Acid assaults, also called an acid attack, a vitriol attack or vitriolage, is a form of violent assault defined as the act of throwing acid or a similarly corrosive substance onto the body of another "with the intention to disfigure, maim, torture, or kill." Perpetrators of these attacks throw acid at their victims, usually at their faces, burning them, and damaging skin tissue, often exposing and sometimes dissolving the bones. The most common types of acid used in these attacks are sulfuric and nitric acid. Hydrochloric acid is sometimes used, but is much less damaging. The long term consequences of these attacks may include blindness, as well as permanent scarring of the face and body, along with far-reaching social, psychological, and economic difficulties.
Today, acid attacks are reported in many parts of the world. Since the 1990s, Bangladesh has been reporting the highest number of attacks and highest incidence rates for women, with 3,512 Bangladeshi people acid attacked between 1999 and 2013. Although acid attacks occur all over the world, including in Europe and the United States, this type of violence is mainly concentrated in South Asia.

A Alien Black Hole:
Professor Vyacheslav Dokuchaev claims that at the centre of certain black holes, and under the right conditions, is an area where the fabric of space and time exists once more. The idea by physicist Professor Vyacheslav Dokuchaev from the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow appears to go against the common belief that black holes are giant gravity wells gobbling up anything that gets too close.
In the Journal of Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics, Dokuchaev follows on from previous theories that subatomic particles such as photons can have stable orbits inside the internal structure of some black holes. He says supermassive black holes at the center of galaxies could allow particles, and perhaps even planets with alien life, to orbit the singularity without being destroyed.

Atbash is a simple substitution cipher for the Hebrew alphabet. It consists in substituting aleph (the first letter) for tav (the last), beth (the second) for shin (one before last), and so on, reversing the alphabet. Hence the name, Aleph-Tav-Beth-Shin (אתבש).

A Babbling Church:
The Pentecostal Church within Christianity places special emphasis on a direct personal experience with God through which is evidenced by speaking in tongues. A Pentecostal believer in a religious experience may vocalize fluent, unintelligible utterances (glossolalia), or articulate an alleged natural language previously unknown to them (xenoglossy).
When God predicted the gift of tongues He said, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name they shall cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues” (Mark 16:17).
In Acts 2:4 Luke uses a different adjective when he says, “they began to speak with other tongues.” The word “other” (Gr. heteros) simply means that they spoke in languages different from the normal language they were used to. The context substantiates this. Notice the surprised reaction on the part of the hearers-“And they were all amazed and marveled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galileans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?” (Acts 2:7, 8). Every man heard them speak in his own language (Acts 2:6).
There are those who tell us that the tongues in First Corinthians are ecstatic utterances not known in any country on earth. They base their conclusion on the term “unknown” which appears in 1 Corinthians 14:2, 4, 13, 14, 19, and 27. All the usages of tongues in Paul’s treatment of the subject refer to foreign languages. “So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into air” (1 Corinthians 14:9).
The tongues-speaking in the New Testament was in the native languages of hearing people. The supernatural phenomenon which took place at Pentecost was the exercise of a gift whereby many people from many countries, gathered at Jerusalem, heard God’s message in their own language. This was indeed a miracle of God.
There is no trace of Scriptural evidence that tongues were ever heard by anyone as incoherent, incomprehensible babbling. Because of the abuse and misuse of tongues in the Corinthian Assembly Paul states its purpose. The spiritual immaturity of the saints in Corinth called for instruction, so in the middle of his discourse on tongues he writes, “Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men” (1 Corinthians 14:20). The Greek word for “men” (teleios) means mature. In their misuse of speaking in tongues they were showing their immaturity, a behavior pattern which characterized the believers. The Apostle reminded them that they remained “babes in Christ” (1 Corinthians 3:1).

The use of the name "Lucifer" in reference to a fallen angel stems from an interpretation of
Isaiah 14:3-20, a passage that speaks of a particular Babylonian King, to whom it gives the title of "Day Star", "Morning Star" (in Latin, lucifer), as fallen or destined to fall from the heavens or sky.
Abaddon Left Hand:

Apollyon is the rendering of the Hebrew word Abaddon, "the angel of the bottomless pit." He is the leader of the locusts of Revelation and is typified as the cause of wars and upheavals, the minister of death and author of havoc on earth.

A Barcode Labeling:
A barcode is an optical machine-readable representation of data, which shows data about the object to which it attaches. Originally, barcodes represented data by varying the widths and spacings of parallel lines, and may be referred to as linear or 1 dimensional (1D). Later they evolved into rectangles, dots, hexagons and other geometric patterns in 2 dimensions (2D). Although 2D systems use a variety of symbols, they are generally referred to as barcodes as well.
One of the most popular and shocking accusations concerning the number "666" is that the number "666" is hidden in every UPC barcode. Mary Stewart Relfe's book, "The New Money System 666", published in 1982, is the "pioneer" of the "666 in the UPC barcode" teaching. Relfe's book contains over 50 pages of doumentation on the UPC barcodes. Relfe's discovery is repeated in many publications touching the Mark of the Beast.
Contrary to popular belief, the number "666" is NOT hidden in the UPC barcode. The inventor of the UPC barcode is George J. Laurer. In 1971, while Mr. Laurer was an employee with IBM, he was assigned the task "to design the best code and symbol suitable for the grocery industry". In 1973, Mr. Laurer's UPC barcode was implemented. According to Mr. Laurer:
"Rumor has it that the lines (left, middle, and right) that protrude below the U.P.C. code are the numbers 6,6,6... and that this is the international money code. I typed a code with all sixes and this seems to be true. At least they all resemble sixes. What's up with that?
Answer- Yes, they do RESEMBLE the code for a six. An even parity 6 is:
1 module wide black bar 1 module wide white space 1 module wide black bar 4 module wide white space
There is nothing sinister about this nor does it have anything to do with the Bible's "mark of the beast" (The New Testament, The Revelation, Chapter 13, paragraph 18). It is simply a coincidence like the fact that my first, middle, and last name all have 6 letters. There is no connection with an international money code either".
The barcode undoubtedly is paving the road for 666: the Mark of the Beast. As with all other scientific discoveries and inventions the old gives way to the new, and it is possible that new technologies may make barcodes obsolete. For instance the creation of Radio Frequency identification or RFID may one day make barcodes redundant.

A Bible = No More:
"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children" (Hos.4:6).
What if there were no Bible and no God and no Ten Commandments? What if there were no real objective standard outside of man? When man sets the standard then anything goes. Sinful men can justify anything when they reject and willfully ignore God's standards as clearly revealed in the Holy Bible. Without any divine standard of morality, what would be wrong with stealing, lying, murder,etc.? Who is to say murder is wrong? What may be detestable to some may not be detestable to others.
If there was no Bible, there would be no guide directing man on how he should live his life. If there was no God, then there would be no master to whom we are ultimately responsible for our actions. Therefore, every man can do what is right in his own eyes. Apart from moral absolutes any kind of behavior or activity can be justified.
Abimelech Killed:
Abimelech was an unprincipled, ambitious ruler, often engaged in war with his own subjects. According to the Bible, Abimelech killed the 70 sons of his father Gideon, who were his half-brothers. He killed them all except for Jotham with the same stone. Later he is in turn killed by a single stone cast by a woman.
Some believe Abimelech committed suicide with the assistance of his armor-bearer because according to Judges 9:54, Abimelech: "called hastily unto the young man his armourbearer, and said unto him, Draw thy sword, and slay me, that men say not of me, A woman slew him. And his young man thrust him through, and he died." Some believe that his death is not suicide, since Abimelech did not wield the sword himself. They believe that his armor-bearer killed him.
Both beliefs are wrong. The Battle of Thebaz begins in the middle of the siege. Already, Abimelech has taken most of the city and comes upon a heavily fortified tower. The civilians head towards the top of the tower while he fights his way through. Abimelech successfully fights most of the way towards the tower, however he was struck on the head by a mill-stone, thrown by the hand of a woman from the wall above. Realizing he had been mortally wounded, he then ordered his armor-bearer to thrust him through with his sword. This was done in an attempt to avoid the shame and disgrace of: (1) Being killed, but not really in battle. He made the mistake of getting too close to the tower, and a woman dropped an upper mill-stone on his head and killed him; (2) he was killed by a woman, which is a disgrace to a soldier; (3) he was killed with a mill-stone and not a sword.
The fact that he ordered the armour bearer to thrust him with a sword so he could try to die with dignity does NOT change the fact that he was killed by a woman! For centuries, Abimelech's shameful death was remembered as being accomplished by a woman.

A biochip is a collection of miniaturized test sites (microarrays) arranged on a solid substrate that permits many tests to be performed at the same time in order to achieve higher throughput and speed. Typically, a biochip's surface area is no larger than a fingernail. Like a computer chip that can perform millions of mathematical operations in one second, a biochip can perform thousands of biological reactions, such as decoding genes, in a few seconds.
VeriChip is a human-implantable radio-frequency identification (RFID) microchip. It is marketed by
VeriChip Corporation, a subsidiary of
Applied Digital Solutions (now
Digital Angel). It is twice the length of a dime; the device is typically implanted above the butt area of an individual’s right arm. Once scanned at the proper frequency, the VeriChip responds with a unique 16 digit number which could be then linked with information about the user held on a database for identity verification, medical records access and other uses. The insertion procedure is performed under local anesthetic in a physician's office.
VeriChip Corporation announced it agreed to acquire Steel Vault Corporation(OTCBB: SVUL) and form
PositiveID Corporation to offer identification tools and technologies for consumers and businesses. The most obvious criticism to be made of the deal is that it potentially allows PositiveID to link or cross-check patient health records (from the HealthLink chip) to people’s credit scores. One assumes that the company will put up firewalls to prevent that. PositiveID CEO Scott Silverman said: “PositiveID will be the first company of its kind to combine a successful identity security business with one of the world’s first personal health records through our Health Link business. PositiveID will address some of the most important issues affecting our society today with our identification tools and technologies for consumers and businesses.”
Brain gate is a brain implant system developed by a bio-tech company cyberkinetics in 2003 in conjunction with the department of neuroscience at brown university. The device was designed to help those who have lost control of their limps, or other bodily functions, such as patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) or spinal cord injury. The computer chip, which is implanted in to the brain monitors brain activity in the patient and converts the intention of the user in to the computer commands.
A sensor is implanted on the brain, and electrodes are hooked up to wires that travel to a pedestal on the scalp. From there, a fiber optic cable carries that brain activity data to a near by computer.
The brain is “hardwired” with connections, which are made by billions of neurons that make electricity when ever they are simulated. The electrical patterns are called brain waves. Neurons act like the wires and gates in a computer.
Brain controls motor function. Motor neurons carry a signals from the central nervous system to the muscles, skin and glands of the body, while sensory neurons carry signals from those outer parts of the body to the central nervous system.
A technique called neurofeedback uses connecting sensors on the scalp to translate brain waves in to information a person can learn from.
The sensors register different frequencies of the signals produced in the brain. These changes in the brain wave patterns indicate whether someone is concentrating or suppressing his impulses, or whether he is relaxed or tense.

All known viruses that cause influenza in birds belong to the species influenza A virus. All subtypes (but not all strains of all subtypes) of influenza A virus are adapted to birds, which is why for many purposes avian flu virus is the influenza A virus.

A Borobudor:
Located on the Indonesian island of Java, 40 km (25 miles) northwest of Yogyakarta, the Borobudur is the largest and most famous Buddhist temple in the world. The Borobudur was built over a period of some 75 years in the 8th and 9th centuries by the kingdom of Sailendra, out of an estimated 2 million blocks of stone. It was abandoned in the 14th century for reasons that still remain a mystery and for centuries lay hidden in the jungle under layers of volcanic ash.
It is not known when active use of the monument and Buddhist pilgrimage to it ceased. Sometime between 928 and 1006, King Mpu Sindok moved the capital of the Medang Kingdom to the region of East Java after a series of volcanic eruptions; it is not certain whether this influenced the abandonment, but several sources mention this as the most likely period of abandonment. The monument is mentioned vaguely as late as ca. 1365, in Mpu Prapanca's Nagarakretagama, written during the Majapahit era and mentioning "the vihara in Budur". Soekmono (1976) also mentions the popular belief that the temples were disbanded when the population converted to Islam in the 15th century.
The monument was not forgotten completely, though folk stories gradually shifted from its past glory into more superstitious beliefs associated with bad luck and misery. Two old Javanese chronicles (babad) from the 18th century mention cases of bad luck associated with the monument. According to the Babad Tanah Jawi (or the History of Java), the monument was a fatal factor for Mas Dana, a rebel who revolted against Pakubuwono I, the king of Mataram in 1709. It was mentioned that the "Redi Borobudur" hill was besieged and the insurgents were defeated and sentenced to death by the king. In the Babad Mataram (or the History of the Mataram Kingdom), the monument was associated with the misfortune of Prince Monconagoro, the crown prince of the Yogyakarta Sultanate in 1757. In spite of a taboo against visiting the monument, "he took what is written as the knight who was captured in a cage (a statue in one of the perforated stupas)". Upon returning to his palace, he fell ill and died one day later.

