Pack of Liars:
An exclusive circle of people who fabricate events or concoct stories to suit some purpose.

May also be a reference to a children's book called "A Pack of Liars". A Pack of Liars is a book for children in the middle age range. It was first published in 1988. In the story, all the pen pals Laura and Oliver get are either so boring they send you to sleep, or complete basket cases. Tedious Miranda is the last straw. So Laura writes back and weaves a fantastic tissue of lies about herself and her exotic life. But Laura isn't the only one making things up. See To Tell A Lie

Pagan's Sabbath:
The Witches' Sabbath or Sabbat is a supposed meeting of those who practice witchcraft, Satanism, or other rites. The term Sabbat originated from Abrahamic faiths such as Judaism and Christianity and is of Hebrew origin, the festivals themselves have historical origins in Celtic and Germanic pre-Christian feasts.

Papal Armies:
Papal armies were the Pope's military forces. Swiss Guard was the name given to the Swiss soldiers who serve as bodyguards, ceremonial guards, and palace guards at foreign European courts since the late 15th century. The Papal Swiss Guard in the Vatican was founded in 1506.

Papal State:
A papal state was a manor (a large self-sufficient estate) or fief (a collection of several manors) headed by a lord (landowner) who was a member of the clergy (church official). A papal state was part of the political and economic system called feudalism that was practiced during the Middle Ages (A.D. c. 450-c. 1500; also called medieval period). The Roman Catholic Church organized these territories-including much of what is now the Mediterranean coast of France and most of central Italy-into states, which played an important role in medieval life. Like the fiefs, the papal states collected taxes, maintained courts of law and were prone to war and invasion.

Parthenon:
The Parthenon is a temple on the Athenian Acropolis, Greece, dedicated to the Greek goddess Athena, whom the people of Athens considered their patron. She was usually called Pallas Athena or Parthenos, virgin, being a virgin goddess. The owl was the animal that symbolized her and the Acropolis was said to be full of owls in ancient Athens.

The Parthenon survived as a temple to Athena for close to a thousand years. Sometime in the 5th century AD, the great cult image of Athena was looted by one of the Emperors, and taken to Constantinople, where it was later destroyed, possibly during the siege of Constantinople during the Fourth Crusade in 1204 AD. During this time, Roman Emperor Constantine made Christianity the state religion, overthrowing the millennial polytheism of the Greeks and Romans. Christians immediately marched into Greece and declared war against the many gods of the Greeks, including Athena. Shortly after this, Greece became Christian and the Parthenon was converted into the church of Mary, mother of Jesus. After Christianity conquered paganism, all the monuments and structures in Greece were renamed and served as churches and cathedrals.

Pashupati:
Pashupati (Sanskrit: Paœupati), "Lord of cattle", is an epithet of the Hindu deity Shiva. In Vedic times it was used as an epithet of Rudra. The Rigveda has the related pashupa "protector of cattle" as a name of Pushan. The Pashupatinath Temple is the most important Hindu shrine for all Hindus in Nepal and also for many Hindus in India and rest of the world.

A seal discovered during excavation of the Mohenjodaro archaeological site in the Indus Valley has drawn attention as a possible representation of a "yogi" or "proto-Shiva" figure. This "Pashupati" (Lord of Animals, Sanskrit paœupati) seal shows a seated figure, possibly ithyphallic, surrounded by animal. The pose is reminiscent of that of Cernunnos, the Horned God as found, for example, on the Gundestrup Cauldron. Some observers describe the figure as sitting in a traditional cross-legged yoga pose with its hands resting on its knees. The discoverer of the seal, Sir John Marshall, and others have claimed that this figure is a prototype of Shiva, and have described the figure as having three faces, seated in a "yoga posture" with the knees out and feet joined. Pass Out:
To lose consciousness from weakness, physical or emotional distress due to a loss of blood supply to the brain. Passing out is also referred to as fainting. According to the Bible, when Jacob’s sons returned from Egypt and told him of Joseph and his position there, "Jacob’s heart fainted, for he believed them not" (Gen. 45:26). Anything that causes us to let go our faith will bring fainting. Sorrow is also a cause for fainting. "When I would comfort myself against sorrow, my heart is faint in me" (Jer. 8:18). Anything that causes discouragement reacts on faith and causes us to faint if we yield to its influence. When people faint spiritually, they feel just as Jonah did when he fainted literally. He "wished in himself to die, and said, It is better for me to die than to live" (Jon. 4:8). Many persons have felt exactly this way because of their spiritual troubles.

There is an unfailing remedy for fainting. David said, "I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord" (Ps. 27:13).

Pasta Plate:
According to the USDA, the recommended size of a portion of pasta is ½ cup cooked, or the amount of pasta that would fit into a cupped hand. A serving this size has about 80-90 calories. A plate of pasta served by most restaurants is 3-4 times larger. Most kids can and will eat an entire plate of pasta. The extra pasta in their bodies is stored as fat. Portion size is important.

Overeating is one of the main reasons that people become overweight and obese. The average woman needs up to 2000 calories per day for weight maintenance, the average man about 2500 calories. Did you know that 100 extra calories each day over a year will result in a 10-pound weight gain in a year? For many of us, that 100 calories is the result of regularly eating larger portions than we need. It is no surprise then that these large serving sizes are contributing to the development of obesity around the world.

