Cabo San Lucas:
The bay of Cabo San Lucas, at the southernmost tip of Baja, was once a base for pirate vessels waiting to pounce on Spanish treasure ships. Even fifteen years ago, it was little more than a fishing and canning village occasionally visited by adventurous sports fishermen. Since then, Cabo San Lucas (called the Corridor), has earned a well-earned reputation for rowdy, uninhibited nightlife, but the after-dark action is by no means restricted to the bars, clubs, and cantinas that crowd downtown San Lucas. Go to Cabo San Lucas expecting to toss your inhibitions to the wind – everyone else does. Where else do clubs round up conga lines so that waiters can pour tequila down dancers’ throats? Cabo San Lucas is a destination resort for sex tourism.

Calendar Wheel:
The Aztec calendar consisted of two wheels or circles. One wheel had the 13 day week, and the other had 20 symbols. The 20 symbols were called day signs and they each represented a god and had certain characteristics. These symbols are not the same as the symbols and gods for the 20 weeks of the year. Throughout the 260-day year, the days would cycle through both the 13 days and 20 day signs. The original first day and first day sign would line up again at the end of the year.
The circular stone structure at Nabta in Egypt, is a calendar wheel or calendar circle. Astrophysicist Thomas G. Brophy suggests the hypothesis that the southerly line of three stones inside the calendar represented the three stars of Orion’s Belt and the other three stones inside the calendar circle represented the shoulders and head stars of Orion as they appeared in the sky. These correspondences were for two dates—circa 4,800 BC and at precessional opposition—representing how the sky "moves" long term. Brophy proposes that the circle was constructed and used circa the later date, and the dual date representation was a conceptual representation of the motion of the sky over a precession cycle.
California Bat:
Over the last 20 years, approximately 80 percent of the country's bat population has been lost. Some of the main reasons are habitat destruction and vandalism by people. Because bats have long been feared as a source of danger and disease, people often think little about destroying their colonies when they are discovered. The California bat is endangered and faces extinction.
Bats are the only major predator of night-flying insects. Bat prey includes lacewings, cockroaches, gnats, and mosquitoes as their major food source. A single Big brown bat can eat between 3,000 and 7,000 mosquitoes in a night, with large populations of bats consuming thousands of tons of potentially harmful mosquitoes. Mosquitoes transmit diseases. Infected mosquitoes spread diseases that can be serious, life-altering, and even fatal.
Called Lucifer:
Satan is generally called "Lucifer", although the name is not applied to him in the New Testament. The use of the name "Lucifer" in reference to a fallen angel stems from an interpretation of Isaiah 14:3-20, a passage that speaks of a particular Babylonian King, to whom it gives the title of "Day Star", "Morning Star" (in Latin, Lucifer), as fallen or destined to fall from the heavens or sky.
Camps of Death:
At the beginning of the Second World War, concentration camps were places where the enemies of the Nazis were enslaved, starved, tortured and killed. Millions of prisoners died in the concentration camps through mistreatment, disease, starvation, overwork or were executed as unfit for labor. More than six million Jews died in them, usually in gas chambers, although many were killed in mass shootings and by other means.
Cancer Water:
According to the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is required to establish standards on the concentrations of certain contaminants allowed in public drinking water supplies.
Presently, the EPA regulates more than 40 different contaminants that are known or suspected to cause cancer. These contaminants are called carcinogens, and it is assumed that no concentration in drinking water is safe, but it also must decide what level of risk is acceptable for regulation.
Their presence in drinking water can be attributed to a variety of chemical sources and/or natural conditions.
Cannabis Wax:
Cannabis, also known as marijuana among other names, is a preparation of the Cannabis plant intended for use as a psychoactive drug or medicine. Over the past couple of years, a new form of marijuana has appeared on the market called marijuana “wax”, and it is quite possibly the highest you could ever get from weed. It’s otherwise known as BHO, which stands for Butane hash oil.
It gets its names from the ways it is prepared and the way it looks. The substance looks like a thick, oily substance or a little like honey. Butane is used in the process of making it which is why it is otherwise known as BHO.
Buds of marijuana are packed really tightly into a tube and then blasted with butane, which is a highly flammable liquid. The process of doing this extracts the THC from the marijuana in a really concentrated form. What comes out is a thick, hard, wax-like substance that is highly hallucinogenic.

Carbon Science:
Carbon Sciences is developing a technology to recycle carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions into gasoline and other fuels. The company’s current approach is an enzyme-based process used to transform CO2 into low-level fuels, such as methanol.
Castaneda Book:
Carlos Castaneda wrote a series of books that describe his purported training in traditional Mesoamerican shamanism, starting with The Teachings of Don Juan in 1968. In his books, Castaneda narrated in first person what he claimed were his experiences under the tutelage of a Yaqui shaman named don Juan Matus whom he met in 1960. Castaneda wrote that he was identified by don Juan Matus as having the energetic configuration of a "nagual", who, if the spirit chose, could become a leader of a party of seers. Castaneda has written 12 books that have sold more than 8 million copies in 17 languages. These books are:
The Teachings of Don Juan
A Separate Reality
Journey to Ixtlan
Tales of Power
The Second Ring of Power
The Eagle's Gift
The Fire From Within
The Power of Silence
The Art of Dreaming
Magical Passes
The Active Side of Infinity
The Wheel of Time
Catholic Dogma:
According to Catholicism, the word dogma signifies, in the writings of the ancient classical authors, sometimes, an opinion (see opinions) or that which seems true to a person; sometimes, the philosophical doctrines or tenets, and especially the distinctive philosophical doctrines, of a particular school of philosophers (cf. Cic. Ac., ii, 9), and sometimes, a public decree or ordinance, as dogma poieisthai.
A dogma is understood to be a truth appertaining to faith or morals, revealed by God, transmitted from the Apostles in the Scriptures or by tradition, and proposed by the Church for the acceptance of the faithful.

Catholic Idol:
Many Catholics sometimes bow or kneel in front of statues of Jesus and the saints. According to Catholics many confuse the legitimate veneration of a sacred image with the sin of idolatry. “The images of Christ and the Virgin Mother of God, and of the other saints, are to be had and to be kept, especially in Churches, and due honor and veneration are to be given them.” Council of Trent, 25th sess. (1563).
The bible prohibits against having images for religious purposes and bowing down before them. For example: “Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image.. to bow down unto it.... Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an abomination unto the Lord” (Leviticus 26:1; Deuteronomy 27:15).
Idolatry is described by God as an abomination ( Ezek.16:36), no matter who makes them or is worshipping them. “Cursed is any man who makes any graven image or molten image it is an abomination to the Lord” (Lev. 26:1, Deut.27:15). While Catholics accept this practice of bowing in front of statues of Mary or saints God does not accept it, He forbids it.
The word idol has two main meanings: A drawing, statue, or other representation of an item in heaven or earth, which is used for worship.
Or
Anything in life that takes a position of priority over one's relationship with God.
Catholic Liar:
The Catholics teach that the rosary should be performed every day. The rosary is part of the Catholic veneration of Mary. The word "rosary" isn't even found in the Bible. Where did God tell us to perform a rosary? The counting of prayers is a pagan practice and is expressly condemned by Christ (Matt. 6:5-13). The rosary should NEVER be performed by anyone, it is sinful. Jesus condemned chants and recited prayers...
"But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking" (Matt. 6:7).
As a religious instrument the rosary seems to be chiefly used to count the repetition of set phrases, whereby the devotee stores up merit for himself. If these repetitions are performed at temples, the greater the merit of the votary. The rosary is also used as a means of counting prostrations and prayers. The devotee will prostrate himself and strike the ground with his forehead, at the same time muttering a formula. At the end of each prostration and repetition a bead is moved along the rosary string which hangs round his neck.