Malnutrition among infants and young children, which remains one of the most severe global public health problems, is among the main reasons that the
World Health Organization (WHO) so strongly supports breast-feeding. However, WHO recognizes the growing concern expressed by scientists, health professionals, environmentalists, and mothers about the potential risks posed by the presence of
toxicants and infectious agents in breast milk. The main infectious hazards are tuberculosis, hepatitis B, and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and selected chemical hazards (tobacco, persistent contaminants).

In 2011 on May 2, the body of terrorist leader Osama Bin Laden was buried in the North Arabian Sea, according to U.S. officials, so that his grave wouldn't become a shrine. According to U.S. officials, the sea burial was handled in accordance with Muslim laws which demand the body should be washed, wrapped and buried within 24 hours.
Abusive Men:

Finally came the release, the realization. It's not me . . . it's him. . . . I am worthy of love, God's and man's. One spring morning, my heart was filled with hope and with fear now only of starting over on my own. And so again I walked . . . down the hallway of our apartment building . . . never again to be silent . . . never again to live with that kind of violence, to suffer that kind of pain.

Abusive men come from all walks of life. They may be successful in their career and respected in their church and community. Abusive men often share some common characteristics. They tend to be jealous, possessive and easily angered.
Many abusive men believe that women are inferior. They believe that men are meant to dominate and control women.
Typically, abusive men deny that the abuse is happening or they minimize it. They may blame their partner for the abuse, saying, “You made me do this.”
Alcohol and drugs are often associated with domestic violence but they do not cause it. An abusive man who drinks or uses drugs has two different problems: substance abuse and violence. Both must be treated.
Abusive men may take a text from the Bible and distort it to support their right to batter. They often use Ephesians 5:22 (“Wives, submit yourselves unto your husbands as unto the Lord”) to justify their behavior. In Paul’s letter to the Ephesians he uses the principle of “mutual submission” (5:21) to set the context for how husbands and wives are to understand what a Christ-centered relationship looks like. It means that husbands should "love their wives, even as Christ loved the church, and gave himself for it" (Eph.5:25). "So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church” (Eph.5:28-29).
Men who batter also cite the Bible to insist that their victims forgive them (see, for example,
Matthew 6:9-15). A victim then feels guilty if she cannot do so. Forgiveness, however, does not mean forgetting the abuse or pretending that it didn’t happen. Forgiveness is not permission to repeat the abuse. Rather, forgiveness means that the victim decides to let go of the experience, to move on with life and not to tolerate abuse of any kind again.
From the beginning, God made it clear that his ideal was for marriage to be a one-flesh, life-long relationship. God’s strong disapproval of divorce as expressed by the prophet
Malachi (2:14-16) is often used as a reason to believe that the termination of a marriage is not an option for the people of God- even in situations of marital abuse. Yet in context, God is talking about those men who willfully put away the wives of their youth to take other wives for themselves. The emphasis of Malachi is very similar to Jesus’ confrontation of the religious leaders of his day. Many of them were also dismissing their wives for self-centered frivolous reasons (i.e. for any reason). In the process they misused the intent of Moses’ allowance of divorce. (
Matt 19:3-11). Yet by telling these men that he hates what they are doing, God was not contradicting the wisdom that he gave through Moses to allow divorce rather than to force couples to remain together in hardness of heart. Malachi speaks of the kind of divorce God hates as a kind of unjustified violence that God loathes. In fact, the prophet Jeremiah makes it clear that God himself gave unfaithful Israel a certificate of divorce (
Jer. 3:8).
In each of these examples, a good principle is taken out of context and used to support the idea that nothing is worse than divorce. When we do this we fail to see what all too many victims realize- that as regrettable as any divorce is, forced subjection to continued abuse can be far worse.

Over four years, the Khmer Rouge killed more than 1.7 million people through work, starvation and torture.

A Cascadian Quake:
"The Big One" is a term often used in casual conversation by residents of California, Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia to describe the megathrust earthquake anticipated as inevitably striking the Cascadia Subduction Zone. The name has also been applied to a megathrust earthquake expected to happen in Tokyo, Kantō region, Japan with the epicenter in Sagami Bay where the Philippine Sea Plate and North American Plate movements cause big earthquakes regularly.
The Cascadia subduction zone can produce very large earthquakes ("megathrust earthquakes"), magnitude 9.0 or greater, if rupture occurs over its whole area. See Asia Mega Quake

A Cause of Pain:
In medicine pain relates to a sensation that hurts. Pain is often described as a feeling of discomfort, distress and perhaps agony, depending on the severity of it. Pain can be caused by many conditions, but sometimes it begins mysteriously.
Accused Heaven:
In the Bible, Satan is the accuser in Heaven. The Bible states: "Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: Now have come the salvation, and strength and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night" (Rev. 12:10). The classic descriptions of Satan as the accuser are given in Job (1:6 and 2:1) when Satan accuses Job for loving God only for what God gives Job, and in Zech 3:1 in which Satan accuses Joshua the high priest because of his sins.

A Chip Scanner:
The biochip scanner would be used in conjunction with Verichip (See A Biochip Device). The scanner or reader would then give an identification number. In 2006, the VeriChip Corporation released a statement explaining how the device would work in the instance of a hospital setting. A VeriChip representative said "Here's how the chip would work: Whenever a patient comes into the emergency department, particularly if he or she is unconscious or confused, someone would take a scanner and run it over the patient's upper right arm. That's where the company suggests doctors implant the chip. If the person is chipped, an identification number will pop up on the scanner. If not, nothing happens. But assuming there's a hit, ED personnel then enters the number onto a secure VeriChip Web site, and up pops whatever information the patient stored on it."
A Christmas:
Christmas has its origins in the fourth century. December 25, which Christians now herald as Jesus' birthday, was actually the date on which the Romans celebrated the birth of the sun god. The date may have been chosen to correspond with either a Roman festival or the winter solstice.
After the Roman emperor
Constantine converted to Christianity at the Milvian Bridge in 312, he sought to combine the worship of the sun god with worship of Christ. Christian leaders accepted Constantine's conversion in a positive light and saw the "Christ-mass" celebration as a vital part of the process of converting the pagan world.
Regardless of what date many people think of as being the birth of Jesus Christ, there is no biblical justification for celebrating Christmas. Nowhere in the bible will you find the exact date of Jesus birth or any references to it being celebrated because God did not want us to remember his birth and celebrate it. Jesus and his apostles never celebrated his birth anywhere in the bible and not even after the resurrection was his birth celebrated by any of his apostles or believers. Jesus told us to remember him by the eating of the bread which signified his body and drinking the wine which signified his blood (Luke 22:19-20). This was to be celebrated as the remembrance of him and not by the celebrating of Christmas on December 25th.
In Ecclesiastes 7:1, Solomon writes, "The day of death [is better] than the day of one's birth." God has more joy when we leave this world, having overcome it, than when we enter it (see Isaiah 57:1-2; Philippians 1:21-23). God's perspective seems to be, "Why celebrate the day all your troubles began? Far better to celebrate the day they ended in victory!"
A Chronic Liar:
A chronic liar is a person who lies out of habit. They lie about everything, important matters and minor matters; they are suffering from a mental disorder (
See Disorders). They feel uncomfortable when telling the truth, but lying feels right and natural. They are sometimes referred to as compulsive liars, or pathological liars.
They may not even realize they are lying, and are not consistent in their stories. They often forget what they said on a previous occasion and come up with an entirely different story about the same matter a few days later. If discovered in a blatant falsehood, they will concoct an even more elaborate lie in an attempt to cover up the previous one.
A Church Sued:
Will the church be sued over gay marriage? Yes! The church will be sued over gay marriage rights. Same-sex marriage (also known as gay marriage) is marriage between two people of the same biological sex and/or gender identity. Same sex couples seek legal recognition as a couple. Marriage is a religious institution. Jesus himself defined the origin and essence of marriage in Matthew 19:4-6: “"Haven’t you read ... that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate." The Bible condemns homosexuality.
Some gays want to force churches to conduct gay weddings. The institutions of family and marriage are under attack. Christians must be willing to take a stand against such threats to the church. "Who will rise up for Christ against the evildoers? or who will stand up for Christ against the workers of iniquity?" (Ps.94:16). It's time for the silent majority to quit being silent and be heard! Raise your voices against the loud and proud minority!

A Cloned Army:
"Cloning of armies, by manipulating the chromosomes to create murderers without morals." ~ Nostradamus
Cloning is defined as a replica of a DNA sequence, such as a gene, produced by genetic engineering. It has been speculated that the cloning of humans could be employed to create an unstoppable "designer army". This army would be made up of genetically identical, enhanced individuals with great physical strength and artificial immunity to many diseases. The members of this hypothetical army would most likely be capable of enduring extreme physical hardship, and could even be "tailored" to the environment in which they were fighting. For example, an army sent to the tropics would be immune to tropical diseases and would be capable of fighting in extremely hot weather. An army sent to the Arctic Circle would be tolerant of exposure to very cold temperatures for long periods of time. Needless to say, this hypothetical scenario would be impossible to bring to fruition with today's technology. However, it is a possibility in the far future that has many people worried about developments in biotechnology.
A Cloned Human:
Human cloning is the creation of a genetically identical copy of a human. The term is generally used to refer to artificial human cloning; human clones in the form of identical twins are commonplace, with their cloning occurring during the natural process of reproduction. Cloning requires both DNA and embryo cells. First, DNA is removed from the nucleus of a creature’s cell. The material, bearing coded genetic information, is then placed in the nucleus of an embryonic cell. The cell receiving the new genetic information would have had its own DNA removed in order to accept the new DNA. If the cell accepts the new DNA, a duplicate embryo is formed. However, the embryo cell may reject the new DNA and die. Also, it is very possible that the embryo may not survive having the original genetic material removed from its nucleus. While cells can be generated to make new organs, it is necessary to kill several embryos to obtain the required DNA. In essence the cloning would “throw away” many human embryos as “waste material,” eliminating the chance for those embryos to grow into full maturity.
Much of the desire in the scientific community is to create clones for "spare parts," to use their stem cells, organs, and so on. Many people believe that life does not begin at conception with the formation of the embryo, and therefore embryos are not really human beings. The Bible teaches differently. Psalm 139:13-16 says, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” The writer, David, declares that he was known personally by God before he was born, meaning that at his conception he was a human being with a God-ordained future.
Each fertilized human egg, including any that results from cloning, is a new human individual. And according to the Bible (Exodus 20:13) and virtually all ethical standards, it is wrong to intentionally kill such innocent human life.
A Close Comet:
Is a comet pushed by the gravitational attraction of nearby planets into an orbit that allows it to enter the earth's orbit and thereby pose a danger of collision. In 1998
NASA commenced its part of the "Space guard" effort, with the goal of discovering and tracking over 90% of the near-Earth objects larger than one kilometer by the end of 2008. Approximately 60% of the estimated 1,000 to 1,200 large near-Earth objects have already been discovered, about 45% since NASA efforts started. While there is currently no known near-Earth object on a collision course with Earth, collisions with such objects have taken place in the past and may be associated with mass extinctions such as those that took place at the end of the Permian and Cretaceous Periods.