Furthermore, a plate of pasta contains at-least 30 teaspoons of sugar. Could you imagine how gross it would be to sit in front of your sugar bowl and eat 30 teaspoons of sugar? But that’s exactly what you are doing every time you sit down to have a plate of pasta.

Patient Card:
It’s not unusual for hospitals to issue ID cards to patients, but historically those cards have contained very little information – the patient’s name, some minimal personal info, and perhaps a photo. That’s all starting to change however as healthcare facilities explore the benefits of smart card technology.

Patriotic:
To be patriotic is to express love and devotion to one's country and a willingness to sacrifice yourself for it. According to the Bible, people should sacrifice themselves to God. Paul says: "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service" (Rom. 12:1).

Pay Mammon:
The word mammon is a transliteration from the Hebrew word "mammon", which means "money." The word mammon is often thought of in connection with the New Testament: "Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. You can not serve both God and Mammon.

Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?" (Matt.6:19-21, 24, 26).

"And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves" (Matt. 21:12).

In essence these passages can be seen as a rejection of acquiring wealth, or Mammon, in preference to serving God first.

Pay Tax:
To pay tax is to pay an imposed financial charge or other levy upon a taxpayer (an individual or legal entity) by a state or the functional equivalent of a state such that failure to pay is punishable by law. Taxes consist of direct tax or indirect taxes.

Daniel refers to the Antichrist as a raiser of taxes. Daniel says "Then shall stand up in his estate a raiser of taxes in the glory of the kingdom: but within few days he shall be destroyed, neither in anger, nor in battle" (Dan. 11:20).

Pazuzu:
In Assyrian and Babylonian mythology, Pazuzu was the king of the demons of the wind, and son of the god Hanbi. Pazuzu is the demon of the southwest wind known for bringing famine during dry seasons, and locusts during rainy seasons.

Pectin Cancer:
Pectin is a carbohydrate that is made of hundreds or thousands of sugar molecules chemically linked together. It is found in most plants and is particularly plentiful in the peels of apples, citrus fruits, and plums. In modified citrus pectin, the pectin has been chemically altered to break its molecules into smaller pieces. Pectin in its natural form cannot be absorbed by the body and is considered a type of soluble dietary fiber, whereas modified pectin can be absorbed into the bloodstream. Pectin is produced commercially as a white to light brown powder, mainly extracted from citrus fruits, and is used in food as a gelling agent particularly in jams and jellies.

Modified Citrus Pectin is thought to be useful in the prevention and treatment of metastatic cancer, not as a curative therapy of already established tumors. In one study, Modified Citrus Pectin inhibited metastasis in rats injected with melanoma and human prostate cancer cells. Animal studies have resulted in the discovery of the mechanisms by which Modified Citrus Pectin exerts its anticancer effects but these results have not been translated to humans yet.

Pentacle Image:
A pentacle is an amulet used in magical evocation, generally made of parchment, paper or metal (although it can be of other materials), on which the symbol of a spirit or energy being evoked is drawn.

Pentagons:
A pentagon is any five-sided polygon. A pentagon may be simple or self-intersecting. A pentagram is an example of a self-intersecting pentagon. A pentagram or pentangle is a regular star pentagon. Its sides form the diagonals of a regular convex pentagon - in this arrangement the sides of the two pentagons are in the golden ratio.

A pentagram is drawn with or without a circle. The five points represent the elements: water, earth, fire, air and spirit (or man). The outer circle of the circumscribed pentagram is sometimes interpreted as binding the elements together or bringing them into harmony with each other. The center of the pentagram represents a deity. The pentagram is used to summon the gods, goddesses or demons. The center of the pentagon binds the deity. The deity may be controlled and forced to do the will of the adept.

People Sin:
People sin because they have forgotten God. “We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of heaven . . . We have grown in numbers, wealth and power. . . But we have forgotten God . . . We have become . . . too proud to pray to the God that made us." ~ Abraham Lincoln

People sin because, "There is no fear of God before their eyes" (Romans 3:18). They have no respect for God, our Creator. But the "whole duty of man" is to "fear God and keep His commandments" (Ecclesiastes 12:13). Before we can keep God’s commandments we must know what they are. But God says, "My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge" (Hosea 4:6).

People sin because they are deceived by sin. "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us" (1 John 1:8). Because of the deceitfulness of sin, we are to, "Beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked" (2 Peter 3:17). We are warned, "Let no man deceive you with vain words" (Ephesians 5:6). Yes, sin is deceiving.

People sin because there is temporary pleasure in sin. Moses chose "rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season" (Hebrews 11:25). Because of the pleasures of sin, we are tempted and enticed. "But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin, and sin when it is finished, brings forth death" (James 1:14-15).

People sin because, "The soul of the wicked desires evil" (Proverbs 21:10). Jesus asks, "Why do you think evil in your hearts?" (Matthew 9:4). People sin because they "love evil more than good, lying rather than speaking righteousness" (Psalms 52:3). And because of this they "call evil good and good evil" (Isaiah 5:20).

People sin because they are deceived by false doctrine. "If anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let hem be accursed" (Galatians 1:9). If one wanders away into the sin of denominationalism, he will be lost. "Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God" (1 John 9). We must be faithful to God and His word.