The Buddhist rosaries of Korea have 110 beads, though, according to the classics, the number is 108, the two extra beads being large ones—one at the beginning or head of the rosary usually containing a swastika, the other dividing the rosary into two parts. Each of these beads is dedicated to a deity. Every bead on the string has its own special name. The devotee, when using the rosary, repeats the "Hail thou jewel in the Lotus!" (Om mani padme Hum) See Om Prayer, holding each bead till he has counted a certain number. On laying the rosary aside he repeats the following sentences: "Oh! the thousand myriad miles of emptiness, the place which is in the midst of the tens of hundred myriad miles of emptiness, the place which is in the midst of the tens of hundred myriads of emptiness, eternal desert where the true Buddha exists. There is eternal existence with Tranquil Peace."
The recital of the rosary is also done for "prayers of request" to a deity who has the power of acceding to or refusing the petitions of the devotee. It involves a special manipulation of the rosary, which is held by both hands, the petitioner raising it very reverently and slowly to the forehead or to the chin as the prayers of request are repeated.
The rosary used by followers of Islam generally consists of 99 beads with a terminal bead called the imam, "leader". Its chief use is for counting the recital of the 99 names, or attributes, of God, the imam being sometimes used for the essential name, Allah. This rosary is divided into three parts, 33 beads in each, by beads of another material or shape, or by tassels which are often made of gold thread or of bright coloured silks. According to some authorities, there is another variety of the rosary, not often used, which has 101 beads to correspond with the 101 names of the Prophet. A smaller rosary of 33 beads is very commonly used, and the devotee will go round this three times to get the full repetition of the 99 names. In Persia and India the Muhammadan rosary is called tasbih, in Egypt from a verb meaning "to praise", or "to exalt".
The introduction of the rosary among Catholics has been attributed to various people, among them being St. Aybert de Crespin, Peter the Hermit, and St. Dominic. The Roman Breviary says of the last-named that he was admonished by the Blessed Virgin to preach the rosary as a special remedy against heresy and sin. There has been a fairly widely accepted theory that the rosary was introduced into Europe at the time of the Crusades, having been imitated from Muhammadans. But later research seems to show that, though it is possible that such a means of counting prayers may have become more popular at this period, an earlier date should be assigned for its use in Western Europe. It is stated by William of Malmesbury that the Lady Godiva of Coventry, wife of Count Leofric, bequeathed to the monastery which she founded a circlet of gems which she had threaded on a string, in order that by fingering them one by one as she successively recited her prayers she might not fall short of the exact number. Lady Godiva died before 1070, so that some mnemonic device seems to have been in use prior to the preaching of the Crusades. The case of the Egyptian abbot Paul, who died in 341, is related by Sozomen (c. 400-450) in his Ecclesiastical History, where it is stated that the saint daily recited 300 prayers, keeping count by means of pebbles gathered in his cloak, dropping one of them at the end of each prayer. Here is seen a much earlier and more primitive system of record-keeping, which suggests that the rosary had evolved independently in some centres, and had not been taken over from others, where presumably it was already in a fairly developed form.
Regardless of the rosaries origins, no one can be saved by reciting the rosary. Salvation is only possible through Jesus Christ.
The Catholic Church also teaches that Mary just like Jesus was born without sin. According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Mary was "redeemed in a more exalted fashion, by reason of the merits of her Son" (CCC 492). But this is a direct contradiction to the Bible. The Bible says "all have sinned" (Rom. 3:23). Mary was a sinner and needed a Savior. Mary said her "spirit rejoices in God my Savior" (Luke 1:47), and only a sinner needs a Savior. The Catholic Church further claims that Mary, was a lifelong virgin. Yet the Bible says this is simply not true, for Mary was a virgin until Jesus was born, and then had normal sexual relations with her husband Joseph: "The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Emmanuel, which being interpreted means, God with us. When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. But he had no union with her "until" she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus" (Matt.1:23-25).
The Catholic Church is responsible for many other offenses against God. Catholics are NOT Christians. The doctrine they preach conflicts with true Christian teachings.
Cattle Flesh:
Cattle flesh is any edible part of the striated muscle of any bovine animal such as a cow, pig or sheep. Cattle diseases are a concern for nearly every beef and dairy producer. Bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE), commonly known as mad-cow disease (MCD) is a fatal, neurodegenerative disease in cattle that causes a spongy degeneration in the brain and spinal cord. A British inquiry into BSE concluded that the epidemic was caused by cattle, which are normally herbivores, being fed the remains of other cattle in the form of meat and bone meal (MBM), with an infectious agent. Once cattle became infected, the BSE agent was recycled in the cattle food chain through the feeding of rendered material from slaughtered animals to other cattle. Although sheep were never fed as much meat and bone meal as cattle, it was common to give them high-protein rations before lambing and during the winter.
Pigs are extremely filthy animals. They will eat garbage, feces, and even decaying flesh. All that is eaten usually becomes part of the pig's own flesh. Aside from the diseases routinely carried by swine, pork is also a very fatty meat. The toxins in pork are held especially in the fat, which is not isolated from the meat as can be the case in lean beef, but rather, it is dispersed throughout the meat.
Causes A War:
What causes war? Stephen Van Evera in his book Causes of War, frames five conditions that increase the risk of interstate war: false optimism about the likely outcome of a war, a first-strike advantage, fluctuation in the relative power of states, circumstances that allow nations to parlay one conquest into another, and circumstances that make conquest easy.
CDC Flu Shot:
The influenza vaccine is an annual vaccine that is said to protect people against the highly variable influenza virus. Each injected seasonal influenza vaccine contains three influenza viruses-one A (H3N2) virus, one regular seasonal A (H1N1) virus (not the 2009 H1N1 virus), and one B virus. See Fluvirin, and Vaccination

Chametz Clean:
Chametz are leavened foods that are forbidden on Passover. The first of God’s seven annual festivals is the Passover (Leviticus 23:5). Passover falls in early spring in the Holy Land and is a reminder of how God spared His people from death in Egypt. To rescue His people from slavery, God took the lives of all the firstborn Egyptian males (Exodus 12:7, 26-29) but passed over the Israelites’ homes that had the blood of a sacrificed lamb on their door frames.
The blood of the Passover lamb foreshadowed the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, which passes over the sins of people who repent in order to spare them from eternal death. The New Testament makes clear that Christ IS our Passover – 1 Cor 5:7-8. 'Christ our Passover Lamb had been sacrificed. Therefore let us keep the festival with the bread of sincerity and truth." (compare Exodus 12:21 with 1 Corinthians 5:7). In observing His last Passover with His disciples, Jesus explained that the symbols of bread and wine represent His body and blood, offered by Him for the forgiveness (or passing over) of our sins and the death penalty our sins have earned for us (Matthew 26:26-28; Mark 14:22-24).
Jews continue to observe Passover because Jews do NOT believe in Jesus! Jews do Not accept Jesus as the messiah. They do NOT believe he fulfilled messianic prophecies. They do Not believe he embodied the personal qualities of the messiah. They believe Biblical verses "referring" to Jesus are mistranslated.
According to Jewish law, Jews may not own, eat or benefit from chametz during Passover. This law appears several times in the Torah; the punishment for eating chametz on Passover is the divine punishment of kareth ("spiritual excision"), one of the severest levels of punishment in Judaism. For non-Jews, this punishment would be understood as the equivalent of eternal damnation.
Chametz is just about anything made from these grains—other than Passover matzah, which is carefully controlled to avoid leavening—is to be considered chametz. This includes any food product made from wheat, barley, rye, oats or spelt that has come into contact with water and been allowed to ferment and "rise.”
Since no leavened bread may be eaten during all seven days of Passover, special efforts are made to remove leaven entirely from homes. This means every room of the house is cleaned so that all "chametz," or leavened products, are removed.
Change in America:
"Change in America doesn't start from the top down. It starts from the bottom up." ~ President Barack Obama
Slogans, sayings and maxims are an important part of political campaigns throughout the world. The slogan of Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign was "change we can believe in." This slogan was used during the Campaign of 2008, and is also the title of a book written by Obama and published in 2008 that outlines his policy agenda.