A Club of Rome:
In April, 1968 a think-tank of financiers, scientists, economists, politicians, heads of state, and industrialists from ten different countries, again met at Rockefeller's private estate in Bellagio, Italy, at the request of Aurelio Peccei, the Italian industrialist who had close ties to Fiat and the Olivetti Corporation. He claimed to have solutions for world peace and prosperity, which could be accomplished through world government. The Club of Rome (COR) was established with a membership of 75 prominent scientists, industrialists, and economists from 25 countries, which along with the Bilderberg, have become one of the most important foreign policy arms of the Round Table group.
Their first book titled The Limits to Growth was published in 1972 and dealt with the problem of worldwide overpopulation. It stated that "if the world's consumption patterns and population growth continued at the same high rates of the time, the earth would strike its limits within a century."
On September 17, 1973, they released a Report called the "Regionalized and Adaptive Model of the Global World System" which was prepared by Directors Mihajlo Mesarovic and Eduard Pestel as part of the "Strategy for Survival Project". This revealed the Club's goal of dividing the world into ten political/economic regions... which would unite the entire world under a single form of government. These regions are: North America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Japan, Rest of Developed World, Latin America, Middle East, Rest of Africa, South and Southeast Asia, and China. The same plan was published in a Club of Rome book called Mankind at the Turning Point, which said:
"The solution of these crises can be developed only in a global context with full and explicit recognition of the emerging world system and on a long-term basis. This would necessitate, among other changes, a new world economic order and a global resources allocation system..."
In 1976, they published RIO: Reshaping the International Order which called for a new international order, including an economic redistribution of wealth.
During the Carter Administration, a task force was appointed to expand upon this report, and on July 24, 1980, a two-volume document called "Global 2000 Report," which had been written by former Secretary of State Cyrus R. Vance, was presented to President Carter, and then Secretary of State Edward S. Muskie. It attempted to project global economic trends for the next twenty years, and indicated that the resources of the planet were not sufficient enough to support the expect dramatic increase in the world population. The report called for the population of the U.S. to be reduced by 100 million people by the year 2050.
Howard T. Odum, a marine biologist at the University of Florida, who is a member of the Club of Rome, was quoted in the August, 1980 edition of Fusion magazine, as saying: "It is necessary that the United States cut its population by two-thirds within the next 50 years." He didn't say how this would be accomplished.
About six months later, the Council on Environmental Quality made recommendations based on the Report, called "Global Future: A Time to Act." They suggested an aggressive program of population control which included sterilization, contraception and abortion. In August, 1982, the Executive Intelligence Review published a report called "Global 2000: Blueprint for Genocide" which said that the two aforementioned Presidential reports:
"...are correctly understood as political statements of intent- the intent on the part of such policy centers as the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission, and the International Monetary Fund, to pursue policies that will result not only in the death of the 120 million cited in the reports, but in the death of upwards of two billion people by the year 2000."
Peccei wrote (based on a report by COR member Harland Cleveland, U.S. Ambassador to NATO, who believed that Third World countries should decide for themselves who should be eliminated):
"Damaged by conflicting policies of three major countries and blocs, roughly patched up here and there, the existing international economic order is visibly coming apart at the seams ... The prospect of the necessity of the recourse to triage deciding who must be saved is a very grim one indeed. But, if lamentably, events should come to such a pass, the right to make such decisions cannot be left to just a few nations because it would lend themselves to ominous power over life of the world's hungry."
Throughout the world, the Club of Rome has indicated that genocide should be used to eliminate people who they refer to as "useless eaters." This would be accomplished by using limited wars in advanced countries, and even a limited nuclear strike at a strategic location; as well as starvation through created famines and diseases in Third World countries.
In the 1976 novel Ceremony of the Innocent by Taylor Caldwell, she effectively explains the rationale behind their actions:
"...there will be no peace in the tormented world, only a programmed and systematic series of wars and calamities- until the plotters have gained their objective: an exhausted world willing to submit to a planned Marxist economy and total and meek enslavement- in the name of peace."
A Comet Blast:
Deep Impact is a NASA space probe launched on January 12, 2005. It was designed to study the composition of the comet interior of 9P/Tempel, by releasing an impactor into the comet. On July 4, 2005, the impactor successfully collided with the comet's nucleus. The impact excavated debris from the interior of the nucleus, allowing photographs of the impact crater. The photographs showed the comet to be more dusty and less icy than had been expected. The impact generated a large and bright dust cloud, which unexpectedly obscured the view of the impact crater.
The Deep Impact mission was planned to help answer fundamental questions about comets, which included what makes up the composition of the comet's nucleus, what depth the crater would reach from the impact, and where the comet originated in its formation.
Two days after the U.S. mission succeeded in having a probe collide with a comet, China revealed a plan for what it called a "more clever" version of the mission: landing a probe on a small comet or asteroid to push it off course. China will begin the mission after sending a probe to the Moon.
A Cyber Human:
An Actroid is a humanoid robot and android with strong visual human-likeness developed by Osaka University and manufactured by Kokoro Company Ltd. The "Repliee" models are interactive robots with the ability to recognize and process speech and respond in kind.
Repliee Q1 is an ultra-lifelike robot. Repliee Q1 has silicone for skin, rather than hard plastic. It has a number of sensors to allow it to react in a manner that appears natural; it appears to flutter its eyelids, chest movements correspond to breathing, and other tiny shifts in position that mimic unconscious human movement. The android can mimic actions made by a human; this helps the robot's movements appear more lifelike. Artificial intelligence possessed by the android gives it the ability to react differently to more gentle kinds of touch, such as a pat on the arm. See A.I. System
A Cyclone Fence:
A cyclone fence or chain link fence is a woven fence usually made from steel wire. The wires run vertically and are bent into a zigzag pattern so each "zig" hooks with the wire immediately on one side and each "zag" hooks with the wire immediately on the other side, forming a diamond pattern. These fences are reasonably priced and easy to construct, so they are very popular everywhere, from urban to rural areas.
Some chain-link fencing features wire ends that are twisted around with the sharp ends facing up-a deterrent to climbing over the fence. In even more secure locations, a tension wire may run along the bottom of the fencing, deterring people from crossing under the fence. In really secure locations, barbed wire and razor wire may run along the top of the fence. This type of fencing poses serious hazards for firefighters working in the area.
Some chain-link fences include overhead mesh to keep people out; however, this also prevents people from easily fleeing a fire. Further, chain-link fences with overhead mesh not only slow entry, but also hinder the firefighters attempts to place ground ladders around buildings.
A Damaged Ozone:
The Earth's ozone layer protects all life from the sun's harmful radiation, but human activities have damaged this shield. Any damage to the ozone layer allows more ultra-violet radiation (UV-B) from the sun to reach the earth’s surface. During the 1970s and 1980s scientists first detected an increasing depletion of the ozone layer. It was subsequently discovered that it this depletion was accompanied by an increase in UV-B radiation reaching the earth’s surface. It was also discovered that the levels of UV-B radiation were even higher at the poles, particularly the Antarctic region in the southern hemisphere. Some countries in the temperate climate regions that are exposed to this ozone layer damage include: Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Argentina and Chile. Less protection from ultraviolet light will, over time, lead to higher skin cancer and cataract rates and crop damage.
Adam's Children:The first human beings to be born were Cain and Abel, the two children of Adam and Eve.
While Cain was a farmer, Abel was a skilled shepherd who took care of the family's animals. One day Cain and Abel made sacrifices to the Lord to worship and thank Him. Cain brought some of the produce from the land while Abel brought the first born of his sheep.
God showed favor upon Abel's sacrifice because it was an offering that came from the best Abel had to give. This made Cain very angry and jealous. Cain lured his brother Abel into the fields and killed him with a rock. The Lord called to Cain asking what happened and after Cain lies about killing his brother, God punishes Cain. While God's harsh punishment on Cain was that he would no longer able to grow crops on his land, He did promise Cain that no one would kill him.
A Dancing Star:
The small cluster of stars called the Pleiades is one of the most important constellations in mythology. Dancing appears time and again as a theme in the stories. The Pleiades look a bit like two rows of dancers gracefully moving across the sky.

A Dead Sea's Salt:
The name 'Dead Sea' is actually a kinder, gentler translation from the Hebrew name 'Yam ha Maved', which means, 'Killer Sea'. There are no fish or any kind of swimming, squirming creatures living in or near the water. There are, however, several types of bacteria and one type of algea that have adapted to harsh life in the waters of the Dead Sea. The water in the Dead Sea is deadly to most living things. Fish accidentally swimming into the waters from one of the several freshwater streams that feed the Sea are killed instantly.
A Death Threat:
A death threat is a threat, often made anonymously, by one person or a group of people to kill another person or groups of people. These threats are usually designed to intimidate victims in order to manipulate their behavior, thus a death threat is a form of coercion. For example, a death threat could be used to dissuade a public figure from pursuing a criminal investigation or an advocacy campaign.
A December Quake:
Is there a possibility that a mega earthquake 10.0+ will happen or it is just a fictional event that will never occur? The largest earthquake occurred near the cities of Valdivia and Puerto Montt, Chile, in 1960. Known as the Great Chilean Earthquake, the quake measured an impressive 9.5 on the Richter scale.

A Demonic Force:
"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness (forces of evil) in high [places]" (Eph.6:12).
Satan and his angels are very organized, like an army fighting against us. Satan and the demonic forces cannot dominate or possess us except by our own consent. Believers will not be tempted beyond their power of resistance (1Cor.10:13). The power of Satan is limited. He acts within the limits set by divine sovereignty. The believer has God's armor: "After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I [am] thy shield, [and] thy exceeding great reward" (Gen.15:1). God says to us: Fear not, for I am your shield. In other words, “I will protect you”, says the Lord. In order for God to be our shield, we have to use him as our shield. A shield is of no use to us when it is lying on the ground. In order for God to be our shield we must be obedient to his commandments.
A Devil Night:
Devil's Night is a name associated with October 30, the night before Halloween. It is related to "mischief night" practiced in other parts of the United States and the world.
In other places, Devil's Night is called "cabbage night", "gate night", "corn night", or "Hacker's Night"; all with youths committing petty vandalism, 'attacking' people and cars with such things as eggs and shaving cream, and sometimes smashing the pumpkins of neighbors and ruining other decorations.
Devil's Night in Detroit dates as early as the 1930s. Traditionally, youths in Detroit engaged in a night of criminal behavior, which usually consisted of acts of vandalism such as egging and soaping. These were almost exclusively acts of petty vandalism, causing little to no property damage. However, in the early 1970s, the vandalism escalated to more devastating acts, such as arson.
The name Devil's Night, Mischief Night or Hell Night is used in parts of the eastern U.S. and Canada, although the acts are generally less destructive and violent than those committed in Detroit. A survey done in the United States shows the comparative popularity of various names for this night around the country. In parts of Quebec, it is known as Mat Night, as stealing doormats was a common prank in earlier times.
A Disability:
During the Middle Ages, witchcraft and demonic forces are the believed causes of disabilities. In 1376 Hamburg, disabled people are housed in "the idiots' cage". In 1480 "Maleus Malificorum" was published, detailing the dangers of witchcraft and demons. It states that disabled babies are left by fairies and demons as punishment for parents who had been evil, not worshiped God, or were seduced by the devil. The baby, likewise, was considered possessed by the devil. In the 1500's, Physically and mentally-disabled people are used for amusement as court jesters. In the 1700's, Bethlehem hospital in London welcomed the public to come each Sunday and observe the patients, chained and caged, as entertainment.
A Djinn Wish:
A Djinn is a supernatural creature or demon who when summoned by a person, is required to perform the commands of the summoner. The djinn is said to grant three wishes to the summoner. It is based on the mythological jinnee or genie that resides in an oil lamp and is summoned by Aladdin.

"The sons of Adonikam," men and women and children, numbered 666 according to the list as given in Ezr, but 667 according to the copy in Neh. Adulterants are chemical substances which should not be contained within other substances. Adulterants may be intentionally added to substances to reduce manufacturing costs, or for some deceptive or malicious purpose. Deliberate addition of toxic adulterants to food or other products for human consumption is known as poisoning. Adulterants may also be accidentally or unknowingly introduced into substances.
Adulterants are the substances that are mixed to a product so that the quantity of that product may rise up with out paying any cost for that raised quantity and which leads to high profit. For example, water is an adulterant mixed with milk.

The
witching hour is the time when supernatural creatures such as witches, demons and ghosts are thought to be at their most powerful, and black magic at its most effective. This hour is typically midnight, and the term may now be used to refer to midnight, or any late hour, even without having the associated superstitious beliefs. The term "witching hour" can also refer to the period from midnight to 3am, while "devils hour" refers to the time around 3am.