People sin because of the influence of the people with whom they associate. "Do not be deceived: evil company corrupts good habits" (1 Corinthians 15:33). We must carefully choose our associates. To protect ourselves from sin we must, "Abstain from all appearance of evil" (1 Thessalonians 5:22).

People sin when we don’t do what they should do. "Therefore, to him that knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin" (James 4:17). One of the things some people fail to do is they fail to assemble for worship. But we are not to "forsake the assembling of ourselves together as is the manner of some…for if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sin" (Hebrews 10:25-26). If we continue willfully in our sin and don’t repent, we will die in our sins and be lost (John 8:24). Let us not be deceived by sin, because the wages of sin is spiritual death in Hell forever (Romans 6:23).

Peramivir:
Peramivir is an experimental antiviral drug developed by BioCryst Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of influenza. It has been authorized for the emergency use of treatment of certain hospitalized patients with known or suspected 2009 H1N1 influenza.

In October 2009, it was reported that the experimental antiviral drug Peramivir had been effective in treating serious cases of Influenza A (H1N1) "Swine Flu". On October 23, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued an Emergency Use Authorization for Peramivir, allowing the use of the drug in intravenous form for hospitalized patients only in cases where the other available methods of treatment are ineffective or unavailable; for instance, if oseltamivir (Tamiflu) resistance develops and a person is unable to take Relenza via the inhaled route. Perfection:
The state of being without flaw or defect. The Bible speaks about the possibility of being perfect. It says that it is not possible! "There is not a righteous man on earth who does what is right and never sins" (Ecclesiastes 7:11). Likewise, according to Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." One cannot then be perfect because everyone has committed sin. Man should not then deceive himself and struggle for perfection when the Bible explicitly says that it cannot be reached!

Because no man is perfect, you must accept the fact that you are going to make mistakes. Do not become bitter over the mistakes you make or mistakes made by other people, learn from them and become better. Acknowledge to God and admit to your mistakes and try to think of ways that you can prevent yourself from making them again. You don't have to let the mistakes of the past dictate your present. You can start making positive changes in your life today. If things don't work out for you today, God gave us tomorrow. Leave yesterday behind you and look forward to the future. Tomorrow is a new day. If you have problems and can't find the solution, God has answers. Seek God for advice. Don't wait until you're in trouble to seek out God. If you haven't spoken to God in a long time, call on him. God has been waiting to hear from you. God wants to hear from you. No matter where you have gone wrong in your life, God wants to help you set things right. God loves you. Re-establish a relationship with God. Talk to God everyday.

Perihelion:
The perihelion is the point in the orbit of a planet, asteroid or comet where it is nearest to the sun. When Earth is at perihelion, it is about 147 million km (91 million miles) from the Sun. Earth reaches perihelion, its closest approach to the Sun and when you might think it should be warmest, in January - the middle of winter in the Northern Hemisphere!

Phony Name:
Phony names or pseudonyms are fictitious names used by a person, or sometimes, a group. Pseudonyms are often used to hide an individual's real identity, as with writers' pen names, graffiti artists, resistance fighters or terrorists' noms de guerre and computer hackers handles. The term is derived from the Greek (pseudnymon), literally "false name", "lie, falsehood" and (ףnoma), "name".

An image is a copy or a likeness of an object or scene or person or abstraction on a surface. A graven image is a sculptured representation. Also denotes man made objects.

Also refers to picture identification that will be added to RFID implants in the future to prevent theft. Many consumers worry about potential identity theft if an implantable RFID chip were forcefully removed from a peron's hand. Creating picture ID's insures that if the chip is stolen the device could not be used by a thief. The RFID would be scanned and a picture ID would pull up on a monitor. The RFID device would contain your driver's license or photo ID, health insurance record, financial records, criminal records, etc.

Pig's Pork:
Pork is the culinary name for meat from the domestic pig (Sus domesticus). The word pork often denotes specifically the fresh meat of the pig, but can be used as an all-inclusive term which includes cured, smoked, or processed meats (ham, bacon, prosciutto, etc.). It is also a common ingredient of sausages. It is one of the most-commonly consumed meats worldwide.

pi Hair Circle:
By definition, pi is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. pi is always the same number, no matter which circle you use to compute it.

The shape of the follicle largely determines how hair grows. Because East Asian hair follicles are almost always completely round, they typically have very straight hair. On the other hand, Afro-Caribbean hair follicles are oval and the hair grows in a spiral-like fashion.

pi in the Bible:
In the first Book of Kings, Solomon selects Hiram to create a large, bronze basin of water for the new temple. 1 Kings 7:23 describes how Hiram “made the molten sea; it was round, ten cubits from brim to brim, and five cubits high, and a line of thirty cubits measured its circumference” (a cubit is about 18 inches in length).

The skeptic says this is mistaken, because if the diameter of the basin was ten cubits, then the circumference should be about 31.4 cubits, not thirty cubits. Steve Wells, the author of the Annotated Skeptics Bible, writes, "This verse implies that the value of pi is 3. (The actual value is approximately 3.14159)." Skeptics sometimes use this passage to try to demonstrate that the Bible contains a mathematical error and argue that the Bible is unworthy of belief.