Change of Heart:
A change of heart is a change of one's opinion, belief or decision. Erroneous instruction in biblical teachings, peer pressure and media influence has caused some professed Christians to renounce Christianity. Those who have renounced their Christianity have neglected further investigation into the meaning of the Scriptures, and as a result have united with anti-christians. Since 2009, atheists and agnostics have held a few ceremonies in the United States and Britain to publicly “de-baptize” those who no longer are or want to be known as a follower of Christ. Here’s an example from Religion News Service. It opens with Jennifer Gray, a 32-year-old who had been baptized as a child: A robed “priest” used a hairdryer marked “reason” in an apparent bid to blow away the waters of baptism once and for all. Several dozen participants then fed on a “de-sacrament” (crackers with peanut butter) and received certificates assuring they had “freely renounced a previous mistake, and accepted Reason over Superstition.”
Channellers:
Mediumship is the practice of certain people—known as mediums—to purportedly mediate communication between spirits of the dead and other human beings.
Attempts to contact the dead date back to early human history, with mediumship gaining in popularity during the 19th century. Investigations during this period revealed widespread fraud—with some practitioners employing techniques used by stage magicians—and the practice started to lose credibility.
Channeling can be seen as the modern form of the old mediumship, where the "channel" (or channeller) allegedly receives messages from "teaching-spirit", an "Ascended Master", from God, or from an angelic entity, but essentially through the filter of his own waking consciousness (or "Higher Self").

Chemical Peels:
Chemical peel uses a chemical solution to improve and smooth the texture of the facial skin by removing its damaged outer layers. Phenol, trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and alphahydroxy acids (AHAs) are used for this purpose.
Chemical Vaccine:
Chemicals are added to vaccines to inactivate a virus or bacteria and stabilize the vaccine, helping to preserve the vaccine and prevent it from losing its potency over time. Chemicals commonly used in the production of vaccines include a suspending fluid (sterile water, saline, or fluids containing protein); preservatives and stabilizers (for example, albumin, phenols, and glycine); and adjuvants or enhancers that help improve the vaccine's effectiveness.
Chemical Wheat:
Some of the main chemicals (insecticides, herbicides and fungicides) used on commercial wheat crops are disulfoton (Di-syston), methyl parathion, chlorpyrifos, dimethoate, diamba and glyphosate. Even before they are planted in the ground, wheat seeds receive an application of fungicides and insecticides. Fungicides are used to control diseases of seeds and seedlings; insecticides are used to control insect pests, killing them as they feed on the seed or emerging seedling. Chemical offenses don’t stop after the growing process. The long storage of grains makes them vulnerable to a number of critters. Before commercial grain is even stored, the collection bins are sprayed with insecticide, inside and out. More chemicals are added while the bin is filled. These so-called “protectants” are then added to the upper surface of the grain as well as four inches deep into the grain to protect against damage from moths and other insects entering from the top of the bin. The list of various chemicals used includes chlorpyrifos-methyl, diatomaceous earth, bacillus thuringiensis, cy-fluthrin, malathion and pyrethrins.
Also farmers apply hormone-like substances or “plant growth regulators” that affect wheat characteristics, such as time of germination and strength of stalk. These hormones are either “natural,” that is, extracted from other plants, or synthetic. Cycocel is a synthetic hormone that is commonly applied to wheat.
Moreover, research is being conducted on how to manipulate the naturally occurring hormones in wheat and other grains to achieve “desirable” changes, such as regulated germination and an increased ability to survive in cold weather.
Modern wheat is nothing like the grain your mother or grandmother consumed. Today, wheat barely resembles its original form, thanks to extensive genetic manipulations of the 1960s and '70s to increase yields. "You cannot change the basic characteristics of a plant without changing its genetics, biochemistry, and its effects on humans who consume it," Dr. Davis notes.
In his book, Dr. Davis makes the case that modern-day wheat is triggering all sorts of health problems, everything from digestive diseases like celiac and inflammatory bowel disease to acid reflux, obesity, asthma, and skin disorders. "If there is a food that yields extravagant, extraordinary, and unexpected benefits when avoided, it is bread," says Dr. Davis. "And I don't mean white bread; I mean all bread: white, whole wheat, whole grain, sprouted, organic, French, Italian, fresh, day-old...all of it." Try eliminating bread from your diet for a few weeks to see if you note health improvements.
Chewy Candy:
Most chewy candies are pure sugar, so there isn’t really a nutritional advantage to choosing one variety over the next.
Child Lures:
Child molesters and abductors have many methods to lure a child. The most common 16 child lures are:
Affection Lure Most child abuse happens at the hand of someone the child knows and trusts. Pedophiles exploit that trust to take advantage of tensions in the child or teen’s family, like divorce, alcoholism or neglect.
Pet Lure
Children love animals. Many child predators will ask children to help look for their lost puppy or kitty. Parents must warn their children of this lure and let the kids no there is no lost animal.
Assistance Lure
Using an assistance lure predators will ask children for help with directions or help carrying something. Teach your children that adults usually ask adults for help, not children. The best defense against the assistance lure is for kids to pretend they do not hear the person and quickly leave the area.
Authority Lure
Pedophiles in a power position, coach, clergy, scout leader, relative, etc. take advantage of their positions. Make sure your children know it is illegal for adults to touch them in their bathing suit zone.
Bribery Lure
Pedophiles will use gifts, like candy, toys, electronics, drugs, money, to get a child to willingly go with them, or they will use the gifts as a reward to keep the abuse secret or to keep the child tolerating the abuse.
Emergency Lure
Predators will fake a crisis to trick kids and teens into willingly going with them. For example, they will tell the child, ‘Your father has been hurt and is in the hospital. I’ve been sent to take you to him.’
Fun and Games Lure
Pedophiles will, at times, create games using restraints, such as handcuffs, ropes, duct tape, which can keep a child from protecting themselves or escaping their captor.
Hero Lure
Molesters will exploit a child by making them believe something bad will happen to someone they see as a hero, a parent, a teacher, coach, relative or celebrity. Children may endure repeated abuse to keep a hero out of trouble, or maintain a friendship.
Name Recognition Lure
Marking a child’s clothing, backpacks and other belongings can be dangerous. Pedophiles can read the nametag and call out the child’s name, creating a false sense of familiarly.
Companion/Playmate Lure
Child molesters often use their home as a lure, decorating it with party supplies, toys, sporting goods, etc. Many times, they will create an environment of anything goes, which can be appealing to children.
Fame and Ego Lure
Sex offenders will offer a child or teen an audition or private tryout to get them to keep the abuse secret.
Online and Computer Lure
Online predators lure children through chat rooms, emails and social websites. Through these avenues, a pedophile can learn a child’s personal information and arrange a private meeting. Make sure you kids know to never post their personal information online. Like where they live, go to school or work.
Threats and Weapons Lure
Pedophiles may use violence and intimidation to force children and teens to cooperate with the abuse, or stay silent about the abuse. They’ll use an ‘it’s my word against yours’ approach.
Job Lure
The job lure is a danger to older teens, even college students. The young adults are lured by an offer of a high-paying, interesting job. The sex offender will typically set up fake interview in secluded places to abuse or abduct their subject. These fake jobs are typically advertised with only a P.O. Box.
Pornography Lure
Child predators often use pornography to set the stage for abuse. Adolescents are often curious about sex and it is not difficult to hold their attention with pornographic material.
Drug Lure
Sex offenders will at times use drugs and alcohol to lure and incapacitate a child into abuse.
It is important that you teach your children about each of these lures, not just one or two. Pedophiles, child abductors and molesters can use more than one of the lures at a time to get a child to comply with abuse and keep the abuse secret.
Chile Quakes:
Chilean earthquakes are not rare, nor are they small. Large earthquakes in Chile seem, through history, to occur about every 25 to 100 years. The 1960 Valdivia earthquake or Great Chilean Earthquake is to date the most powerful earthquake ever recorded, rating 9.5 on the moment magnitude scale.
Chile has seen many earthquakes both before the 1960 record-setting tremor and after. On March 3, 1985, and on July 30, 1995 Chile experienced earthquakes that had a magnitude of about 8.
On February 27, 2010 Chile experienced an earthquake that had a magnitude of 8.8 on the moment magnitude scale and lasted for about three minutes.
On September 16, 2015 Chile experienced an earthquake that had a magnitude of 8.3, causing buildings to sway in Santiago and bringing flooding from small tsunami waves in some shore towns.