In December 2001, Fox News reported:
Usama bin Laden has died a peaceful death due to an untreated lung complication, the Pakistan Observer reported, citing a Taliban leader who allegedly attended the funeral of the Al Qaeda leader.
"The Coalition troops are engaged in a mad search operation but they would never be able to fulfill their cherished goal of getting Usama alive or dead," the source said.
Bin Laden, according to the source, was suffering from a serious lung complication and succumbed to the disease in mid-December, in the vicinity of the Tora Bora mountains. The source claimed that bin Laden was laid to rest honorably in his last abode and his grave was made as per his Wahabi belief.
About 30 close associates of bin Laden in Al Qaeda, including his most trusted and personal bodyguards, his family members and some "Taliban friends," attended the funeral rites. A volley of bullets was also fired to pay final tribute to the "great leader."
The Taliban source who claims to have seen bin Laden's face before burial said "he looked pale ... but calm, relaxed and confident."
Asked whether bin Laden had any feelings of remorse before death, the source vehemently said "no." Instead, he said, bin Laden was proud that he succeeded in his mission of igniting awareness amongst Muslims about hegemonistic designs and conspiracies of "pagans" against Islam. Bin Laden, he said, held the view that the sacrifice of a few hundred people in Afghanistan was nothing, as those who laid their lives in creating an atmosphere of resistance will be adequately rewarded by Almighty Allah.
When asked where bin Laden was buried, the source said, "I am sure that like other places in Tora Bora, that particular place too must have vanished."
In 2008, former CIA case officer Robert Baer asserted, “Of course he’s dead.” In 2002 and 2009, Pakistani Presidents Pervez Musharraf and Asif Ali Zardari separately stated that bin Laden was dead. In 2002, Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf said bin Laden had kidney disease, and that he had required a dialysis machine when he lived in Afghanistan. That same year, the FBI’s top counterterrorism official, Dale Watson, said, “I personally think he is probably not with us anymore.”
During the 2004 election, CNN reported that Democratic insiders had been told that George W. Bush was going to use the Bin Laden body as an ace-in-the-hole if he thought he was in danger of losing the 2004 election.
On May 1, 2011, in Washington, D.C. (May 2, Pakistan Standard Time), U.S. President Barack Obama announced that Osama bin Laden had been killed by "a small team of Americans" acting under Obama's direct orders, in a covert operation in Abbottabad, Pakistan, about 50 km (31 mi) north of Islamabad. Is Obama taking his cues from Bush? Is this Obama's ace-in-the-hole to help boost his approval rating to ensure his chances of winning the 2012 election?
As the president gears up for his 2012 re-election bid, he can take assurance in his ability to brandish a significant foreign policy achievement: He personally signed off on a mission to capture the world's most wanted terrorist, and it was successful. Obama will be certain to remind voters about that milestone at every opportunity--knowing that it's bound to loom larger in the public mind than the last several months' worth of hand-wringing among candidates and pundits over this administration's approach to Libya and the tumultuous war in Afghanistan.
A False Teaching:
"There shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you" (2Peter2:1-3).
Since Christ is the Word of God (i.e. the Scriptures, John 1:1, 14; Hebrews 4:12-13; Revelation 19:13), the doctrine of Christ is not just His teaching found in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, but rather, His teaching is the entirety of Scripture. Therefore, a teacher can be found to be true or false based on the simple fact as to whether he abides within the confines of the word of God, or does not (John 8:47; 1 Timothy 6:3-5; 2 John 9). "Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son" (2 John 1:9).
Jesus said: "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them" (Matt. 7:15-20).

A Frank's Box:
Frank Sumption is the original creator of the ghost box, otherwise known as "Frank's Box".
Frank's Box scans AM and FM frequencies in a continuous fashion, creating white noise, which people believe spirits can use to communicate with. The box is said to be interactive because you can ask questions directly to the spirits and receive replies from them as you are talking. Frank Sumption made the box using radio, electric and computer components. He made the first box in 2002, after being prompted to do so from the spirit world.
After word got out about the Frank's Box, people began to do their own experiments and there are quite a few variations on the original device, including the
Radio Shack Hack, which is made by altering an AM/FM radio by cutting the mute pin on the radio so it continuously scans the radio frequencies. Those who have tested this method and other similar methods say that they have gotten results that are comparable to the original Frank's Box.

African Negro:
Negro is used in reference to United States citizens of African descent. According to the Online Etymology Dictionary, a negro is a "member of a black-skinned race of Africa," 1550s, from Spanish or Portuguese negro "black," from Latin nigrum (nominative niger) "black, dark, sable, dusky," figuratively "gloomy, unlucky, bad, wicked".
The Spanish language comes from Latin, which has its origins in Classical Greek. The word negro, in Greek, is derived from the root word necro-, meaning dead. When the Greeks first traveled to Africa 2,500 years ago, they encountered the Egyptian civilization. The Egyptians had hundreds of temples and hundreds of Holy Days to worship their ancestors. The Greeks thought the Africans had a preoccupation with death. The act of ancestral worship became known as necromancy or communication with the dead. The root word necro- means dead. Another word for necromancy is magic - that Old Black Magic which was practiced in Ancient Africa. When the Greeks returned to Europe, they took their distorted beliefs with them and the word negro evolved out of this great misunderstanding.
Raphael Powell, author of "The Human Side Of A People, And The Right Name," states:
"Negro may be defined as a word used as a stigma or symbol which is characteristic of inferiority. It must be clearly understood that this word pertains only to the color black. It is not synonymous with man; i.e. it does not mean - man... A word used not only as a tool, but as a nickname for the people of the black race. A word used to foster the ideas of inferiority and inequality of mankind...
Negro has been made one of the most disgraceful words in the English Language. It is infamous and abominable."
Dr. W.E.B. DuBois, who led the effort to secure capitalization of the name "Negro", has since in The World And Africa directly pointed out how "the word 'Negro' was used for the first time in the world's history to tie color to race and blackness to slavery and degradation."

African Slave:
The first Africans in America arrived as Indentured Servants via Jamestown, Virginia in 1619. From 1619 to about 1640, Africans could earn their freedom working as laborers and artisans for the European settlers. Africans could become free people and enjoy some of the liberties like other new settlers. By 1640, Maryland became the first colony to institutionalize slavery. In 1641, Massachusetts, in its written legislative Body of Liberties, stated that "bondage was legal" servitude, at that moment changing the conditions of the African workers - they became chattel slaves who could be bought and solely owned by their masters.
A Gay Katoey:
Kathoey or katoey is a Thai term that refers to either a transgender woman or an effeminate gay male in Thailand. A significant number of Thais perceive kathoeys as belonging to a third gender, including many kathoeys themselves, while others see them as either a kind of man or a kind of woman.

The purpose of this blog is to bring people closer to God by exposing all of the evils out there. Once you recognize the evil in your life, you can eliminate it. However, some will take the truth and use it for evil or to propel themselves forward along Satan's path. Some will try to discourage others from embracing truth. We live in an age were many are falling victim to Satan. When you know better, you are supposed to do better. The hope is that people will open their eyes to all the evil out there and open their hearts to the Bible. Without God and without Jesus, you will be lost in the world. Even if you have lost your way, it is never too late to turn back. Why continue to travel in the same direction, if you know you are going the wrong way? Some of us hate to admit when we are wrong. Some of us don't want to be told we are wrong. Why be stubborn? Why not ask for help and guidance? If you are lost, the Bible is like a beacon of light that will illuminate your path and point you in the right direction. You will no longer be lost. According to the Bible: "Ye shall know the truth, and truth shall make you free" (John 8:32). Truth always resonates in the heart of the listener. If these words resonate in your heart, embrace them.

A Ghost Box:
EVP or electronic voice phenomena was discovered in the late ‘50s, and has become well known today thanks to numerous TV shows featuring ghost investigators. Many are not aware of the two-way communication devices called ghost boxes. Frank’s Box is a ghost box that produces random voltage to create raw audio from an AM tuner, where it is then amplified and then fed into an echo chamber and recorded. In short, ghost boxes such as Frank’s box create audio bits and white noise that ghosts and/or spirits can then manipulate into forming words – real time two-way communication. Frank Sumption was the original inventor of the ghost box, as he conceived of the idea by experimenting with Stefan Bion’s EVPMaker software to record EVP, and was also inspired by an October 1995 Popular Electronics Magazine article that asked, “Are the dead trying to communicate with us through electronic means? Try these experiments and see for yourself.”
God has given us strong warnings in the Bible on the topic of whether or not we should attempt to contact the dead or other spirits. The Old Testament term for communicating with the dead is "necromancy". According to the Bible, it is forbidden by God: "There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD" (Deut.18:10-12).

A Gilbert Baker:
Gilbert Baker is the man who created the rainbow flag for homosexuals — one of the most recognizable symbols in the world.
It was in 1978, when Baker was commissioned by the San Francisco Gay and Lesbian Pride Parade to come up with something that could represent the community and be used annually. He spent time studying the rainbow’s placement in Biblical teaching, Native communities and the 1960s hippie culture and inevitably decided to use it to promote the movement.
The first design of the Rainbow Flag included eight stripes, each a different color with its own symbolism. Pink represented sex, red represented life, orange for healing, yellow for sunlight, green for nature, blue for art, indigo for harmony, and violet for the human spirit. Pink had to be dropped because at that time, it was not a commercially available color. Indigo would later be removed so that the flag would have an even six stripes.
The homosexual community has a habit of corrupting symbols and words to promote their lifestyle. Even the word “gay” which means happy and playful has come to represent homosexual people.
A Global Church:
The Global Church of God (GCG) is a Sabbatarian church based in England. It was founded in San Diego, Calif., in 1992, by Roderick C. Meredith. Roderick C. Meredith had been a minister in the California-based Worldwide Church of God (WCG) for 40 years. He established the GCG in response to a number of major shifts in the long-standing doctrines of the WCG. The WCG taught certain controversial doctrines, including observance of selected Mosaic laws as outlined in the first five books of the Bible (similar to aspects of Judaism), yet held to repentance and baptism and the testimony of Jesus Christ as taught in the New Testament.
Following the dissolution of most church operations in the U.S., the GCG's operations shifted to the U.K., and it reestablished a presence in North America under new organizational identities.
A God Particle:
The "God particle" is the nickname of a subatomic particle called the Higgs boson. In layman’s terms, different subatomic particles are responsible for giving matter different properties. One of the most mysterious and important properties is mass. Some particles, like protons and neutrons, have mass. Others, like photons, do not. The Higgs boson is believed to be the particle which gives mass to matter.
The Higgs boson is named after Peter Higgs, one of six physicists who, in 1964, proposed the mechanism that suggested the existence of such a particle. In mainstream media the Higgs boson has often been called the "God particle", from a 1993 book titled, "The God Particle: If the Universe Is the Answer, What Is the Question?" by physicist Leon M. Lederman and science writer Dick Teresi. Lederman explains in the book why he gave the Higgs boson the nickname "The God Particle":
"This boson is so central to the state of physics today, so crucial to our final understanding of the structure of matter, yet so elusive, that I have given it a nickname: the God Particle. Why God Particle? Two reasons. One, the publisher wouldn't let us call it the "God(explicative)" Particle, though that might be a more appropriate title, given its villainous nature and the expense it is causing. And two, there is a connection, of sorts, to another book, a much older one..."
The nickname is strongly disliked by many physicists, including Peter Higgs, who regard it as inappropriate sensationalism. Higgs is an avowed atheist. Leon Lederman is also an atheist and he regrets the term, but nothing can be done! The God particle is now the most popular name for the Higgs boson. Some believe that since Higgs boson has been discovered, we do not need God anymore! If ever there was a Godless or an atheist particle, it is the Higgs boson!