However, the Bible verse merely gives an estimate of pi that is rounded to the nearest full digit. Why would they round pi? Because pi may have been considered an evil number! Evil numbers have the despicable property that if the digits following the decimal point are added one at a time, 666 will be hit exactly. The first 144 digits of pi add up to 666, which many scholars say is “the mark of the Beast". The number 666 appears many times in pi. The first time 666 appears is at position 2440. The number 666 occurs more than 50 times in the first 100,000 digits of pi. See Infinite pi

Pimentos:
A pimento, pimiento, or cherry pepper is a variety of large, red, heart-shaped chili pepper. Apparently, in most cheap green olives, the pimento in the center isn't actually pimento at all. Instead, it's alginate--a gelatin-like substance that is also used in scientific experiments.

Alginic acid, also called algin or alginate, is an anionic polysaccharide distributed widely in the cell walls of brown algae, where through binding with water it forms a viscous gum. Its colour ranges from white to yellowish-brown. It is sold in filamentous, granular or powdered forms.

Alginate absorbs water quickly, which makes it useful as an additive in dehydrated products such as slimming aids, and in the manufacture of paper and textiles. It is also used for waterproofing and fireproofing fabrics, It is used in the food industry as a thickening agent for drinks, ice cream and cosmetics and as a gelling agent for jellies.

Alginate is used as an ingredient in various pharmaceutical preparations, such as Gaviscon, in which it combines with bicarbonate to inhibit reflux. Sodium alginate is used as an impression-making material in dentistry, prosthetics, lifecasting and for creating positives for small-scale casting.

Pineal's Eye:
The pineal's eye, also known as the third eye or inner eye, is a part of the epithalamus present in some animal species. The third eye is a mystical and esoteric concept referring to a speculative invisible eye which provides perception beyond ordinary sight. The third eye is often associated with psychic visions, clairvoyance, the ability to observe chakras and auras, precognition, and out-of-body experiences. People who are claimed to have the capacity to utilize their third eyes are sometimes known as seers.

Pine Trees:
Christmas trees have been sold commercially in the United States since about 1850. The best selling Christmas trees are Scotch pine, Douglas fir, Noble fir, Fraser fir, Virginia pine, balsam fir and white pine. The use of evergreen trees to celebrate the winter season occurred before the birth of Christ. Trees have been objects of worship in all parts of the world (comp. Mannhardt, "Wald- und Feldkulte," Berlin, 1875). They were worshiped among the Semites (comp. Wellhausen, "Reste Arab. Heidentums," 2d ed., 1897, pp. 101 et seq.; W. R. Smith, "Rel. of Sem." 2d ed., 1894, pp. 185 et seq.; Barton, "Sketch of Semitic Origins," pp. 87 et seq.), and the Hebrews were no exception to this. The Bible states: "Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not" (Jer.10:2-4).

This is interpreted by some fundamentalist Christians as referring to a Christmas tree, and that therefore the Bible would explicitly forbid the practice. Other interpretations suggest that the passage refers to idol worship.

Historical evidence supports the finding that trees were worshiped as idols. Early Christians and Muslims treated the worship of trees as idolatry and this led to their destruction in Europe and most of West Asia. Tree worship has played an important role in many of the world's mythologies and religions, and have been given deep and sacred meanings throughout the ages. According to the Bible, worship and praise are reserved only for God (Revelation 19:10). We are not to worship saints, prophets, statues, idols, angels, objects or any other false gods. Early pagans decorated living trees with bits of metal and replicas of their God, Bacchus. These practices continue to the present day. Christmas trees are decorated with shiny gold and silver or multicolor tinsel made of plastic instead of metal. Miniature toy figurines are hung from the branches instead of replicas of Bacchus. Today the tree is also worshiped through songs like "O Christmas Tree." Furthermore, offerings are placed under the Christmas tree. This is a form of sacrifice. Sacrificing is the act of offering objects to a divinity, thereby making them holy. In ancient times, various deities were associated with trees.

In almost every part of the world, travelers have observed the custom of hanging objects upon trees in order to establish some sort of a relationship between themselves and the tree. Throughout Europe also, a mass of evidence has been collected testifying to the lengthy persistence of superstitious practices and beliefs concerning them. The trees are known as the scenes of pilgrimages, ritual ambulation, and the recital of (Christian) prayers. Wreaths, ribbons, rags, or clothing were suspended from the branches to win favor for sick men or cattle, or merely for good luck. These were common practices during the December celebrations of Saturnalia, which was strictly forbidden by the Church. In the early third century Tertullian had warned his fellow Christians against being influenced by Saturnalia by using Christmas decorations (Tertullian, "On Idolatry," XV).

Pink Boys:
"The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God" (Deut. 22:5).

"Pink boys" are boys with a strong interest in traditionally female gender presentation but who identify as boys or biologically male kids who identify as both genders.