China Foeticide:
Many people in China are concerned over people's preference for baby boys than girls and inclination for gender tests and abortions. Foeticide is the act of aborting a fetus because it is female. Having a baby boy has long been preferred by Chinese couples following a belief that males can continue the family bloodline and be a better financial support for the family than females. The one child law combined with a preference for male children has led to female foeticide, along with laws to prohibit use of technology to determine the sex of the fetus before birth. Apparently the law is difficult to enforce and so sex specific foeticide continues there.
Chinese Wall:
The Great Wall of China is 4,160 total miles long and covers about 4,000 miles. It runs from Shanhaiguan in the east of China to Lop Nur in west China.
Known as "the longest cemetery on Earth" because of all of the deaths during construction, the Great Wall of China is reported to have taken the lives of more than 1 million workers. According to historical data, the labor force was made up of three groups: soldiers, common people and criminals. The Emperor Qin Shihuang ordered millions of people to finish this project. The Great Wall construction led to a large number of deaths and injuries. The workers who died are believed to be entombed in the walls.
Chipped in Hand:
Implantable RFID chips designed for animal tagging are now being used in people. An early experiment with RFID implants was conducted by British professor of cybernetics Kevin Warwick, who implanted a chip in his arm in 1998. In 2004 Conrad Chase offered implanted chips in his night clubs in Barcelona and Rotterdam to identify their VIP customers, who in turn use it to pay for drinks.
In 2004, the Mexican Attorney General's office implanted 18 of its staff members with the Verichip to control access to a secure data room.
Security experts have warned against using RFID for authenticating people due to the risk of identity theft. For instance a man-in-the-middle attack would make it possible for an attacker to steal the identity of a person in real-time. Due to the resource constraints of RFID’s it is virtually impossible to protect against such attack models as this would require complex distance-binding protocols.
Privacy advocates have protested against Implantable RFID chips, warning of potential abuse and denouncing these types of RFID devices as "spy chips," and that use by governments could lead to an increased loss of civil liberties and would lend itself too easily to abuse. One such case of this abuse would be in the microchip's dual use as a tracking device. Such concerns were justified in the United States, when the CIA program COINTELPRO was revealed to have tracked the activities of high profile political activist and dissident figures. There is also the possibility that the chip's information will be available to those other than governments, such as private business, thus giving employers highly personal information about employees. In addition, privacy advocates state that the information contained in this chip could easily be stolen, so that storing anything private in it would be to risk identity theft.
According to the FDA, implantation of an RFID chip poses potential medical downsides. Electrical hazards, MRI incompatibility, adverse tissue reaction, and migration of the implanted transponder are just a few of the potential risks associated with the Verichip ID implant device, according to an October 12, 2004 letter issued by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Christiania:
Christiania, also known as Freetown Christiania is a self-proclaimed autonomous neighborhood of about 850 residents, covering 34 hectares (84 acres) in the borough of Christianshavn in the Danish capital Copenhagen. Christiania has been a source of controversy since its creation in a squatted military area in 1971. Its cannabis trade was tolerated by authorities until 2004.
Christos:
Christ is the English term transliterated from the Greek (Khristףs) meaning "the anointed." The title Christ is derived from the Hebrew Messiah and means literally; covered in oil, anointed.
To anoint is to pour or smear with perfumed oil, milk, water, melted butter or other substances, a process employed ritually by many religions. People and things are anointed to symbolize the introduction of a sacramental or divine influence, a holy emanation, spirit, power or god. It can also be seen as a spiritual mode of ridding persons and things of dangerous influences, like demons believed to be or to cause disease.
The Ancient Egyptian Pharaoh is depicted being anointed by Horus (sun god and "father" of Pharaoh) and Thoth (god of wisdom), the oil of which is symbolically depicted as a stream of ankhs (symbols of life). Also, especially from the New Kingdom onward, anointing is often depicted in intimate scenes between husband and wife, where the wife is shown anointing her spouse, as a sign of affection. The most famous example of this is on the throne of Tutankhamen.
In the Hindu belief systems anointment is freely practiced. To mark particular devotions, as a "consecration" to particular beliefs or as a ritualized blessing used especially to invoke auspicious beginnings, every stage of life features some gesture of anointment, from rituals accompanying birthing, to religious or educational initiations, royal enthronements to final rites. Even every new building and household is anointed, as well as some ritual instruments. Likewise, the installation and care of any deity's form (frequently appearing as a statue) can involve daily ritual anointing. In every case the direction of the smearing is significant. Persons are anointed from head to foot, downwards, as in India the ground is considered less clean than the uplifted head. Anointing is also used to aid persons within negative cycles-illnesses, demonic possession or streaks of "bad luck".
Buddhist practices of anointing are largely derived from Indian practices but tend to be much less free and noticeably less elaborate. The range of Buddhist "anointments" typically include sprinkling assembled practitioners with water and the devotions shown to deities, images or ritual articles by marking statues of Buddha, Bodhisattvas and divinities with butter (including yak butter) and various waters including flower-waters, "saffron-waters" stained yellow using saffron or turmeric. Ointments including astrological and talismanic elements such as ink-water are also employed in Buddhist herbal medicine practice.
During the 12th century the fleur-de-lis had become the heraldic emblem of the kings of France, whose court propaganda traced the first adoption of the fleur-de-lis to the conversion of the Frankish King Clovis I in 493. The story takes various forms, many of which relate to Clovis' conversion, and support the claim of the anointed Kings of France that their authority came directly from God, without the mediation of either the Emperor or the Pope.
Some legends describe a vial of oil sent from heaven to anoint and sanctify Clovis at his coronation, perhaps brought by a dove to Saint Remigius. Another variation says a lily appeared at Clovis' baptismal ceremony as a gift of blessing from an apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary, who is often associated with the flower.
Church Bells:
Ritual Altar Bells for Wicca, Witchcraft, and Pagans have long been associated with mystical happenings and communication with spirits. Goddess images in the shapes of bells have been saved from very ancient times. It is believed they were used in ritual and worship for calling the spirits.
Bells were also used for protection. We find bells used in exorcisms. Native South American Shamans used bells during magic practices.
Church Fight:
Many churches have tremendous potential, but they never achieve what God desires because the members spend all their time fighting with one another. Fighting in a church doesn’t just affect the combatants; it influences the whole church as people start taking sides. The Bible says, we should avoid situations that cause arguments. 2 Timothy 2:23-24 states: "But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes. And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient." We must teach troublemakers to repent. 2 Timothy 2:25-26 says, "in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will." We must warn those causing trouble that their negative words hurt others. 2 Timothy 2:14 says, "Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers."

Church Haven:
A safe or inviolable place of refuge, esp. as formerly offered by the Christian Church to criminals, outlaws, etc. This protection was given to murderers, thieves or people accused of adultery. It also concerned the fugitive slave, who would however be handed back to his owner if this one swore on the Bible not to be cruel. This Christian right of asylum was confirmed by all following councils.
City Dump:
A city dump (or landfill) is a site for the disposal of waste materials by burial and is the oldest form of waste treatment. A large number of adverse impacts occur from landfill operations. These impacts can vary: fatal accidents (e.g., scavengers buried under waste piles); infrastructure damage (e.g., damage to access roads by heavy vehicles); pollution of the local environment (such as contamination of groundwater and/or aquifers by leakage and residual soil contamination during landfill usage, as well as after landfill closure); off gassing of methane generated by decaying organic wastes (methane is a greenhouse gas many times more potent than carbon dioxide, and can itself be a danger to inhabitants of an area); harboring of disease vectors such as rats and flies, particularly from improperly operated landfills, which are common in Third-world countries; injuries to wildlife; and simple nuisance problems (e.g., dust, odor, vermin, or noise pollution).

Cloaked Aliens:
Aliens possess a cloaking device that renders them invisible. Former Marine Air Corps Major Donald Keyhoe, director of the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena, conducted an investigation of the existence of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFO's). Major Donald Keyhoe recounted what is probably the most significant of all wartime radar detections of UFO's. There were between 200 to 300 objects involved. All of them were invisible to the naked eye. It was called the Nansei-shoto case because of its occurrence near the islands south of Okinawa, Japan.