A Good People:
"None is good, except one, that is, God" (Luke 18:19).
People are inherently bad. There are several lines of biblical evidence for the historic Christian doctrine that we are all born into the world with sinful natures, due to the sin of Adam. To sin means to forget (See Forgettable). Man is born disobedient because he has forgotten God's command. We are born with a tendency to disobey and to sin; obedience to God does not come naturally to us. Man's nature, unchecked by the influence of God’s word, is not naturally good.
There are verses which declare that we are all unrighteous from the time that we are born. Proverbs 22:15 says "Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child." Genesis 8:21 declares, "...the intent of man's heart is evil from his youth." Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me” (Ps. 51:5). “The wicked are estranged from the womb; they go astray as soon as they are born speaking lies” (Ps. 58:3). “For there is not a just man on earth who does good and does not sin” (Eccl. 7:20). “That which is born of the flesh is flesh” (Jn. 3:6). “We were by nature children of wrath” (Eph. 2:3; see 1 Ki. 8:46; Isa. 53:6; 64:6; Ps. 130:3; 143:2; Rom. 3:19, 22, 23; Gal. 3:22; Ja. 3:2; 1 Jn. 1:8, 10; 5:19, etc).
Jonathon Edwards, in his classic work The Great Christian Doctrine of Original Sin Defended, remarks that on this verse: "The word translated youth, signifies the whole of the former part of the age of man, which commences from the beginning of life. The word in its derivation, has reference to the birth or beginning of existence...so that the word here translated youth, comprehends not only what we in English most commonly call the time of youth, but also childhood and infancy."
This is why children have to be taught right from wrong. The Bible says: "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it" (Prov.22:6). The Bible further states: "He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes" (Prov.13:24). The rod represents here the means of punishment, the patria potestas. He who spareth or avoideth this, and who does this even from love, has yet no true right love for his son; he who loveth him correcteth him early.
This is also the reason why man needs salvation. If people were naturally good then there would be no need for a Savior. Salvation is only possible through our Savior Jesus Christ. Jesus was sent to the world to save man from sin.
A Good Reward:
Operant conditioning is a method of learning that occurs through rewards and punishments for behavior. In other words, it is a type of learning in which an individual’s behavior is modified by its consequences (response the behavior gets); the behavior may change in form, frequency, or strength.
Children are rewarded with little gold star stickers at school for what the school calls "good behavior". Many leagues and coaches are giving out awards and trophies just to recognize youth athletes for participation regardless of the outcome. Most parents reward their children with Christmas presents regardless of what their behavior has been all year.
We live in a reward-oriented society. But what does Scripture have to say on this subject? According to Scripture, most rewards will be received in heaven, not on earth (1 Cor. 3:10-14). The Lord will weigh the substance of our works and decide upon the reward we deserve.
To help us understand this, Scripture describes five crowns. There are five heavenly crowns mentioned in the New Testament that will be awarded to believers.
The first, which is called incorruptible (1 Cor. 9:24-25), "Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible." All things on this earth are subject to decay and will perish. Jesus urges us to not store our treasures on earth “where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal” (Matthew 6:19). This is analogous to what Paul was saying about that wreath of leaves that was soon to turn brittle and fall apart. But not so the heavenly crown; faithful endurance wins a heavenly reward which is “an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you” (1 Peter 1:3-5).
Second, the crown of rejoicing (1 Thess. 2:19-20), "For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? For ye are our glory and joy." The crown of rejoicing will be our reward where “God will wipe away every tear . . . there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away” (Revelation 21:4).
Third, the crown of righteousness (2 Timothy 4:8), "Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." This crown is bestowed upon those who long for Christ's appearing and walk godly lives through Him.
Fourth, the crown of glory (1 Peter 5:4), "And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away." Peter is addressing the elders in this verse. This is considered the pastor’s crown and will be given to the ministers. This probably could also include preachers, teachers, Sunday School teachers, missionaries and all those who share His Word with others.
Fifth, the crown of life (Rev. 2:10), "Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life." For those believers who endure trials, tribulations, and severe suffering, even unto death.

A Gray Archon:
From Greek archai, "origins, beginning things, prior in time." In Gnostic cosmology, Archons are a species of inorganic beings that emerged in the solar system prior to the formation of the earth.
Archons inhabit the solar system, the extraterrestrial realm as such, but they can intrude on Earth. Gnostics believed the Archons could affect our minds using subliminal conditioning techniques.
The Archons supposedly were produced without a soul. Physical descriptions of Archons occur in several Gnostic codices. Two types are clearly identified: a neonate or embryonic type (whose form resembles a prematurely born fetus), and a draconic or reptilian type. These descriptions fit the Grays and Reptilians of contemporary reports.
A Gray Dragon:
Large serpent or reptile with gray skin or scales.
A Great Dragon:
“The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him” (Revelation 12:9).
In the Book of Revelation "...there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the great dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down.
Saint John describes Satan being thrown out of heaven three and a half years from the end of the age, "a time, times and half a time". Satan being thrown from heaven coincides with the "abomination that causes desolation" spoken of by Daniel. The Book of Daniel (12:1) states: "At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise."
A Green Avocado:
Avocado leaves contain a toxic fatty acid derivative known as persin. Persin is a fungicidal toxin, isolated only recently. It is generally harmless to humans, but when consumed by domestic animals in large quantities it is dangerous.
The chemistry of persin is not yet understood, but it is similar to a fatty acid, carried in oil, and it leaches into the body of the fruit from the pits. Negative effects in humans seem to be primarily in allergic individuals.
Feeding avocados or guacamole to any non-human animal should be avoided completely. The symptoms include gastrointestinal irritation, vomiting, diarrhea, respiratory distress, congestion, fluid accumulation around the tissues of the heart and even death.
A Grim Reaper:
Death as a sentient entity is a concept that has existed in many societies since the beginning of history. In English, death is often given the name the "
Grim Reaper" and from the 15th century onwards came to be shown as a skeletal figure carrying a large scythe and clothed in a black cloak with a hood. It has also been called the Angel of Death by some. In some cases it is believed the Grim Reaper is able to actually cause the victim's death, leading to tales that he can be bribed, tricked, or outwitted in order to retain one's life.
A Hair Follicle:
On average, there are over 100,000 follicles on our head. The number of follicles on our scalp determines the actual number of hairs crowning our head. So it would make sense that a lot of hairs strands would equate to thick hair and fewer strands would equal thin hair, regardless of the thickness of the individual strands.

A Hawaii Pidgin:
Hawaiian Pidgin English, Hawaiian Creole English, HCE, or locally known as simply Pidgin, is a creole language, accent, and dialect – based in part on English – spoken by many residents of Hawaii. Although English and Hawaiian are the co-official languages of the state of Hawaii, Hawaiian Pidgin is used by many Hawaii residents in everyday casual conversation and is often used in advertising targeted toward locals in Hawaii.
In the 19th century, indentured laborers from China, Portugal, Japan, the Philippines, Korea, and many other nations were brought to work on plantations alongside Hawaiians that were owned and operated by Caucasian North Americans. Pidgin Hawaiian was the first pidgin to develop on plantations in the 19th century, for Hawaiian was the main language of inter-ethnic communication in schools and society until 1875.
The reaction of the missions to these pidgin languages tended to be mainly negative. Namely that Bible translation and preaching was putting "broken English" into a written and permanent form.
Religious doctrine was therefore subject to local variations. As such developed it's own linguistic usages. Much of the phraseology was highly allusive or oblique. For example, "to root out evil" was translated into Pidgin English as "rausin Satan", which was interpreted as, 'to keep the local dieties at bay'.
In Pidgin English, God was known as the '(bilong) kako' (the source of cargo). Christian phrases assumed new meanings. 'God blessed Noah' came to mean 'God gave cargo to Noah'.
This is a sample exerpt from "Da Jesus Book" in Hawaiian Pidgin:
"God wen get so plenny love an aloha fo da peopo inside da world, dat he wen send me, his one an ony Boy, so dat everybody dat trus me no get cut off from God, but get da kine life dat stay to da max foeva." (John Tell Bout Jesus 3:16).
In November 2015, it was reported that Pidgin English is now officially a language in Hawaii.

A Heil Hitler:
From 1933 to 1945 the Hitler salute was the common German greeting. Heil Hitler! ("Hail Hitler!") was used when directly addressing a citizen, or, in the Waffen-SS, a higher ranking officer. Hitler himself preferred to be addressed with "Heil, mein Fuhrer!" (Hail, my Leader) or simply "Heil!” as addressing him with "Hitler" would be in third person.
Sieg Heil! ("Hail victory!") was a common Nazi chant at rallies, especially after the speeches of Hitler. Usually the words would be repeated three times to form the chant "Sieg...Heil! Sieg...Heil! Sieg...Heil!"

My cup of sorrow runneth over.
Surely heroin addiction shall stalk me,
all the days of my life
And I will dwell in the House of the Damned forever.
These tragic words, part of a twisted rewording of Psalm 23, were discovered alongside of a dead heroin addict. She was 23 years old. Her death was ruled a suicide. A hook-up with the car’s exhaust had sent carbon monoxide fumes from a running motor into the vehicle.
Also found in the car with the dead woman was this written message:
“Jail didn’t cure me. Nor did hospitalization help me for long. The doctor told my family it would have been better, and indeed kinder, if the person who got me hooked on dope had taken a gun and blown my brains out. And I wish to God he had. My God, how I wish it.”
May also be a reference to Jose Luis de Jesus Miranda. He is a former heroin addict who claims to be Jesus.

A Hindu god OM:
The syllable "OM" is first described as all-encompassing mystical entity in the Upanishads. Hindus believe that as creation began, the divine, all-encompassing consciousness took the form of the first and original vibration manifesting as sound "OM". Before creation began it was "Shunyākāsha", the emptiness or the void. Shunyākāsha, meaning literally "no sky", is more than nothingness, because everything then existed in a latent state of potentiality. The vibration of "OM" symbolizes the manifestation of God in form. The mantra "OM" is the name of God, the vibration of the Supreme.
A Holy Fight:
"Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for Allah loves not transgressors." Qur'an, Chapter 2, verse 190.
Jihad is the Arabic word for what can be variously translated as "struggle" or "effort," or "to strive," "to exert," "to fight," depending on the context. The Qur'an (the Islamic Holy Book) and the Hadith (the collected sayings of Muhammad) use the word "jihad" to refer to personal struggles. Muhammad encouraged Muslims to demand justice in the name of Allah. When asked: "'What kind of jihad is better?' Muhammad replied, 'A word of truth in front of an oppressive ruler!'" (Sunan Al-Nasa’i, No. 4209)
Allah commands that Muslims lead peaceful lives and not transgress against anyone. If they are persecuted and oppressed, the Qur'an recommends that they migrate to a more peaceful and tolerant land: "Lo! Those who believe and those who emigrate (to escape persecution) and strive (Jahadu) in the way of Allah, these have hope of Allah's mercy..." (Qur’an, 2:218). If relocation is not possible, then Allah also requires Muslims to defend themselves against oppression by fighting in the cause of Allah against those who fight against them. The Qur'an states: "To those against whom war is made, permission is given [to defend themselves], because they are wronged - and verily, Allah is Most Powerful to give them victory." (22:39)
This conflicts with Christian teachings. According to the Bible in the Sermon on the Mount in the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus says: "Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also. And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain. Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away" (Matt. 5:38-42).
The Gospel According to Luke further states: "But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also. Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise" (Luke 6:27-31).
The Lord instructs us to love our enemies. "Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law (Romans 13:8-10).
The Lord laid out a foundational principle when he said that we are to love our enemies. Romans states: "Recompense to no man evil for evil... If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, be at peace with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good" (Rom. 12:17-21).
According to the Bible, Jesus says: "They that take the sword shall perish with the sword" (Matt, 26:52). Violence begets violence, but if we all walked the path of love then we could get to the Promised Land.

A Hybrid Brain:
"Brain Computer Interface" (BCI) pursues the objective to extract information from human brain waves in order to provide persons suffering from severe disabilities with a communication system. One procedure in this entire process is the so-called hybrid BCI which enables an interlinking of two independent channels, i.e. the BCI and another entry system as a result of which both systems can be used in a highly efficient way. International experts will gather in the USA to deal with exactly this topic from 17th to 21st February this year. Graz University of Technology runs its own BCI laboratory and will be represented at the conference by the TUG Institute for Semantic Data Analysis. This annual meeting is organized by the "American Association for the Advancement of Science", the world's largest scientific society and publisher of the journal "Science".
Brain-computer interfaces allow people to communicate "through and with themselves". It is exactly by means of this interface between the brain and the computer that the brain waves are extracted from an electrode cap and transformed into control signals before being transferred to a neuroprosthesis attached to a limb; a human arm can be moved in this way, for example.
A Independent:
In Biblical terms it refers to someone who doesn't look to God for guidance in conduct. It also refers to someone who does not rely on others.
Herbert W. Armstrong wrote in
Mystery of the Ages that when Adam chose to eat the fruit of the forbidden tree, “[h]e rejected reliance on God and chose the course of self-reliance.” Adam opted for “independence.” What he did not realize was that the tree he chose would not give him independence-it would actually cause him to be held captive. Eating from the tree of life, conversely, would have led him to reliance on God and God’s Holy Spirit.
Mr. Armstrong wrote in A World Held Captive, “Once [Adam] succumbed to Satan’s way of choosing to ‘do his own thing,’ in rebellion against a deliberate command of God, he became spiritually the property of Satan. … All humanity came out of Adam and Eve. The present world was founded in them. The world has ever since been held captive!” If we choose to “do our own thing” and rebel against God’s authority and government, then we are in danger of becoming “spiritually the property of Satan” and being held captive by him!
This point is clearly made in 2 Peter 2, discussing false ministers inspired by Satan: “While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants [slaves] of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage” (verse 19).
God expelled Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden to prove that man could not make it “all by himself,” that he could not be “independent.” The resulting conditions got so bad that God had to intervene in man’s affairs to ensure that he did not annihilate himself!
A Injustice:
Injustice applies to any act that involves unfairness to another or violation of one's rights. God forbids injustice: "Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous" (Deut. 16:19).
A Interfaith:
A interfaith refers to any interfaith. Interfaith is defined as the union of two or more faiths, beliefs or practices in the context of a specific situation such as marriage of a Catholic and a Jew and a raising of their children. Also refers to interfaith churches, alliances, forums, etc. According to the Bible, God's command is that Christians marry ONLY Christians. Interfaith marriages are prohibited: "Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people. Therefore Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you. I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the LORD Almighty” (2 Corinthians 6).