Pinwheels:
In cryptography, a pinwheel was a device for producing a short pseudorandom sequence of bits (determined by the machine's initial settings), as a component in a cipher machine. A pinwheel consisted of a rotating wheel with a certain number of positions on its periphery. Each position had a "pin" or "lug" which could be either "set" or "unset". As the wheel rotated, each of these pins would in turn affect other parts of the machine, producing a series of "on" or "off" pulses which would repeat after one full rotation of the wheel. If the machine contained more than one wheel, usually their periods would be relatively prime to maximize the combined period. See Encoded Maths

pi Pyramid:
The Great Pyramid is one of the most comprehensively surveyed buildings in the World. Scientists over the centuries have taken thousands of measurements in their quest to find out more about its mysteries. We know from geometry that there is a universal relationship between the diameter of a circle and its circumference. Consider this: The height of the Pyramid's apex is 5,812.98 inches, and each side is 9,131 inches from corner to corner (in a straight line). If the circumference of the Pyramid is divided by twice its height (the diameter of a circle is twice the radius), the result is 3.14159, which is pi. This calculation is accurate to six digits. So the Pyramid is a square circle, and thus pi was designed into it 4,600 years ago. Pi is demonstrated many times throughout the Pyramid.

Pirate Dagger:
Pirates used a wide range of weapons during their time on the sea, from simple ship’s tools used for lethal tasks, to ornate cannons meant to destroy other ships. Pirates used daggers to stab their victims. Daggers were used not only for fighting, but also for everyday tasks on board the ship, from cutting rope to eating food.

pi Symbol:
The Phoenician letter Pe (meaning mouth) gave rise to the Greek pi (π). The Greek alphabet (and by extension its descendants such as the Latin, the Cyrillic and the Coptic), was a direct successor of Phoenician, though certain letter values were changed to represent vowels.

The Greek letter π was first adopted for the number as an abbreviation of the Greek word for perimeter (περίμετρος), or as an abbreviation for "periphery/diameter", by William Jones in 1706. This symbol for pi was used by the early English mathematicians William Oughtred (1574 -1660), Isaac Barrow (1630-1677), and David Gregory (1661-1701) to designate the circumference , or periphery, of a circle. The first to use the symbol for the ratio of the circumference to the diameter was the English writer, William Jones, in a publication in 1706. The symbol was not generally used in this sense, however, until Euler (1707-1783) adopted it in 1737.

pi is the sixteenth letter of the Greek alphabet. pi (rather than some other Greek letter like Alpha or Omega) was chosen as the letter to represent the number 3.141592... because the letter in Greek, pronounced like our letter 'p', stands for 'perimeter'.

pi is a mathematical constant whose value is the ratio of any circle's circumference to its diameter in Euclidean space; this is the same value as the ratio of a circle's area to the square of its radius. It is approximately equal to 3.141593 in the usual decimal notation.

pi is a number that cannot be expressed as a fraction because it is used to calculate the area of circles. The number pi is 'hidden' in every circle. Irrational numbers have never-ending decimals and therefore their exact value can never be expressed.

pi is the mathematical ratio that man has been trying to unlock for millennia. It's impossible to know what pi is, because its digits rattle off into infinity. Some mathematicians believe that if we could only find some pattern in pi, even some hint that there were more fours than sevens, it could lead to a huge breakthrough in our understanding of the universe.

The late physicist Carl Sagan, in his novel Contact, hinted at the idea that the number 'pi' holds a message from a lost alien civilization. For this reason, it is of the utmost importance that Biblical scholars properly identify who the “Phoenicians” are since the Greek alphabet was adopted from the Phoenicians.

Poenicia was an maritime country of southwest Asia consisting of city-states along the eastern Mediterranean Sea in present-day Syria and Lebanon.

Phoenicia is a very important part of many of the earliest Greek myths, along with much of the Greek language. Wherever such Phoenicians are described by the Greek writers, they were absolutely a White, fair-haired, fair-skinned people. Even the Roman poet Virgil in his Aeneid described the Carthaginian queen Dido, a Phoenician, as being blonde and beautiful.

The religion of the Phoenicians was semitic. It was similar, if not identical with the Canaanite. Each segment (city) had it's own god and culture. For instance, at Byblos deities were known as Baalat, Byblos, El, and Adonis. At Sidon, there were Astarte and the Baal of Sidon. At Tyre, Baal Shamem, Eshmun, Astarte, and Melkart are found. Pitbulls:
Pit bull is the common name for a type of dog. Formal dog breeds often considered of the pit bull type include the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier and American Pit Bull Terrier. The American Bulldog, Bull Terrier (Miniature) and Bull Terrier are also sometimes included.

These dogs repeatedly make headlines for attacking people. Their aggressive temperament matched with their strength historically saw them bred as fighting dogs from cross breeding bull-baiting dogs (used to hold the faces and heads of larger animals such as bulls) and terriers. Pit bulls have been known to attack children, the elderly, their owners – anyone that happens to be in their path. If the dog feels provoked or startled, it has been known to bite. Many owners swear that their pet would never attack them; however, this breed has led to more human fatalities than any other. DogsBite.org, a US-based pro-breed specific legislation advocacy group that focuses on pit bulls blamed pit bull breeds for 62 percent of the 325 people killed by dog attacks surveyed in media reports from 2005 to 2014. For this reason, some cities and towns have banned the breed. You also may face rising insurance rates or cancellation of your policy, difficulty renting, and the watchful eye of neighbors and passersby.

The heat of such reports has forged a frightening image of the pit bull. But pit bull advocates and some experts say the dogs get a bad rap. They say the dogs are not inherently aggressive, but in many cases suffer at the hands of irresponsible owners drawn to the dog's macho image who encourage aggression for fighting and protection.