The story was given to Major Keyhoe by a U.S. Navy officer, identified as James Dawson (a pseudonym), who had served as a Combat Information Center Officer aboard an aircraft carrier during the incident. Patrolling the area south of Okinawa in company with another aircraft carrier, Dawson's ship detected with radar (Microwaves) a huge force of enemy aircraft approaching from the northeast.
Initial radar contact was 120 miles. The blip or echo returning from in incoming force was very large, supporting an estimate of 200-300 aircraft in formation. But it could also be one huge craft, an idea that was impossible to think about in those days for an enemy aircraft. At 100 mile range, their speed was determined to be 650 knotts nearly 700 mph. No known aircraft in the world at that time could attain such speed. At eighty miles and at an altitude of 12,000 feet, the incoming force of aircraft began to spread out in two formations from the main body, as though preparing to assault the whole American task force. Only twelve available US aircraft were scrambled to intercept. In bright weather, with only scattered clouds at 5,000 feet, the American pilots were in clear skies. At 15,000 feet on interception with the radar signal, they never did see a single incoming craft, let alone 200-300 of them. According to Major Keyhoe, the U.S. Navy acknowledged after the war that there had been this inexplicable Ghost of Nansei-shoto. There are countless examples of Ghost Aircraft that show up on radar and remain invisible to pilots.

Close Moon:
On the 19th of March 2011, the moon will swing around Earth more closely than it has in the past 18 years, lighting up the night sky from just 221,567 miles (356,577 kilometers) away. On top of that, it will be full.
Richard Nolle, a noted astrologer who runs the website astropro.com, has famously termed the upcoming full moon at lunar perigee (the closest approach during its orbit) an "extreme supermoon."
When the moon goes super-extreme, Nolle says, chaos will ensue: Huge storms, earthquakes, volcanoes and other natural disasters can be expected to wreak havoc on Earth.
The moon's gravitational pull at lunarperigee, the scientists say, is not different enough from its pull at other times to significantly change the height of the tides and thus the likelihood of natural disasters.
"A lot of studies have been done on this kind of thing by USGS scientists and others," John Bellini, a geophysicist at the U.S. Geological Survey, told Life's Little Mysteries. "They haven't found anything significant at all."
John Vidale, a seismologist at the University of Washington in Seattle and director of the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network, concurred. "Practically speaking, you'll never see any effect of lunar perigee," he said. "It's somewhere between 'It has no effect' and 'It's so small you don't see any effect.'"
Cloud Light:
"And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory" (Luke 21:27). "Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him" (Rev.1:7).
According to the Bible Jesus will come in a cloud, but Satan and his demons (aliens) will come to the earth, pretending to be Jesus and angels of righteousness, in order to lead men astray. Satan and his demons will come by spaceships that will shine great light on the inhabitants of earth. They will perform many miracles just as Jesus did when He came the first time. Satan’s delusions will be powerful, but he will not be able to imitate the biblical account of the manner of Christ’s coming.
CNN Weather:
CNN Weather is the weather reporting and forecasting section of the CNN channel which deals in world wide news casting. CNN Weather is one of the widely viewed news channels the world over. Also CNN Weather has a large coverage network that covers the weather conditions of almost all the important destinations in the globe.
Coat Hangers:
A self-induced abortion (or self-induced miscarriage) is an abortion performed by the pregnant woman herself, outside the recognized medical system. The historical use of coat hangers to self-induce an abortion led to the use of coat hangers as a symbol of the abortion rights movement, which associates dangerous methods of self-induced abortion with the illegality of abortion.
When abortion was illegal women desperate to terminate a pregnancy, may have attempted to remove the fetus with a coat-hanger or similar device inserted into the uterus through the cervix. See Killing A Child
Coat of Arms:
A coat of arms, more properly called an armorial achievement, armorial bearings, or often just arms for short, in European tradition, is a design belonging to a particular person (or group of people) and used by them in a wide variety of ways. See Eagle of Saladin
Cocaine Paste:
Cocaine paste, also known as coca paste, paco or basuco in South America, is a collective name given to several different cocaine products. Cocaine paste includes crude intermediate stages of the cocaine preparation process and their freebase forms as well as "crack cocaine" prepared from pure cocaine hydrochloride.
Coccoid Bacteria:
In microbiology, cocci are spherical-shaped bacterium. Many species of bacteria have characteristic arrangements that are useful in identification. Pairs of cocci are called diplococci; rows or chains of such cells are called streptococci; grapelike clusters of cells, staphylococci; packets of eight or more cells, sarcinae; and groups of four cells in a square arrangement, tetrads. These characteristic groupings occur as a result of variations in the reproduction process in bacteria. See A Meteorite

Code of the Bible:
The study and results from this cipher have been popularized by the book The Bible Code by Michael Drosnin. Drosnin, let it be clear, does not believe in God. In his view, some advanced civilization left a message encoded in the Bible to warn us of impending catastrophe.
The code is composed of words spelled out by skipping equal numbers of letters through the original Hebrew text. This phenomenon is called ELS-Equidistant Letter Sequences--words with equal jumps of spaces between each letter.
The theory of the Bible Code states that imbedded in the Hebrew text of the Old Testament are names and historic facts, past, present and future, which can be decoded with the help of a computer. A team at Hebrew University in Jerusalem reported remarkable findings of codes buried in the book of Genesis in 1988. Other researchers followed, claiming to find predictions in the ancient text of "the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin in 1995 to a Los Angeles earthquake in 2010." Some authors capitalized on these findings and published a series of best-selling religious books. Michael Drosnin's book "The Bible Code" reached the third spot on the New York Times best-seller list.
The actual truth about the Bible codes was finally revealed by statistical analysis: they were meaningless. Many of Drosnin's predicitions have been proven false. Among the most important, Drosnin clearly states in his book "The Bible Code II", published on December 2, 2002, that there was to be a World War involving a "Atomic Holocaust" that would allegedly be the end of the world. Another claim Drosnin makes in "The Bible Code II" is that the nation of Libya would develop weapons of mass destruction that they would then be given to terrorists who would then use them to attack the West (specifically the United States). In reality Libya improved relations with the West in 2003 and gave up all their existing weapons of mass destruction programs. A final claim Drosnin made in "The Bible Code II" was that Palestinian Authority leader Yasser Arafat would allegedly be assassinated by being shot to death by gunmen which Drosnin specifically stated would be from the Palestinian Hamas movement. This prediction by Drosnin also failed, as Yasser Arafat died on November 11, 2004 of what was later declared to be natural causes (specifically a stroke brought on by an unknown infection).
In October of 2010, Drosnin published the third book in the series: The Bible Code III: The Quest. In it he made more false predictions. It predicted a nuclear attack by Osama bin Laden on the U.S. in 2011. Osama bin Landen was killed in Pakistan on May 2, 2011, by a United States special forces military unit. He predicted that Sarah Palin was going to run for the presidency in 2012. From the time of her Vice Presidential nomination in 2008, Palin was considered a potential candidate for the 2012 presidential election until she announced in October 2011 that she would not run. From the time of her Vice Presidential nomination in 2008, Palin was considered a potential candidate for the 2012 presidential election until she announced in October 2011 that she would not run.
The Bible was not created for the purposes that Michael Drosnin has used it for! When used as a tool to predict the future, the Bible becomes a book of divination. The Bible forbids divination, (Leviticus 19:26, Deuteronomy 18:10). See Torah Bibles
Coequally:
Coequally is defined as: An equal person or thing; equal to each other in size, rank or position.
Contrary to popular belief, men and women are not equal. Men and women are not equal in body structure or appearance, in body strength, in voice tone, in dress, in mental aptitudes and interests, in emotional composure, in likes and dislikes, in reproductive and nurturing capabilities, etc. In role and function there are marked Biblical distinctions between men and women. This is clearly seen in creation. Adam was created first and Eve was created as a companion and helper for Adam. “The LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him” (Gen. 2:18). Eve was created as a weaker vessel and Adam was to be her protector. The Bible states: “Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered” (1 Peter 3:7). Therefore it is as wrong to say that the woman, who was created from the man, is equal to the man, as it is to say that man, who was created by God, is equal to God.