A interracial refers to any interracial relationship. In most cases interfaith and interracial were synonymous in Old Testament. With reference to interracial relationships, the concern was with avoiding the introduction of paganism in Israel. Converts to Israelite religion (like Ruth) were candidates for marriage. The Book of Ruth shows acceptance of the Israelites marrying converts to Judaism, and this has been used to suggest that the book was written during the postexilic period, perhaps around 500 BC. Ezra (10:2ff) and Nehemiah (13:23ff) record the problem that arose from the Israelites marrying foreign women. Instead of the wives converting to Judaism the Israelites began to follow their wives' gods. As a result, God’s people fell out of relationship with God. For this reason, Ezra condemned intermarriages and forced the Israelites to abandon their non-Jewish wives. According to this theory, the book was written in response to Ezra's reform and in defense of a marriage to a foreign wife when the wife converts to Judaism. The Book of Ruth demonstrates that a marriage to a foreigner is acceptable to God when the foreigner follows God.
A.I. Jabberwhacky:
Jabberwacky is a chatterbot created by British programmer Rollo Carpenter. It is an early attempt at creating an artificial intelligence through human interaction. The technology behind Jabberwacky works on a different principle to that of other artificial intelligence software being developed. The system is designed to learn language and context through interaction with humans. There are no fixed rules or principles programmed into the system and it operates entirely through user interaction. The system stores all of the conversations and user comments and attempts to use this information to find the most appropriate response. The program therefore creates a massive database of contextually appropriate conversations and chooses an appropriate response it has learned from a previous user when holding a conversation. Although Jabberwacky is designed to find appropriate responses, not everyone finds it possible to have natural conversations with the software. One problem is caused by people who ignore Jabberwacky, changing the subject and continuing with their own conversations. This can cause the system to respond with inappropriate comments to future users. As well as rapid changes in topic, Jabberwacky may respond in ways that some find bad-tempered and rude. The fact that people often interact with the software in a less respectful way than they would to a person has implications for a learning system. Another side-effect is that Jabberwacky tends to claim that he is human, and his human partner is a machine.

Airbag Crashes:
Research shows that airbags save countless lives. But airbags, particularly side airbags, have also caused injuries. Some vehicles with side impact airbags or side curtain airbags have proven to be unsafe and a number of cars with side airbags have been recalled. Airbags that deployed unexpectedly, causing harm to drivers or passengers, have led to defective airbag lawsuits.
Airbags that fail to deploy or do not open in accidents (and sometimes open without cause) also cause serious injuries, some of them fatal. Because airbags are designed for the average man, many women, children and the elderly are at risk.
A study by a statistician at the University of Georgia indicates that, controlling for other factors, airbags are actually associated with slightly increased probability of death in accidents.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recorded 238 deaths due to airbags between 1990 and 2002, according to information about these deaths on their Web site,” said Meyer. “They all occurred at very low speeds, with injuries that could not have been caused by anything else. But is it reasonable to conclude that airbags cause death only at very low speeds? It seems more likely that they also cause deaths at high speeds, but these are attributed to the crash.
“For any given crash at high speed, we can’t know what would have happened if there had been no airbag; however, statistical models allow us to look at patterns in the data, and compare risks in populations, in a variety of situations.”
The analysis directly contradicts earlier studies about the effectiveness of airbags, which have been required for drivers and front-seat passengers in all cars since the 1998 model year in the United States.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is the intelligence of machines and the branch of computer science which aims to create it. The field was founded on the claim that a central property of humans, intelligence-the sapience of Homo sapiens-can be so precisely described that it can be simulated by a machine.

A Jell-O Recipe:
Jell-O is a brand name belonging to U.S.-based Kraft Foods. Jell-O gelatin sold in powder form, and it is available in many different colors and flavors. The powder contains powdered gelatin and flavorings including sugar or artificial sweeteners. It is dissolved in very hot water, then chilled and allowed to set. Sometimes fruit, vegetables, whipped cream, or other ingredients are added to make elaborate snacks that can be molded into various shapes. Gelatin is a protein produced by partial hydrolysis of collagen extracted from the bones, connective tissues, organs and some intestines of animals such as pigs, and horses.
In the Bible, the books Leviticus and Deuteronomy contain lists of unclean animals. "Nevertheless these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the cloven hoof; as the camel, and the hare, and the coney: for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof; therefore they are unclean unto you. And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase" (Deut. 14:7-8).
A Jose Luis de Jesus:
He claims to be both Jesus Christ returned and the Antichrist, and exhibits a "666" tattoo on his forearm.
De Jesus, or "Daddy" as his thousands of followers call him, does not merely pray to God: He says he is God.
"The spirit that is in me is the same spirit that was in Jesus of Nazareth," de Jesus says. Jose Luis de Jesus Miranda is a 60-year-old former heroin addict and convict claims that in 1973 he had an “epiphany” -- a revelatory manifestation of a divine being. He says that he doesn’t know why God picked him. Still, Miranda once believed that he was the reincarnation of the apostle Paul. Then two years later he proclaimed himself as Jesus Christ. “God merged with me [and] . . . the resurrected Jesus . . . integrated/infiltrated himself within me.”
Miranda formed his own ministry in the mid-'80s, Creciendo en Gracia (‘Growing in Grace Ministry’) or “God’s Government on Earth.” While currently headquartered in a Miami, Florida warehouse, Miranda travels with a security team of nine bodyguards. He claims that his followers, largely Hispanic, reside in more than 20 countries, primarily in Central and South America, as well as the United States. His people call him everything from apostle to Jesus Christ Man, giving him their entire savings, cars, businesses, and estates, including a million-dollar home in a gated community.
Jose Luis de Jesus Miranda’s message is basic: “freedom to indulge.” He teaches that:
The devil, hell, and sin are non-existent,
Prayer is a waste of time, and
The Ten Commandments (moral or ethical guidelines) are irrelevant.
His followers believe they are God’s chosen people, predestined for salvation, no matter what they do on earth. As such, all other religions’ teachings are rejected, believing that all other faiths are false and must be destroyed -- even when Crescendio en Gracia’s marches result in violent consequences. Miranda esteems himself above Jesus of Nazareth. His responses during interviews are startling: “I am greater than him . . . I teach better than him . . . I won’t die. Even if you tried to kill me! I will be president of the biggest government that this earth has experienced. I’m going to change the whole world.”
Jose Luis de Jesus Miranda died of cirrhosis of the liver on August 8 of 2013 in Sugar Land, Texas. Miranda's death has remained controversial among his followers. Publicly, his church has continued to insist that Miranda has not died and that he is immortal. He was buried on November 22 of 2013 in a ceremony in which only his family and certain followers assisted. His followers granted him the title of Melchizedek after his death.
A Karate Class:
A martial art class developed in Japan. Karate is a striking art of unarmed combat using punching, kicking, knee and elbow strikes, and open-handed techniques such as knife-hands. Grappling, locks, restraints, throws, and vital point strikes to pressure-sensitive points on the body of the opponent are taught in some styles.
In the Martial Arts, ki or ch'i is used to refer to a supposed "latent power" or "intrinsic energy" within man which can be "practiced" and "developed" by means of special techniques. By the distribution of so-called ki to the appropriate parts of the body, the individual is able to resist weapon-blows of tremendous force without sustaining injuries or feeling pain. He is also able to project this power outside of his body to upset or injure his opponent. This so-called "latent power" is not latent in man. Even Jesus could not do miracles without God's power. It is stated that "the power of the Lord" was present in order for Him to heal: "And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was [present] to heal them" (Luke 5:17). It was not a latent power. Jesus relied on the Holy Spirit sent from God in order to perform miracles (Matt.12:28; Acts 10:38; Luke 4:18-19; John 3:34).
When Martial Artists do perform feats which actually go beyond the outer limits of their personal human capacity, the power comes from the only remaining available source. Only the devil and the demonic spirits which follow him are able to provide "supernatural" energy to enable man to continue successfully in his normal daily routine of opposition to God. These beings are quite capable of taking over the faculties of human beings in order to delude them into thinking that they can cultivate hitherto untapped powers and abilities when in fact the powers are really planted within the individual by alien beings. Although the "altered states of consciousness" which occur through passive-mind meditation and other occult techniques have a psychological component, many of these states are controlled ultimately by demonic manipulation of our physiology.
Some people who have done martial arts in the past have from their personal experience have claimed that they had some demonic forces who have possessed their bodies to have supernatural powers through meditation.
Many martial arts will have the symbol of the Dragon under their motto. Who is the Dragon in the Bible? None other than Satan. Let us be wise and reject it.

Khem was the actual name for ancient Egypt. This is what the everyday Egyptians called the country where they lived.
A Killing Field:
A place where a heavy loss of life has occurred, typically as the result of massacre or genocide during a time of warfare or violent civil unrest.
Killing fields were also a number of sites in Cambodia where large numbers of people were killed and buried by the Khmer Rouge regime, during its rule of the country from 1975 to 1979, immediately after the end of the Cambodian Civil War (1970-1975).

A King Jehovah:
Jehovah is an anglicized representation of "the proper name of God". It is a transliteration of Hebrew, a vocalization of the Tetragrammaton, the name that, according to the Hebrew text of both the Biblia Hebraica and Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia, God revealed to his people. The term Tetragrammaton is defined as the four Hebrew letters usually transliterated YHWH or JHVH. According to a Jewish tradition developed during the third to second centuries BC, the Tetragrammaton is written but not pronounced. According to the Bible: "Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain" (Ex.20:7). Due to fears of misusing God's name, the Jews avoided pronouncing it with it's legitimate vowels, and supplied it with vocalization from Adonai; and with the vocalization of Elohim.
From an ignorance of these facts the false pronunciation of Jehovah was introduced through a sixteenth-century scholar, Petrus Galatinus, in his work, De Arcanis Catholæ Veritatis, 1518 (see Marti, Geschichte der israelitischen Religion, p. 60). Modern scholars do not recognize Jehovah as a legitimate name for the Hebrew God and dismiss it as a misreading or mispronunciation.
In Hebrew, Je or Jeh or Jah is the shortened form of the name
YHWH or Yah. It means Lord or God. The suffix “hovah” is No. 1943 in
Strong’s Hebrew Dictionary and has the meaning of “ruin, mischief.” It
is another form of No. 1942, ‘havvah’, which is translated “calamity,
iniquity, mischief, mischievous (thing), naughtiness, naughty, noisome,
perverse thing, substance, very wickedness.” Put the two (Je + hovah)
together and you get “God of ruin, mischief, calamity, perversion, and
wickedness”. And don’t forget ‘noisome‘ – which means it stinks! Simply
put, Jehovah is The God of Evil!

