce omega-3 fatty acids through the expression of a roundworm gene was controversially produced. Monsanto brags that it manufactures the world's best selling herbicide, Roundup.

Moon Blast:
In 2009, NASA launched a mission to fire a high velocity impactor rocket onto the Moon. Their LCROSS mission will blast off from Cape Canaveral, Florida, carrying a missile that will blast a hole in the lunar surface at twice the speed of a bullet. The missile, a Centaur rocket, will be steered by a shepherding spacecraft that will guide it towards its target - a crater close to the Moon's south pole. Scientists expect the blast to be so powerful that a huge plume of debris will be ejected. Space scientists want to see if any water ice or vapor is revealed in the cloud of debris. Though the Moon mostly a dry airless desert, they believe ice could be trapped in crater shadows near the south pole which never receive any sunlight. If so it could provide vital supplies for a manned moon base.

Moral Decline:
Social decline or moral decline is typically characterised as reduced adherence to cultural or social norms or values and widespread lapses in ethical behavior.

Morgellon:
Condition referred to by the Centers for Disease Control as an unexplained dermopathy and debilitating condition. According to the CDC: "Persons who suffer from this condition report a range of coetaneous symptoms including crawling, biting and stinging sensations; granules, threads or black speck-like materials (fibers) on or beneath the skin; and/or skin lesions (e.g., rashes or sores) and some sufferers also report systemic manifestations such as fatigue, mental confusion, short term memory loss, joint pain, and changes in vision."

Mortal Men:
The Bible defines Man as a living being, life, etc. that is mortal. The word mortal is defined "subject to death; destined to die".

God created man to live, but God did not purpose that man should live if he sinned. This is the way it was presented to Adam: "Of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die," (Gen. 2:17).

Mortal Life: See Mortal Men

Mortgaging:
Mortgages are loans in which a borrower (i.e. a home buyer) posts a property as collateral in order to receive a loan from a lender (i.e. a financial institution). Mortgages are traditionally used in reference to real estate purchases.

The word mortgage is a Law French term meaning "death contract," meaning that the pledge ends (dies) when either the obligation is fulfilled or the property is taken through foreclosure.

In 2007, the US economy entered a mortgage crisis that caused panic and caused other financial problems. The mortgage crisis was a result of too much borrowing and flawed financial modeling, largely based on the assumption that home prices only go up. Greed and fraud also played important parts.

Moslem Allah:
Allah is a term used by Moslems or Muslims as a reference to God. In pre-Islamic Arabia amongst pagan Arabs, Allah was not considered the sole divinity. Allah had associates and companions, as well as sons and daughters. See Demon God Allah

Mourning:
"When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn." (Prov. 29:2).

Renowned biblical commentator Matthew Henry wrote about this passage that: "The people will have cause to rejoice or mourn according as their rulers are righteous or wicked; for, if the righteous be in authority, sin will be punished and restrained, religion and virtue will be supported and kept in reputation; but, if the wicked get power in their hands, wickedness will abound, religion and religious people will be persecuted, and so the ends of government will be perverted".

It is rather matter of rejoicing than mourning. "When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth; and when the wicked perish, there is shouting" (Prov.11:10).

Mouse Feces:
Mouse feces or droppings are waste matter discharged from the intestines through the anus. Mouse feces indicate areas where mice are most active. Measuring approximately 3 to 6 mm in length, they are granular in shape and black in color. Mouse feces are commonly mistaken for cockroach or rat droppings.

These droppings may carry harmful bacteria, diseases and viruses and should not be handled without the use of protective gloves and an OSHA-approved respirator and functioning cartridges. Hantavirus is contracted through the inhalation of particles of contaminated feces, as well as inhalation or ingestion of an infected mouse’s saliva or urine.

Hantavirus is a life-threatening disease spread to humans by rodents. It has symptoms similar to influenza.

Rodents carrying the hantavirus have been found in many U.S. national parks. As of November 1, 2012, the National Park Service (NPS) has announced a total of 10 confirmed cases of hantavirus infection in people who recently visited Yosemite National Parks. Campers and hikers may be more likely to catch the disease than most people. This is because they pitch tents on the forest floor and lay their sleeping bags down in musty cabins.

However, only a couple of cases have been directly linked to camping or hiking. Most people who are exposed to the virus have come in contact with rodent droppings in their own homes.

Movie Award:
"Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth" (Ex.20:4).

The Academy Awards (frequently known as the Oscars) are accolades by the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) to recognize excellence of professionals in the film industry, including directors, actors, and writers. It is the oldest award ceremony in the media. The Oscar statuette is one of the best known awards presented by the Academy. The statuette is made of gold-plated britannium on a black metal base, it is 13.5 in (34 cm) tall, weighs 8.5 lb (3.85 kg) and depicts a knight rendered in Art Deco style holding a crusader's sword standing on a reel of film with five spokes. The five spokes each represent the original branches of the Academy: Actors, Writers, Directors, Producers, and Technicians.

MS Drug Gang:
Mara Salvatrucha (commonly abbreviated as MS, Mara, and MS-13) is a transnational criminal gang that profits in drug related crimes all over America. They originated in Los Angeles.

Since its creation in California and Washington, DC, MS-13 has expanded into Oregon, Alaska, Texas, Nevada, Utah, Oklahoma, Illinois, Michigan, New York, Maryland, Virginia, Georgia, Florida, Canada, and Mexico. It maintains active ties with MS-13 members and other factions in El Salvador.

A former MS member claims that the gang is Satanic and uses pentagrams, the satanic salute (devil's horns) as their gang hand sign, and other satanic symbols.

Murshids:
A Murshid is Arabic for "guide" or "teacher", with the basic meaning of having integrity, being sensible, mature. Particularly in Sufism it refers to a supreme spiritual guide.

Muscle Diet:
For many body builders, dieting for muscle gain is simply a matter of increasing your protein intake. According to Mayo Clinic, several health problems may result if a high-protein diet is followed for an extended time:

Some high-protein diets restrict carbohydrate intake so much that they can result in nutritional deficiencies or insufficient fiber, which can cause problems such as bad breath, headache and constipation.

Some high-protein diets include foods such as red meat and full-fat dairy products, which may increase your risk of heart disease.

A high-protein diet may worsen kidney function in people with kidney disease because your body may have trouble eliminating all the waste products of protein metabolism.

The National Health and Nutrition Survey has been collating data on 6,381 people across the US, and found that diets rich in animal protein (as opposed to protein routinely taken from plant sources) could be as harmful to health as other vices such as smoking. Those under the age of 65 who regularly consume a lot of meat, eggs and dairy are four times more likely to die of cancer or diabetes.

If you want to follow a high-protein diet, choose your protein wisely. Good choices include soy protein, beans, nuts, fish, skinless poultry, lean beef and low-fat dairy products. Avoid processed meats.

According to the Bible: "And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things" (1Cor.9:25). Any diet "high" in anything can be bad for you. Moderation is the key.

Museums:
A museum is a building or institution which houses a collection of artifacts. Museums collect and care for objects of scientific, artistic, or historical importance and make them available for public viewing through exhibits that may be permanent or temporary.

There are many types of museums, from very large collections in major cities, covering many of the categories below, to very small museums covering either a particular location in a general way, or a particular subject, such an individual notable person. Categories include: fine arts, applied arts, craft, archaeology, anthropology and ethnology, history, cultural history, military history, science, technology, children's museums, natural history, numismatics, botanical and zoological gardens and philately.