From the beginning when God gave the man dominion over all things, his dominion included over his wife. The man was to rule over the woman (Gen. 3:16). According to the Bible, women are supposed to submit to their husbands, as to the Lord (Eph. 5:22). The husband’s primary responsibility is to lead and provide for the home and care for the woman, to nourish and cherish her, and to protect and defend her. The woman’s dominion and responsibility is the management of the home. The Bible states: “The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed” (Titus 2:3-5).
Furthermore, God our Creator said that the woman’s identity was in her husband. Until about 150 years ago, in American law a married woman did not have a legal identity separate from her husband. She was considered a "femme couvert," literally, "a woman under cover" of her husband. This was an application of the idea that in marriage, a husband and wife are united into one entity. The Bible says when two people get married they become one flesh...a whole...not a half! (Gen. 2:24), the woman’s oneness with her husband incorporates her identity within him. That is why for centuries, upon marriage the woman has taken the name of her husband, giving up her own. Her identity is now found in him.
The common belief that marriage is a 50-50 affair is a myth. When it comes to marriage, you are not looking for your other half. The sexes weren't designed to be equal. Each person must learn to except their role in life.

Comet Chips:
Comets are made up of a cluster of smaller icy pieces called "cometesimals," which are weakly held together by gravity. When heated up, the icy pieces break apart.
Comet Cloud:
The Oort cloud is a hypothesized spherical cloud of comets which may lie roughly 50,000 AU, or nearly a light-year, from the Sun. Objects in the Oort cloud are largely composed of ices, such as water, ammonia, and methane. Astronomers believe that the matter comprising the Oort cloud formed closer to the Sun and was scattered far out into space by the gravitational effects of the giant planets early in the Solar System's evolution. The outer Oort cloud is only loosely bound to the Solar System, and thus is easily affected by the gravitational pull both of passing stars and of the Milky Way Galaxy itself. These forces occasionally dislodge comets from their orbits within the cloud and send them towards the inner Solar System. Because comets are surrounded by a cloud of their own gas and dust, the nuclei of comets never reveal their exact size.
Comet Comes: See December Comet, December Mabus, Mabus Comes
Comet Cracks:
As a comet heats up, its ice "sublimates" directly into gas, bypassing the liquid stage. This generates outward pressure. The pressure builds up and the comet cracks or breaks.
Commercials:
A television advertisement or television commercial is a span of television programming produced and paid for by an organization that conveys a message.
Controversy:
Commercial Brainwashing: Neuromarketing uses magnetic resonance imaging, or MRI. Test subjects are put in MRI machines, until now, used solely for life-saving medical practices, searching for cancers, tumors, etc. They are shown various images, chosen by the researcher (or, more correctly, his funder); different stimuli, or classes of stimuli, will affect different areas of the brain. For example, a certain stimulus will trigger fear, or sadness, or compassion or joy.
The researcher can study what related stimuli can trigger similar reactions. From this, the scientist (or, more correctly, the political party) can tie other images, smells, sounds or feelings to that precise area. Old memories will be exploited to induce level-headed adults to buy products based on color or form. This new era of advertising will have people buying items without having a clue as to why.
Competent:
Just knowing the Scriptures of the Bible is not good enough. Just knowing what Jesus has done for man and what he is offers is not good enough. It's possible to have a head full of knowledge but a heart that's closed to God. “And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape. And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not. Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life” (John 5:37-40). To have a relationship with God, we need to welcome him into our life.
Computer:
The computer in and of itself is not evil, it is an inanimate object. The user is the abuser and it is the abuse of technology that is the evil. The computer has been used as a tool to aid criminal activity. This includes storing records of fraud, producing false identification, reproducing and distributing copyright material, collecting and distributing child pornography, and other crimes. The computer has also been used as a tool for other questionable or objectionable activities such as voyeurism, posting lewd or graphic materials, using offensive or obscene language, etc.
May also be a reference to: The Apple I, also known as the Apple-1, was an early personal computer. It was designed and hand-built by Steve Wozniak. Wozniak's friend Steve Jobs had the idea of selling the computer. The Apple I was Apple's first product, demonstrated in April 1976 at the Homebrew Computer Club in Palo Alto, California. It went on sale in July 1976 at a price of $666.66 According to Wozniak that price was chosen because "It was easy to remember, wholesale plus one-third. We didn't even know that 666 had negative connotations at the time."
Designer Rob Janoff came up with the famous stylized Apple Computer logo, now replaced by a monochrome version. The bite out of the apple has variously been interpreted as a play on "byte", or a reference to Adam and Eve. Occultists and New Agers teach that taking a bite out of the apple gave mankind knowledge, or gnosis, putting them on the path to self-divinity and godhood.
Dr Matthew Steenberg, a theologian at Oxford University, has written numerous papers on the significance of the Adam and Eve story of Genesis, where Eve was tempted by the serpent to eat a fruit - long held to be an apple - from the Tree of Knowledge.
Apples appear in many religious traditions, often as a mystical or forbidden fruit. Though the forbidden fruit in the Book of Genesis is not identified, popular Christian tradition holds that Eve coaxed Adam to share an apple with her. As a result, in the story of Adam and Eve, the apple became a symbol for knowledge, immortality, temptation, the fall of man into sin, and sin itself.
Dr. Steenberg notes: "The deception seems to be encapsulated in the fruit, something beautiful and delicious. In popular culture the episode is widely known. It encapsulates the temptation towards something that looks innocent and normal and ordinary but which has a significance beyond itself."
Comradeship:
"War gives us a distorted sense of self. It gives us meaning. It creates a feeling of comradeship that obliterates our alienation and makes us feel, for perhaps the first time in our lives, that we belong. War allows us to rise above our small stations in life, to find nobility in the cause, feelings of selflessness, even bliss...We feel, in war time, comradeship. We confuse this with friendship, with love. There are those who will insist that the comradeship of war is love, the ecstatic glow that makes us, in war, feel as one people, one entity, is real. But this is part of war's intoxication. Think back on the days after the attacks of 9/11. Suddenly, we no longer felt alone. We connected with strangers, even with people we did not like. We felt we belonged, that we were somehow wrapped in the embrace of the nation, the community. In short, we no longer felt alienated. As this feeling dissipated in the weeks after the attack, there was a nostalgia for its warm glow. War time always brings with it this comradeship, which is the opposite of friendship." ~ Chris Hedges in War Is A Force That Gives Us Meaning
“Comrades, You’re in the concentration camp of Auschwitz. There’s a long road of suffering ahead of you. But don’t lose courage. You’ve already escaped the gravest danger: selection. So Now, muster your strength, and don’t lose heart. We shall all see the day of liberation. Have faith in life. Above all else, have faith. Drive out despair, and you will keep death away from yourselves. Hell is not for eternity. And now, a prayer- or rather, a piece of advice: let there be comradeship among you. We are all brothers, and we are all suffering the same fate. The same smoke floats over all our heads. Help one another. It is the only way to survive. Enough said. You’re tired. Listen. You’re in Block 17. I am responsible for keeping order here. Anyone with a complaint against anyone else can come and see me. That’s all. You can go to bed. Two people to a bunk. Good Night.” ~ Elie Wiesel in Night
Night by Elie Wiesel is a striking recollection of the author’s experience in the Jewish Holocaust. This is the speech given by the prisoner in charge of Elie’s group when they enter Auschwitz for the first time. In traditional accounts of war from the perspective of the soldier, comradeship is something to be desired. In All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque, the main character Paul states that comradeship is “the finest thing that arose out of the war,”. Comradeship helps to keep soldiers of WWI from going insane in the trenches. Comradeship is vital to the soldiers’ survival. It provides them with a sense of security.