Indeed, the ASPCA web site gives the breed an endorsement that could fit a golden retriever. It says, “A well-socialized and well-trained pit bull is one of the most delightful, intelligent, and gentle dogs imaginable.”

In general, pit bulls aren’t aggressive with people but are “less tolerant” of other dogs than many other breeds, says Pamela Reid, PhD, vice president of the ASPCA’s Animal Behavior Center in New York.

Planet Align:
In the mid-1990s, esoteric author John Major Jenkins asserted that the ancient Maya intended to tie the end of their calendar to the winter solstice in 2012, which falls on December 21. This date was in line with an idea he terms the galactic alignment or planetary alignment.

There are two different ways that the term alignment is used referring to the planets in our Solar System. The first way is if you were standing on the Sun, all the planets would appear to be lined up in a row. The other kind of alignment is if all the planets follow a straight line. In other words, it is as if a straight line can be drawn through the center of all the planets.

Jenkins suggests that the Maya based their calendar on observations of the Great Rift, a band of dark dust clouds in the Milky Way, which the Maya called the Xibalba be or "Black Road." According to the hypothesis, the Sun precisely aligns with this intersection point at the winter solstice of 2012. Jenkins claimed that the classical Mayans anticipated this conjunction and celebrated it as the harbinger of a profound spiritual transition for mankind. Jenkins attributes the insights of ancient Maya shamans about the galactic center to their use of psilocybin mushrooms, psychoactive toads, and other psychedelics.

NASA's Ask an Astrobiologist Web site, for example, has received thousands of questions regarding the 2012 planetary alignment—some of them disturbing, according to David Morrison, a senior scientist with the NASA Astrobiology Institute.

"A lot of [the submitters] are people who are genuinely frightened," said Morrison, who thinks movie marketers, authors, and others out to make a buck are feeding some of the fears.

"I've had two teenagers who were considering killing themselves, because they didn't want to be around when the world ends," he said. "Two women in the last two weeks said they were contemplating killing their children and themselves so they wouldn't have to suffer through the end of the world."

According to scientists, there will be no planetary alignment in 2012. Many of the planets will align in a rather straight line in 2010. On June 13, 2010, Uranus, Jupiter, and Mercury will be lined up on one side of the Sun while Venus, Mars, and Saturn will be lined up on the other side. Earth will be perpendicular to the Sun at this time.

Plasma Bolt:
When discussing weapons in science fiction, a plasma weapon is a type of ray gun that fires a stream, bolt(s), pulse or toroid of plasma (i.e. very hot, very energetic excited matter). The primary damage mechanism of these fictional weapons is usually thermal transfer; it typically causes serious burns, and often immediate death of living creatures, and melts or evaporates other materials.

Fictional plasma weapons are often visually analogous to real-life plasma torches that cut into materials for industrial use purposes; however, said torches currently only produce a plasma jet of several inches at most.

Play Actor:
A play actor is someone who plays a role in a dramatic performance. Many occultists, like Aleister Crowley, taught that acting was the fastest way to come into contact with a demonic entity. In his book "Magick in Theory and Practice", Crowley explains the best way to become possessed. According to Crowley: "There are three main methods for invoking any deity...The "Third Method is the Dramatic," perhaps the most attractive of all; certainly it is so to the artist's temperament, for it appeals to his imagination through his aesthetic sense." He also states: "In the third, identity is attained by sympathy. It is very difficult for the ordinary man to lose himself completely in the subject of a play or of a novel; but for those who can do so, this method is unquestionably the best." Aleister Crowley taught one of the best ways to be demon possessed was through acting.

Playing God refers to someone supposedly taking on the role of God for human purposes. Alleged acts of playing God may include, for example, deciding who is to live or die, in a situation where not everyone can be saved.

Pokemon Go:
Pokemon Go is a free-to-play, location-based augmented reality game developed by Niantic for iOS and Android devices. It was initially released in selected countries in July 2016. In the game, players use a mobile device's GPS capability to locate, capture, battle, and train virtual creatures, called Pokémon, who appear on the screen as if they were in the same real-world location as the player.

The app was criticized for using locations such as cemeteries and memorials as sites to catch Pokémon, including the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, Arlington National Cemetery, the ANZAC War Memorial, and Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. Niantic later removed content from sensitive areas such as the Hiroshima Memorial and Holocaust Museum.

Pokemon Go has also been criticized for game related accidents it has caused. A driver slammed into a Baltimore cop while playing the game. It was also reported that two men fell off of a cliff while playing. There have been reports of numerous accidents, robberies, etc. involving the game.

Pope Dragon:
Pope Gregory XIII, (born Ugo Boncompagni 1572 - 1585 A.D.), wore the winged serpent or dragon as his symbol on his heraldic shield. The dragon is a figure from his family's coat of arms. The dragon symbol stands for valiant defender of treasure; valor and protection.

His horrible history:
Following the St. Bartholomew's Day massacre of French Huguenots (Protestants) in Paris plotted by Catherine de Medicis and carried out by Roman Catholic nobles and other citizens in 1572, the severed head of Coligny (who was the Huguenot leader in the French Wars of Religion) was apparently dispatched to the Pope Gregory XIII, though it got no further than Lyons, and the Pope sent the king a Golden Rose. He ordered a Te Deum to be sung as a special thanksgiving (a practice continued for many years after) and had a medal struck with the motto Ugonottorum strages 1572 showing an angel bearing a cross and sword next to slaughtered Protestants.