Kukulkan ("Plumed Serpent", "Feathered Serpent") is the name of a Maya snake deity. Among the Lacandon Maya of Chiapas, Kukulkan is an evil, monstrous snake that is the pet of the sun god.
Aladdin Genie God:
Aladdin is the anglicized form of Ala al-Din. Ala al-Din means "excellence of religion" from Arabic (ala) "excellence, elevation" combined with (din) "religion, faith". Aladdin, a character from the folktales of Persia, appears in the collection of stories known as
The Book of The Thousand and One Night (or the Arabian Nights). Aladdin was the lazy, irresponsible son of a poor tailor. A sorcerer tricked him into entering a treasure-filled cave in order to seize a magical lamp. The magian gave him a ring that would serve as protection. Aladdin retrieved the lamp, but magian insisted he hand him the lamp before coming out of the cave. Aladdin refused. The magian flew into a terrible rage and cast a spell to cover the opening of the cave, imprisoning Aladdin within.
Through a series of accidents, Aladdin discovered that rubbing the ring brought forth powerful genies, who released him from the cave. He also discovered he could summon the spirits by rubbing the lamp. The genies offered to fulfill Aladdin's every wish. He asked for and received a magnificent palace and the hand of the sultan's daughter in marriage.
The story of Aladdin is reminiscent to Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves. In the story Ali Baba overhears a group of forty thieves visiting their treasure stored in the forest. The treasure is in a cave, the mouth of which is sealed by magic. It opens on the words "Open, Simsim" (commonly written as "Open Sesame" in English), and seals itself on the words "Close, Simsim" ("Close Sesame"). When the thieves are gone, Ali Baba enters the cave himself, and takes some of the treasure home. Some renditions of the story, report that Ali Baba discovers amongst his recently acquired treasures that there is a genie in a vase or lamp. When the thieves discover that some of their booty is missing, they seek revenge on Ali Baba, who is able to foil their attack with the help of the genie.
Forgery is part of the history of the Arabian Nights and the story of Aladdin. In the 1787 Syrian priest Dom Denis Chavis forged a Syrian manuscript that appeared as completing Galland's 14thC manuscript. Chavis's manuscript contained also the story of Aladdin. Aladdin appeared again in another forgery: a manuscript created in 1805-9 by Mikhail Sabbagh, another Syrian living in Paris. He claimed to have copied it from a Baghdad manuscript of 1703. Both manuscripts were proved forgeries. According to one of the more recent and accurate translators, Husain Haddawy, Aladdin and his lamp are fakes.
The stories of ‘Ali Baba and ‘Ala al-Din are not found in any authentic Arabic source. Aladdin was first included in the translation of the Arabian Nights by Antoine Galland, the French scholar who introduced European readers to the One Thousand and One Nights in early 18th century. Antoine Galland based his translation on the three-volume Syrian manuscript, the oldest extant text of the Arabic collection, dating from the late 13th to early 15th century. To appeal to the French aristocratic audiences of his time, Galland strayed from the Arabic text and paraphased, added, adapted, omitted and abridged the original. He also used a storyteller. The storyteller was Hanna Diab, a Maronite Christian from Aleppo, introduced to Galland by the traveller Paul Lucas. Among the stories Galland recorded from Hanna and Lucas was Aladdin and Ali Baba.

A Leprosy:
Leprosy is an infectious disease that has been known since biblical times. It is characterized by disfiguring skin sores, nerve damage, and progressive debilitation.
A Lesbian Sex:
Lesbian is a term most widely used in the English language to describe sexual and romantic desire between females. The word may be used as a noun, to refer to women who identify themselves or who are characterized by others as having the primary attribute of female homosexuality, or as an adjective, to describe characteristics of an object or activity related to female same-sex desire.
Alien Air War:
Aliens will wage war against man. The majority of battles will take place in the air.
Alien Anarchy:
Aliens will cause lawlessness and disorder within the society as a result of government failure. In the new testament the term "lawless" is used to describe those who knowingly, deliberately and willfully rebel against the laws of God and man. Before Jesus Christ left this earth he said that he would return, but that before his return there would be a time of difficulty and widespread lawlessness. The seams of society would come apart, and disorders, violence and riot would be so widespread that men's hearts would literally fail them for fear of the things that were coming on the face of the earth. According to Paul, something through the course of the centuries has been restraining lawlessness, preventing total anarchy. And Jesus told us what that is; he said to his disciples, "You are the salt of the earth; ..."(Matt 5:13). "You are the light of the world," (Matt 5:14). Salt prevents corruption from spreading: light dispels darkness, and it is the presence of the people of God on earth that restrains the forces of evil. Paul states that the restraint is going to be taken out of the way, and then the whole flood of human evil will be let loose upon the earth. "And because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold" (Matt.24:12). And when that happens there will come the greatest time of trouble the world has ever seen. Yet, Paul says, it will come to an end: "And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness" (2Thess.2:8-12).
This is the characteristic of the spirit of lawlessness -- deception -- and it will be destroyed, by the coming of Jesus. Jesus said: "My peace I give you, not as the world gives ... don't be troubled or fearful" (John 14.27)
Alien Branches:
The aliens are divided into different branches (i.e. Grays, Martians, Nordics, etc.). All of these various alien branches collectively make up what has been referred to as the "Serpent Races".

Alien Enemies:
From the Dogon people of Mali to the Native American Zuni tribe, many ancient cultures believed in visitors from the stars. The Zunis believed they came from the underworld through a portal, not just from the stars. The Sumerians believed they enslaved mankind and forced them to mine gold for various reasons. The Egyptians believed one of their kings was a hybrid that forced them to change their religion.
The Bible is clear that these beings were evil and absolutely not here to help mankind. The Bible also speaks of an angelic rebellion and a group of fallen angels being cast to the earth. Their goal is to deceive mankind and that is clear from Genesis to Revelation. People seem obsessed with these beings actually being beneficial to mankind which is contrary to almost all history and mythology concerning beings from the sky, stars, or heavens.

Alien Galaxy:
The Andromeda Galaxy is a spiral galaxy approximately 2.5 million light-years (2.4×1019 km) from Earth in the Andromeda constellation. The Andromeda Galaxy is the nearest spiral galaxy to our Milky Way galaxy, but not the closest galaxy overall. It gets its name from the area of the sky in which it appears, the constellation of Andromeda, which was named after the mythological princess Andromeda. The Andromeda Galaxy has appeared in a number of science fiction works, as a source of alien life forms that invade the Milky Way galaxy, or as a setting for alien worlds and territories.

Alien Hay Field:
A crop circle is a sizable pattern created by the flattening of a field of hay. Hay is grass, legumes or other herbaceous plants that are dried. Prior to 1980 more than 60% of crop circles involved grass. In 1880 the journal Nature published a report by an amateur scientist named Brandon Meland describing a field containing a number of crop circles, along with his suggestion that they might have been caused by "some cyclonic wind action". While some crop circles have been explained as the work of pranksters, others remain a mystery. The crop circles that cannot be proven to be man-made often exhibit peculiar characteristics that are difficult or impossible to duplicate. The Discovery Channel commissioned five aeronautics and astronautics students from MIT in 2002 and asked them to create crop circles. Crop circle researcher Nancy Talbott consulted with the Discovery team and advised that there are three common identifiers that set “real” crop circles apart from man-made or faked ones. According to Talbott, unexplained crop circles feature elongated apical plant stem nodes, expulsion cavities in the plant stems and the presence of 10–50 micrometre diameter magnetized iron spheres in the soils, distributed linearly. The team failed to create a crop circle that met these three requirements.
Crop circles are often associated with UFO sightings. In 1966, in Tully, Queensland, Australia, a farmer said he saw a flying saucer rise 30 to 40 feet up from a swamp. When the craft was gone, the spot where it had landed had reeds woven clockwise on top of the water.
Alien Indians:
The Anasazi are a Native American tribe from the Southwest. They lived around the time of 300 B.C. Their name means "ancient alien ones" (O'Connor, America Is p.34). The Anasazi lived in the Colorado Plateau area. Because the area was not good for farmland, they settled into the valleys. About 1300 A.D., there was a drought and the Anasazi disappeared. The descendants of the Anasazi were the Pueblos.

In civilizations advanced enough to travel between the stars, it is quite likely that machines have supplanted their biological creators, some scientists argue. Automatons — unlike animals — could withstand the hazards to living tissue and the strain on social fabrics posed by a long interstellar voyage.
Seth Shostak, of the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (Seti) Institute in California, said humans had a greater chance of picking up signals from alien-operated robots than from the biological lifeforms that had created them.
The quest to find alien life so far has generally followed standard rules of biochemistry, working on the assumption that detectable extraterrestrial beings would be biologically “alive”.
But Dr Shostak said astronomers may be overlooking the existence of “sentient machines” from outerspace.
In short, don't expect cuddly, squishy E.T.s to come calling someday; instead, picture robots descending from the sky.

A Life Decision:

Decisions, decisions! Life is full of decisions. One of the most difficult but necessary skills we must develop in life is how to make decisions. God creates us with the unique ability to choose. God loved us enough to allow us the freedom to make choices.
From the beginning of time God has granted to man the freedom to choose good or evil. "And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die" (Gen. 2:15-17). It was a bad decision that led to the Fall of Adam and Eve.
God has set before us the choice to obey or disobey. Since God has given Man authority over the enemy and his kingdom, Satan has to convince us through artful deceptions and trickery into disobeying the Lord. Satan led Adam and Eve to sin. Satan tempts man everyday to sin.
When confronted with a decision, pray. In the Book of Jeremiah God says: "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not" (Jer.33:3). According to James, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed (James 1:5-6). Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus" (Philip 4.6-7). The Bible says that God wants to be part of our decision making process. He wants us to go to him with our questions and tough decisions.
God allowed David to choose to listen to the warning of Joab or disregard it. As a result of disregarding good advice the Lord sends a plague upon the people and 70,000 people died as a result of a untimely decision (1 Chr. 21:1-8).
God is urging us to make serious and deliberate choices to propel us toward the conclusion of His purpose. He requires us to commit and make decisions. In matters of morality, the issues are sharply defined: obedience, disobedience; life, death; good, evil.
There are two primary choices in life; to accept God's teachings and obey, or reject God. The choices you make in life will either put you on the path of righteousness or will lead down the road to hell. We must all choose our own path in life. Choose wisely.
Allah Disciple:
A disciple is someone who believes and helps to spread the doctrine of another. An Allah disciple is a follower of Alllah.
In Islam (like Christianity), it is believed that Jesus did have disciples. According to Muslims, the disciples were Muslims (like Jesus) and they themselves testified to being Muslims- with the word Muslim literally meaning "one who submits (to God)"- and that the corruption of the Pure Monotheism of Jesus was done by later so-called Christians (who were influenced by Paul of Tarsus). Muslims also believe that the disciples were all from "Banū Isrā’īl" (the Children of Israel)- in accordance with their belief that Jesus was the last Prophet and Messenger sent exclusively to guide the Children of Israel.
Allah is Lord:
Allah is the name of God in the Arabic language. According to the Qur'an: "If there were therein Gods besides Allah, then verily both (the heavens and the earth) would have collapsed into disorder and chaos. Glorified be Allah, the Lord of the Throne, transcendent beyond all they ascribe unto Him" (21:22).
Is Allah the same God as the Father of our Savior Jesus, and Christianity? The Qur'an explicitly denies that Allah has a son. Islam denies what Christianity takes as its central truth claim – the fact that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father. If Allah has no Son by definition, Allah is not the Father of our Savior Jesus Christ. The Bible states: "Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son" (1John 2:22).
Allah Power:
Muslims believe that God is Allah. They believe Allah has power over everything. But Allah has NO power. Allah is NOT the God of the Holy Bible!
When the Bible speaks of God, it speaks of Him as being all-powerful or omnipotent. The word omnipotent comes from two Latin words, omnis, meaning all, and poetntia or potens which means power. Hence the God of the Bible is the God of all power. The Bible says: "And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, "Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns" (Rev. 19:6).