“Comrade,” I say to the dead man, but I say it calmly, “to-day you, to-morrow me. But if I come out of it, comrade I will fight against this, that has struck us both down; from you, taken life—and from me—? Life also. I promise you, comrade. It shall never happen again.” (Remarque 226)
This passage is from Erich Maria Remarque’s All Quiet on the Western Front. All Quiet on the Western Front is a novel by Erich Maria Remarque, a German veteran of World War I. The book describes the German soldiers' extreme physical and mental stress during the war.
In the story, Paul Baumer is overcome by guilt after killing an enemy soldier. Paul was hiding in a trench on the enemy’s side when another man jumped into it, and Paul stabbed him without thinking. The man does not die instantly however, and Paul is forced to spend hours hiding in the trench with the dying man. Once he does die, Paul is so overcome by guilt that he feels it necessary to justify his actions. While doing this, he decides there are no benefits to war. War simply takes away life and in this fact all soldiers share a common bond. No matter the cause they fight for, all soldiers are united by the sacrifices they make and the horrors they witness. This quotation is extremely significant to not only the novel but to all literature of war because it explores how comradeship can cross enemy lines. This passage challenges the old ideals of comradeship and war. Comradeship is considered to only exist between those who are fighting for the same cause.
Concoction:
The invention of a scheme or story to suit some purpose. For example: "His testimony was a concoction of lies and half truths."
Confessing:
Confessing refers to admitting to a reprehensible deed under pressure, by some means of torture or duress as a result of an interrogation. Not to be confused with a religious confession, which is taking responsibility for something you know or believe, and telling it forthrightly to all who should hear it. In the Bible it refers to two things, namely (1) confessing your faith in Christ to the world, and (2) confessing your sins to God.
Confucius:
Confucius (551-479 BCE), according to Chinese tradition, was a thinker, political figure, educator, and founder of the Ru School of Chinese thought. His teachings, preserved in the Lunyu or Analects, form the foundation of much of subsequent Chinese speculation on the education and comportment of the ideal man, how such an individual should live his live and interact with others, and the forms of society and government in which he should participate.
Conjuring:
To summon (a devil or spirit) by magical, supernatural power, spells and incantations.
Contrails:
Contrails or vapor trails are long thin artificial (man-made) clouds that sometimes form behind aircraft. Their formation is most often triggered by the water vapor in the exhaust of aircraft engines, but can also be triggered by the changes in air pressure in wingtip vortices or in the air over the entire wing surface. Like all clouds, contrails are made of water, in the form of a suspension of billions of liquid droplets or ice crystals.
Some people believe that the government is spraying something into the air, and this creates unsual looking contrails. They call these “chemtrails”. The term "chemtrails", coming from the words "chemical trails" in the same fashion that the term "contrail" comes from the words "condensation trail," is a term coined to suggest that contrails are formed by something other than a natural process of engine exhaust hitting the cold air in the atmosphere.
Convergence:
"East is East, and West is West, and never the twain shall meet." ~ Rudyard Kipling, in his Barrack-room ballads, 1892.
In the social sciences, as in all disciplines, there is a definite tendency for ideas to converge. Convergence allows science and theology to support each other. Science and religion are not compatible. Science and religion use different methods to answer sometimes similar questions. Religion is subjective. In this approach explanations are based on the Bible and other religious texts as well as faith and belief. Testing and verifying information by way of experiments is not part of the process. Science by contrast relies on the scientific method. The scientific method involves creating a hypothesis, testing it by gathering observable data, and then interpreting that data. It is objective, based on verifying observations and phenomena.
The scientific method is believed to be the only valid and trustworthy way to obtain knowledge, and that matter and energy are the fundamental reality of the universe. As it turns out, both of these beliefs are self-refuting. It is clear that the first belief cannot possibly be arrived at through the scientific method. But this implies that it is unreasonable to believe that science is the only reliable guide to knowledge, since it is not arrived at scientifically. Likewise, if matter and energy are the fundamental reality, then our inferential practices are not governed by the rules of logic but rather by the laws of physics and chemistry. But then it becomes futile to offer rational reasons to believe in materialism, since beliefs are simply a result of the laws of chemistry and physics rather than of logic and rational inference. Thus by positing that human beliefs and rational inferences come about by materialistic processes, materialism actually undercuts any possible rational argument for believing materialism.
Believe it or not, scientists are not always right. Much of science is based on theory. In science, a theory is an explanation that generally is accepted to be true. This doesn’t mean the theory is correct; only that current testing has not yet been able to disprove it.
Furthermore, science does not and cannot answer all the questions of the world. For instance, why is there a universe? Or why does anything exist? Anyone who claims that science can deal adequately with such issues (in the sense of providing a properly testable theory that can reach scientifically based valid conclusions) is in fact knowingly or unknowing transgressing the bounds of science. Science has it's limitations.
In a 2008 publication titled Science, Evolution, and Creationism, the NAS stated: "Science and religion are based on different aspects of human experience. ... Because they are not a part of nature, supernatural entities cannot be investigated by science. In this sense, science and religion are separate and address aspects of human understanding in different ways. Attempts to pit science and religion against each other create controversy where none needs to exist. ... Many religious beliefs involve entities or ideas that currently are not within the domain of science. Thus, it would be false to assume that all religious beliefs can be challenged by scientific findings."
Some people see no contradiction at all between science and religion. Many simply acknowledge that the two institutions deal with different realms of human experience. Science investigates the natural world, while religion deals with the spiritual and supernatural — hence, the two can be complementary. Many religious organizations have issued statements declaring that there need not be any conflict between religious faith and the scientific perspective on evolution (National Center for Science Education. Voices for evolution).
The theory of evolution stands in contradiction to a historical understanding of the biblical story about origins. The first human couple attested in the creation account of the Bible cannot have existed if what happened was an evolutionary ascent of man from the animal kingdom.
Jerry Coyne, a scientist and a writer, recently published a long opinion piece in USA Today entitled "Science and religion aren't friends." According to Coyne "Science and faith are fundamentally incompatible, and for precisely the same reason that irrationality and rationality are incompatible. They are different forms of inquiry, with only one, science, equipped to find real truth. And while they may have a dialogue, it's not a constructive one. Science helps religion only by disproving its claims, while religion has nothing to add to science."
Convulse:
"And as he was yet coming, the demon threw him down, and tare (convulse is the Latin equivalent) him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father" (Luke 9:42).
Signs of demon possession include, but are not limited to: superhuman strength, suffering from fits and fainting, convulsions (a medical condition where a person suffers from violent involuntary contractions of the muscles, producing contortion of the body or limbs); changes in personality; having knowledge of the future or other secret information; and being able to understand and converse in languages not previously known to the victim, such as the phenomenon glossolalia.
Co-parents:
The term 'co-parent' describes a situation where, following divorce or separation, the child's parents seek to maintain equal or equivalent responsibility for the child's upbringing.
God's plan for the training of children is in the two parent, husband and wife, family, both present in the same home, both taking the role of an example to the child. Children raised by married parents in functional families are more likely to attend college, are physically and emotionally healthier, are less likely to be physically or sexually abused, less likely to use drugs or alcohol and to commit delinquent behaviors, have a decreased risk of divorcing when they get married, are less likely to become pregnant/impregnate someone as a teenager, and are less likely to be raised in poverty. In contrast, children in single-parent families and in blended families are three times more likely to need psychological help within a given year. (Peter Hill Recent Advances in Selected Aspects of Adolescent Development Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry 1993). They are more likely to go to prison, score lower on academic tests, develop health problems, have a bad relationship with God, etc. See To Divorce
Corrupt:
To be dishonest and lacking in integrity. Also the offering, giving, receiving, or soliciting, directly or indirectly, anything of value to improperly influencing the actions of another party (e.g. bribery, kickbacks, extortion, and manipulation).
Cosmic Sign:
“And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and for years” (Genesis 1:14).
Prior to calendars, the sun determined the cycle of the day and year; and the moon determined the cycle of the month. Most primitive cultures used a solar calendar, but Jewish seasons were determined by a lunar calendar. In the circuit of the heavens, there are 48 star bodies recognized as constellations.
The sun, moon and stars were created for more than to simply give light to mankind. "And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken" (Luke 21:25-26).