A second pope, Paolo V (born Camillo Borghese 1605-1621) wore a winged dragon on his heraldic shield along with an eagle. The coat of arms belonged to the House of Borghese. Borghese is the surname of a family of Italian noble and papal background. The head of the family, Marcantonio I, moved to Rome in the 16th century and there, following the election (1605) of his son Camillo Borghese as Pope Paul V who was an unabashed nepotist, they rose in power and wealth.

Pork Soap:
"Their carcass shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you" (Lev. 11:8).

Many of the soaps that we use to "CLEAN" ourselves with are made from "UNCLEAN" animals. Given the fact that our skin is porous, much of what we touch with our skin is also getting absorbed into our system. Lard oil is used for the manufacture of soap. Prior to the 1960s, the greatest utilization of grease had been in soap making. During the mid-twentieth century, soap production declined significantly, due primarily to the increased use of phosphate-based detergent powders and liquids. Domestic use of animal fats in soap has also been diluted by use of plant lipid sources. This development of detergents and other cleaning agents and replacement by vegetable fats posed serious threats to the market for the major products of the rendering industry. New markets were researched and developed in the feed industry, in the export market, and in application of fatty acids to industrial uses. The loss of a portion of the soap market stimulated the renderers to expand markets and diversify the products of the industry.

Modern soap making occurs in continuous processing systems which utilize fatty acids stripped from raw fats. Soap making originated and remained a batch process involving more time and less technology until the middle of this century.

Fatty acids are obtained from animal fats through a process referred to as splitting and are used in ever increasing quantities in the manufacture of scores of products.

Potatoes:
According to the Bible: "And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten (edible), and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them" (Gen. 6:21). Notice that God instructed Noah to gather "what was edible." Some plants, fruits and vegetables are poisonous. God did not give man poisonous foods to eat.

Potatoes contain toxic compounds known as glycoalkaloids, of which the most prevalent are solanine and chaconine. The US National Toxicology Program suggests that the average American consumes at most 12.5 mg/day of solanine from potatoes (the toxic dose is actually several times this, depending on body weight). This poison affects the nervous system causing weakness and confusion. Glycoalkaloids may cause headaches, diarrhea, and cramps and in severe cases coma and death; however, poisoning from potatoes occurs very rarely.

These compounds, which protect the plant from its predators, are generally concentrated in its leaves, stems, sprouts, and fruits. Exposure to light, physical damage and age increase glycoalkaloid content within the tuber; the highest concentrations occur just underneath the skin. Cooking at high temperatures (over 170 °C or 340 °F) partly destroys these. However, research suggests boiled potatoes can raise blood glucose. Average blood glucose levels are significantly higher 30 minutes after eating a hot potato meal than after a cool potato meal, and remains so for three hours. It is possible that cooling cooked foods causes a shift in the structure of their starches that changes the rate at which glucose is absorbed. Harvard Medical School researchers released a long-term study that found a connection between potato consumption and the increased risk of developing Type II diabetes. Potatoes spike blood sugar, raise bad triglycerides, and depress good-type HDL cholesterol, boosting the risk of heart attack especially in people with insulin resistance.

Practice Law:

A lawyer is a person who studies or practices law; an attorney or a counselor. Many lawyers work to defraud the system and engage in unethical practice, let the bad guys go free and charge astronomical fees.

Lawyers often represent persons who they know are guilty, but they believe it is not their job to determine whether a defendant is guilty or innocent. That it is a matter left for the judge or jury to decide. They say their job is to defend, not to do justice or impose their own morality. They believe their job is to defend their client, no matter how horrific the crime or evil the defendant.  Their function is to use whatever tools are available under the law to obtain an acquittal, dismissal or the best possible outcome, whether based upon fact or law, whether capitalizing on a tactical error by the prosecution or advantage offered the defense. Factual guilt plays no role whatsoever in their duty to zealously defend their client.

Timothy S. Coyne, defense attorney, says, "How can I NOT defend someone, especially when they are guilty?" The U.S. constitution guarantees everyone with a criminal offense certain rights, such as the right not to incriminate oneself, the right to a trial by jury, the right to be represented by an attorney, and the right to have the government prove one's guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

Prank Caller:
A prank call (also known as crank call and phony call) is a form of practical joke committed over the telephone. Prominent people have fallen victim to prank callers, as for example Queen Elizabeth II, who was fooled by Canadian DJ Pierre Brassard posing as Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chrétien, asking her to record a speech in support of Canadian unity ahead of the 1995 Quebec referendum. Two other particularly famous examples of prank calls were made by the Miami-based radio station Radio El Zol. In one, they telephoned Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez and spoke to him, pretending to be Cuban president Fidel Castro. They later reversed the prank, calling Castro and pretending to be Chávez. Castro began swearing at the pranksters live on air after they revealed themselves.

Prank calls range from annoying hang-ups to false calls to emergency services or bomb threats. Prank calls that waste the time of emergency services are a criminal offence in most countries and is considered telephone harassment in the US.

Pre-Adamites:
Pre-Adamite hypothesis or Preadamism is the religious belief that people existed before Adam, the first man being named in the Bible. This belief has a long history, probably having its origins in early pagan responses to Abrahamic claims regarding the origins of the man.

Pregnancies:
In the Book of Genesis, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was a tree in the middle of the Garden of Eden (Gen. 2:9) from which God directly forbade Adam (Eve having not yet been created) to eat (Gen. 2:17). A serpent persuades Eve to eat fruit from the forbidden tree (Gen. 3:1-6). Because Adam and Eve disobeyed God, he punished them.

For Eve, the pain of childbirth would be a recurring reminder of her sin: "Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children" (Gen. 3:16). In addition to that, she would experience an insatiable yearning for her husband will bring on more pregnancies and births (Gen. 3:16).

The descendents of Adam and Eve were also punished for their sin. According to the Bible, every woman is punished by Eve's sin with pain, sorrow, toil, trouble during childbirth. Successive generations down to the present time suffer from original sin derived from Adam and Eve's sinful disobedience.

Preschool:
The pressure to send children to preschool starts almost as soon as they turn two. Should children go to preschool? For many children and parents, one of the most significant experiences of preschool is being apart from each other. Studies have found, young children who experience separation from a parent are at increased risk for learning problems as they enter kindergarten. Children who have been separated from a parent score significantly worse than children with intact families in testing designed to measure key early learning issues. On average, the earlier a child enters a preschool center, the slower his or her pace of social development, while cognitive skills in pre-reading and math are stronger when children first enter a preschool program between the ages of two and three. Due to standardized testing in elementary schools, as well as concerned parents who think learning the alphabet by age four will pave their child's way to the Ivy League, has pushed academics into preschools. Some schools hand out worksheets in class and have toddlers memorizing letters and numbers. Education experts say overemphasizing academics can actually hamper a child's emotional and social development.

The Zigler Center published a study in 2006 that that pre-K students are expelled at a rate more than three times that of children in the K-12 grades. There has been a sharp rise since the 1970's in the number of children with behavioral problems. "In the past, in a school of 150 kids, you might have one or two kids with behavior problems, but now it may be up to 10 percent of the kids," said Susan Glaser, an educational psychologist and preschool director in Cleveland. "In the past, many of these children weren't sent to school," she said, "because their parents sensed that they weren't ready. But now there's much more day care. Children start younger and stay longer hours."

Providence:
Providence is a new religious movement founded by convicted rapist Jung Myung Seok and self-proclaimed messiah. Jung believes he has come to finish the incomplete message and mission of Jesus Christ, asserting that he is the Messiah and has the responsibility to save all mankind. Jung claims that the Christian doctrine of resurrection is false but that people can be saved through him. According to Jung, sin originated in Eve's intercourse with Satan, but can be defeated through intercourse with him.

It is widely referred to by the media as a cult, and most of its publicity comes from reports related to its founder's sexual abuses against its female followers. In 2009, Seok was sentenced to 10 years in prison for raping and abusing his female followers.

Other names for the religion include Jesus Morning Star (JMS)(most known name in South Korea), Christian Gospel Mission (CGM, official name in South Korea), Setsuri(means 'providence' in Japanese), International Christian Association (ICA), Morning Star Church, The Bright Moon Church, Ae-chun Church, Young-dong Church, Nak-seong-dae Church, and Seoul Church.

Public Sex:
Sexual acts in public or semi-public places. For many people, public sex involves a "quickie", or sex performed in a short amount of time. However, some situations allow for more lengthy intercourse.

Punishes:
The practice of imposing something unpleasant or aversive on a person or animal, usually in response to disobedience, defiance, or behavior deemed morally wrong by individual, governmental, or religious principles. Does a man have the right to punish other men when they do something wrong? According to the Bible: "For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again" (Matt 7:2).

A woman, who had been caught in the act of adultery, was brought to Jesus Christ by the scribes and Pharisees as a test to see if the Messiah was a liberal in matters of the Law of God. In response to their deceitful query, He didn't condemn the woman, not because He was a liberal, not because He condoned her sin, but because the men who brought the woman to Him were Hypocrites. "So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her" (John 8:7).

Jesus was the only person there that day who was free of sin, the only one who had the right to "cast the first stone." He didn't stone her (or her accusers), but instead forgave her and told her to "sin no more." Otherwise, the day is coming when she, if she didn't thereafter repent, won't be stoned, but will be burned - along with the hypocrites who brought her to Him that day

In terms of the modern day penal system, incarceration is often used in felony cases. Incarceration is used to incapacitate a criminal. Incapacitation refers to the act of making an individual “incapable” of committing a crime-historically by execution or banishment, and in more modern times by execution or lengthy periods of incarceration. Most instances of incapacitation involve offenders who have committed repeated crimes (multiple recidivists) under what are known as habitual offender statutes, which permit longer-than-normal sentences for a given offense. Incapacitation is also utilized, for example, in cases involving offenders who are deemed dangerous (such as those guilty of murder) and likely to commit grave and violent crimes unless restrained. The purpose of imprisoning offenders under this criterion is not punishment, but protection of the public.

Putrefy:

To God, the world is already dead, so He says, "Love not the world, for it is passing away" (1John 2:15-17). "Passing away" is a euphemism of dying. To God, the world is a putrefying corpse, but it has not yet been buried. It is a system in the process of self-destructing as a result of the course of vanity and meaningless self-centeredness, and it cannot be any other way because men and demons are operating it.