God revealed that the earth would be destroyed twice: once by a volume of water, and again by a judgment of fire.
The prediction of a global flood occurred in Noah's time, around 1,658 years after the creation of Adam. Adam's second warning, forecasting the destruction of the earth by fire, is also predicted in 2 Peter 3:7. This is called by theologians "the renovation of the earth with fire."
Types of Cosmic Signs:
A sackcloth sun (Revelation 6:12)
A bloody moon (Revelation 6:12)
Great signs in the heavens (Luke 21:25)
Fearful signs in the heavens (Luke 21:11)
Stars falling from the heavens (Matthew 24:29)
A darkening of the constellations (Isaiah 13:10)
The powers of heaven are shaken (Luke 21:26)
Cow as Sacred:
Cattle are considered sacred in various world religions, most notably Hinduism, but also Zoroastrianism and the religions of ancient Egypt and Greece and Ancient Rome. In some regions, especially India, the slaughter of cattle may be prohibited and their meat may be taboo.
Created By Man:
Materials that are created by man are called man made. Man made materials are made by people rather than occurring in nature. An example of a man made material is synthetic fiber.
Cremate Body:
"In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return." (Gen. 3:19).
From the earliest times in the Bible, burial constituted the proper means of dealing with dead bodies. When Abraham’s wife Sarah died - and this is the first formal burial I find in Scripture - burial tombs were used (Gen. 23:4-6). All of Abraham's family was buried in the cave of Machpelah near Mamre (25:9). Many years later, when the first high priest, Aaron, died, we are told that he was buried. The death of Moses is perhaps particularly instructive: "And Moses the servant of the LORD died there in Moab, as the LORD had said. He buried him in Moab, in the valley opposite Beth Peor, but to this day no one knows where his grave is" (Deut. 34:5-6).
It was God who dealt with Moses’ bodily remains and he buried him in the ground. In Deut. 21, a stipulation is made that even a capital criminal that is put to death is accorded the right to be buried (v. 22). Of course, the great example in the Bible is the record of the burial of Jesus Christ. Mt. 27:57-59 tells of Joseph of Arimathea gaining permission from Pilate to bury our Lord’s body in a new tomb cut out of the rock.
What about cremation? The Bible does mention it. In Joshua 7, Joshua proclaimed that whoever was found with the dedicated items stolen from Jericho “shall be destroyed by fire, along with all that belongs to him” (7:15). Leviticus 20:14 calls for the burning of a man who marries a woman and her mother. The same was true for any priest’s daughter who became a prostitute (Lev. 21:9). Burning of human remains spoke of judgment on sin, which also will be, the Bible says, by fire. Cremation is a type of the destruction of the wicked in the Lake of Fire. The Lake of Fire will receive the live bodies of the unregenerate, unrepentant, Revelation 19:20, 20:10, 15, 21:8; Matthew 5:22, 29-30, 10:28, 13:41-42, 18:9; Daniel 7:11; Malachi 4:1-3.
The New Testament describes those who have died as being “asleep” (1 Cor. 11:30; 15:6, 18, 20, 51). This is not a description of the soul or spirit. It is the body that sleeps, and sleep is a temporary condition. The bodies that sleep are awaiting resurrection. God wants us to honor and preserve the bodies of our beloved: "For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first" (1Thess. 4:15-16).
Among non-Christians, cremation is an open denial of the resurrection. The practice of cremation was used in idolatrous pagan fire worship. Burning, according to pagan belief, prevents the possible return of the ghost, purifies the soul, and wards off evil spirits. Molech was worshipped by those who passed their children through the fire. Both the passing through the fire, and the burning in the fire were essential rites in the worship of Molech. See To Feed Molech

Crime Spree:
High frequency of criminal activity to the extent that the activity appears almost continuous, often the same offender, and during a short period of time without a "cooling off period."
Cruel Heart:
Having a cruel heart can be defined as lacking kindness, compassion, etc.
The Parable of the Good Samaritan tells the story of a man who was wounded by thieves and then was left for dead on the side of a road. Two religious men passed by on that road. Both of these men walked on the other side of the road when they saw this wounded man. A third man (the Good Samaritan) then came by and had the courage and compassion to help the poor victim (Luke 10:25-37).
Jesus is telling us to follow the Samaritans example in our own conduct; i.e. we are to show compassion and love for those we encounter in our everyday activities.
Crystal ID:
Crystal Sky Technologies Limited manufactures security products. Their main products include Smart card, Time Attendance and Access Control, Fingerprint readers, Mobile phone jammers, Color Card Printers, Card Reader, Alarm Systems and other Smart card Identification Systems.
Cult of Allah:
Islam originated from the cult of the moon god. In pre-Islamic times, the sun god was viewed as a female goddess and the moon as the male god. As has been pointed out by many scholars such as Alfred Guilluame, the moon god was called by various names, one of which was Allah. The name Allah was used as the personal name of the moon god, in addition to other titles that could be given to him. Allah, the moon god, was married to the sun goddess. Together they produced three goddesses who were called "the daughters of Allah." These three goddesses were called Al-Lat, Al-Uzza, and Manat. The daughters of Allah, along with Allah and the sun goddess were viewed as "high" gods. That is, they were viewed as being at the top of the pantheon of Arabian deities.
Curses God:
"Curse God and die" (Job 2:9).
To curse God is to call down evil upon the Lord. It is therefore not swearing, which means to take an oath. To curse is also to use language that is profane, blasphemous, or contemptuous. It is an attack against God.
To curse your fellow man, is also a curse against God. According to the Bible, "With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it curse men, who have been made in God's likeness." James 3:9
Therefore it is inconsistent to praise God and curse men with the same tongue, since men were created in God's image and bear his likeness.

Cybele's Idol:
Cybele (Kybele) was a Phrygian mother goddess, who was worshipped in Greece and Rome. Cybele was so revered that she was often called "The Mother of All" or "The Great Mother of the Gods".
Cybele's religion was a bloody cult that required its priests and priestesses as well as followers to cut themselves during some rituals. The cult was a mystery religion, which meant that it's inner secrets and practices were revealed to initiates only. The priests castrated themselves at their initiation; there was wild music, chanting, and frenzied
dancing. Cybele's retinue included many priestesses, including Amazonian, transgender female priests as well as traditional masculine functionaries such as the dendrophori (tree-bearer) and cannophori (reed-bearer), and transgender males known as the Galli.
Cybele was sometimes referred to as Dindymene or Dinymenian Mother because she was born on Mount Dindymus. Zeus had ejaculated on the ground somewhere around Mount Dindymus, where an offspring sprung out of the ground, with both male and female sex organs. The gods fearing this creature upon reaching adulthood had the hermaphrodite being castrated, thereby causing the creature to become a female being. The creature became the mother goddess, named Cybele. The gods threw away the severed phallus, and instantly an almond tree grew on that spot.
Cybele fell in love with prince Attis. However, Attis' father had him betrothed to the daughter of King of Pessinus. Jealousy had caused Cybele to drive the king and Attis mad where they castrated themselves and died. In another tradition Attis castrated himself and died. He was buried and descended into the underworld (Hell). On the third day he rose again from the dead. His worshippers were told: "The god is saved; and for you also will come salvation from your trials." Attis' passion was celebrated on the 25th of March. Processions of overwrought mourners, bearing images upon their chests, followed the statue of the goddess through the streets. Loud music played as people screamed, whirled and leaped about, slashed themselves with knives and swords. March 26 was a quiet day of rest and recovery. On March 27, a procession was made with Cybele's Idol. The idol was taken to a river where it was dipped, rubbed with ash and then washed. The conclusion of the festival with a procession in which the statue of the goddess, meteorite embedded in her brow, is majestically carried to her temple and a series of religious dramas and entertainments follow.
Cyberscience:
Cyberscience is different from traditional science. As opposed to "traditional" science that does without networked computers, the notion of "cyberscience" captures the use of these information and communication technologies based applications and services for scientific purposes.
Cyber Shop:

("Why Marriage Matters: 26 Conclusions from the Social Sciences," Bradford Wilcox, Institute for American Values).