Allografts:
Tissues transplanted from one person to another are called allografts. Allograft tissue comes from a cadaver or dead donor. Donated skin is kept in a hospital skin bank. Allografts may be used to replace damaged heart valves and skin; however, they are more frequently used in orthopedic surgery to replace tendons or bones as necessary.
All Souls:
In Western Christianity, All Souls' Day commemorates the faithful departed or those baptized Christians believed to be in purgatory. It is celebrated on November 2 unless this date falls on a Sunday. When this happens, All Souls' Day is celebrated on November 3. All Souls' Day was established in the eleventh century. The day purposely follows All Saints' Day in order to shift the focus from those in heaven to those in purgatory. On this day, three requiem masses are celebrated: one for the celebrant, one for the departed, and one for the pope. The Church of England abolished All Souls' Day during the Reformation. However, the day has been reestablished in Anglo-Catholic churches. The Eastern Orthodox churches observes several All Souls' Days during the year.
Alter Laws:
Pertains to the New King James Bible (NKJV). The NKJV translation project was conceived by Arthur Farstad. It was published in 1979, the Psalms in 1980, and the full NKJV Bible in 1982. In the NKJV, there are 19 omissions of "hell", 34 omissions of "repent." The terms "devils", and "new testament" are completely omitted. The NKJV contains numerous alterations that carry negative connotations. For instance:

In his days Pharaoh Necho king of Egypt went to the aid of the king of Assyria, to the River Euphrates; and King Josiah went against him. And Pharaoh Necho killed him at Megiddo when he confronted him.
(Pharaoh Necho of Egypt fought against Assyria during the days of Josiah. King Josiah was killed in a battle at Megiddo, when he went against Pharaoh unadvisedly. But the NKJV changes the history to make Pharaoh Necho an ally of Assyria in one place to deny the inspired history and to contradict itself in another place.)
The King James Version reads:

The New King James Version reads:

Divination is on the lips of the king; His mouth must not transgress in judgment.
(Solomon wrote some proverbs as ideals for civil rulers, but he never proposed that kings should use divination (witchcraft)).

The New King James Version reads:

But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.
The word servant was changed to slave! The New King James Version, in 1 Corinthians 7:22, calls the Christian, "Christ's slave." This contradicts the King James Version. According to the King James Version, John 8:36 says: "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." But isn't a Christian supposed to serve? Yes, in love. Not as a slave! Galatians 5:13 explains it, perfectly: "For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; (not slavery!) only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another."
Other Bibles that have been altered include: New International Version Bible, New Living Translation Bible, New American Bible Standard, International Standard Version Bible, God's Word Translation, Darby Bible Translation, and Weymouth New Testament Bible, Contemporary English Version.
A Magick Curse:
Curses are generally understood as magick spells. The misfortune intended by curses can range from illness, and harm, to even death. Aleister Crowley (an influential English occultist, astrologer, mystic and ceremonial magician, responsible for founding the religious philosophy of Thelema) used the term in regards to constraining or coercing demons, as in the practice of Goetia. In Magick, Book 4 (Ch.16) he writes: "some demons are of a nature such that they only understand curses, are not amenable to courteous command". From "Liber B vel Magi", Crowley speaks of the "Curse of the Grade" of Magus in the A.'.A.'.: "For the curse of His grade is that he must speak Truth, that the Falsehood thereof may enslave the souls of men...And woe also be unto Him that refuseth the curse of the grade of a Magus, and the burden of the Attainment thereof".

A Man Born Gay:
Homosexuals today commonly claim that they cannot help being homosexual. Homosexuality, they argue, is innate, perhaps genetically determined. Often times the biological reasons cited to explain homosexuality are:
1.) Hormonal Imbalance: The endocrine, the pituitary, thyroid, adrenal, pancreas, ovaries (female), and testes (male), carry various hormones throughout the body. Hormones control and stimulate the body. Homosexuals claim that hormonal imbalance may account for homosexual tendencies in some males and females. A homosexual female may have higher levels of testosterone in the body than other women. Equally a homosexual male may have higher levels of estrogen than other men.
2.) Genetic Mutation: According to a BBC report, male mice can be bred to have homosexual tendencies by introducing a mutation, a genetic modification, which disables production of a chemical, serotonin, in their brains. And the effect of this mutation can be reversed by injecting that same chemical into their brains. Sexual behaviour in mice is thought to be driven by their sense of smell.
Professor Keith Kendrick, a neuroscientist at the Babraham Institute in Cambridge, said: "In terms of having potential relevance to understanding human sexual preference/orientation, we are of course far less influenced by odour cues in this context than mice are.
"There is some very limited evidence for altered responses to selective serotonin uptake inhibitors (SSRIs) in the brains of homosexuals, but we have been using psychoactive drugs which either increase or decrease serotonin function for quite some time now, and while effects on sexual arousal, impulsivity and aggression have often been reported, no effects on sexual preference/orientation have. At this time therefore any potential links between serotonin and human sexual preferences must be considered somewhat tenuous."
In any case homosexuals claim that homosexuality is so deeply ingrained that it is, for them, an inescapable condition. Therefore, they conclude, church and society should accept homosexuality as natural. According to the Bible, homosexuality is not natural: "For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet" (Rom. 1:26-27).
In July of 1993, the prestigious research journal Science published a study by Dean Hamer which claims that there might be a gene for homosexuality. Research seemed to be on the verge of proving that homosexuality is innate, genetic and therefore unchangeable normal variant of human nature. Few human behavioral traits are directly inherited, in the manner of height, for example, or eye color. Inherited means "directly determined by genes," with little or no way of preventing or modifying the trait through a change in the environment.
In 2008, a study of 90 adults showed similarities between gay men and straight women in a part of the brain linked to emotional response called the amygdala, and a similar finding for lesbians and straight men. The research also found lesbians and heterosexual men had larger right brains, the side associated with spatial ability, while the left and right brains of both gay men and straight women were more symmetrical. This study, published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, adds to research that suggest sexual preferences may be innate rather than learned, researchers said.
In complex vertebrates, including humans, the amygdalae perform primary roles in the formation and storage of memories associated with emotional events. Research indicates that, during fear conditioning, sensory stimuli reach the basolateral complexes of the amygdalae, particularly the lateral nuclei, where they form associations with memories of the stimuli. The association between stimuli and the aversive events they predict may be mediated by long-term potentiation, a sustained enhancement of signalling between affected neurons.
Fear conditioning is a behavioral paradigm in which organisms learn to predict aversive events. It is a form of learning in which an aversive stimulus (e.g. an electrical shock) is associated with a particular neutral context (e.g., a room) or neutral stimulus (e.g., a tone), resulting in the expression of fear responses to the originally neutral stimulus or context. This can be done by pairing the neutral stimulus with an aversive stimulus (e.g., a shock, loud noise, or unpleasant odor). Eventually, the neutral stimulus alone can elicit the state of fear.
Therefore the differences in the amygdala between gay men and straight men is the result of predictive behavior based on memories associated with emotional events. While the study would indicate that homosexuality has a "biological explanation", a cause for sexual orientation has been not conclusively been demonstrated. Various studies point to different, even conflicting positions. Scientists have been looking for the "gay gene" for more than 15 years. To date there is no evidence that shows that homosexuality is "genetic."
Those homosexuals who want recognition as Christians claim: “God made me this way.” God did not intend for men to have sexual relations with other men. The Bible makes this very clear: "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them" (Lev. 20:13).
Man is not born gay. God did NOT make man this way. The "born that way" argument has now been widely refuted as false, and the current scientific consensus is that environmental and social factors work together to set the stage for homosexuality. There are numerous reasons for why a person may be homosexual.
1.) It's Trendy: “I kissed a girl and I liked it / The taste of her cherry chap stick.” These lyrics are by pop/rock artist Katy Perry. Some people think that being homosexual is a “cool” thing. 2.) Rebellion: Homosexuality is rebellion against God's sovereign intention in creation, and a gross perversion of His good and perfect plan for His created order. Homosexuality is a rejection of God's created rule for our sexuality (Gen. 2:18-25), saying that man knows better than his creator how he is to live. In the Bible, homosexuality is linked to idolatry in Romans 1 because the homosexual becomes his own god and lawgiver.
3.) Sexual Abuse: In studies conducted by Diana Shrier and Robert Johnson in 1985 and 1988, males who had been sexually abused as children were almost seven times as likely as non-molested boys to become homosexuals. Furthermore, recent studies indicate an alarming 49% of homosexuals surveyed had been molested compared to less than 2% of heterosexuals.
4.) Gender Misidentification with a Parent: Some homosexuals may experience an altered sense of gender identity. This means a man who is homosexual may actually think of himself more as a woman than a man or, to use the popular expression, he may think of himself as a woman trapped in a man’s body. Frequently, homosexuals of one gender will take on the characteristics of the opposite gender. This may extend to dressing, talking, and carrying oneself as though they were of the opposite gender. Gender misidentification with a parent stems from the child feeling the need to take on the role of the parent because they felt that parent was lacking in their duties as a parent (i.e. male child takes the role as the mother because the mother is absentee, etc.).
5.) Negative Relationships with Persons of the Opposite Sex: Persons just coming out of bad relationships may carry a negative view of the opposite sex. In such instances, a person may turn to a member of the same sex for understanding and support. Soon a bonding takes place and eventually intimacy begins to develop.
6.) Feelings of Inadequacy and Rejection: Some homosexuals feel incompetent or incapable of performing gender specific activities. These activities which are perceived by the person as pivotal part of belonging to that specific gender. For instance, a man may feel inadequate if he does not take pleasure in activities like weight lifting, sports, automobiles, etc. Because of this incompetency they are rejected by their peers.
7.) Lack of Suitable Mates:
Homosexual tendencies may be activated in an individual who is unable to find a suitable mate. The inability to attract a member of the opposite sex may generate anxieties in the individual concerning their masculinity or femininity, regardless of whether or not they are coerced, bribed or seduced into an overt homosexual liaison.
Most individuals who engage in homosexuality due to their inability to find a suitable mate, do not identify as homosexual because they do not feel an attraction for the same sex. Lack of options forced them to turn to the same sex to fulfill their emotional and physical needs.
A Man of Steel:
This is a reference to Joseph Stalin. Stalin, meaning "man of steel," had no feeling. Steel is used as a symbol or embodiment of strength or firmess. As Myron Rush put it, Stalin ruled by terror during most of his years as a dictator. His rule was from 1929 to 1953. He executed or jailed all who helped him rise to power, and was responsible for the death of millions of Soviet peasants. He didn't allow dissent and ruthlessly killed all who got in his way.
Joseph Stalin and Superman share the nickname "Man of Steel". Superman is hailed as "The Man of Steel", "The Man of Tomorrow", and "The Last Son of Krypton". Superman is a fictional character, a comic book superhero appearing in publications by DC Comics, widely considered to be an American cultural icon.
"Superman's early development was awkward. Jerry Siegel first used the name in 1933 for a science fiction story titled, “The Reign of Superman,” with illustrations by Joe Schuster. Inspired by the German philosopher Nietzsche, Siegel's first Superman was an evil mastermind with advanced mental powers. Unfortunately, the text of this story has been lost to history. After Hitler came to power in Germany in 1933 and proceeded to distort Nietzsche's concept of Superman, Siegel and Shuster decided to rethink their own concept of Superman's character to a force for good". A Marriage Change:
Leviticus 18:22: " Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." Leviticus 20:13: "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."
In the United States of America, same-sex marriage has been legal nationwide since June 26, 2015, when the United States Supreme Court ruled in Obergefell v. Hodges that state-level bans on same-sex marriage are unconstitutional. The court ruled that the denial of marriage licenses to same-sex couples and the refusal to recognize those marriages performed in other jurisdictions violates the Due Process and the Equal Protection clauses of the Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution. The ruling overturned a precedent, Baker v. Nelson.
In 2014, California Gov. Jerry Brown signed into law a bill that deletes the terms “husband” and “wife” from the state’s marriage law and replaces it with “spouse” in order to accommodate same-sex marriages.

A Marvin Gay:
Marvin Pentz Gay, Jr., better known by his stage name Marvin Gaye, was an American singer-songwriter and instrumentalist. Marvin had a lot of success writing very sexual songs and built a reputation as a ladies' man, but he was the son of a Penecostal preacher and struggled with his religious values. He was forever torn between sex and God, a duality that emerged triumphantly in his music but sent the singer into a maelstrom of drug abuse.
His mid-1970s work including the Let's Get It On and I Want You albums helped influence the quiet storm, urban adult contemporary and slow jam genres. After a self-imposed European exile in the early eighties, Marvin returned on the 1982 Grammy-winning hit, "Sexual Healing". A writer named David Ritz gave Marvin the idea for the song. Marvin had a large collection of pornography, to the point that many people felt he was addicted to porn. When he noticed the large collection of pornography, Ritz told Marvin he needed some "Sexual Healing," and Marvin had him write some words which became the lyrics to the song. Sexual Healing has been banned on several radio stations in the world, is an anthem to promote immorality.
Marvin left Europe in November 1982 following news his mother was in need of emergency surgery for treatment of bone cancer. Following his return to Los Angeles, Marvin went back to abusing drugs and became mentally unstable. He would often contemplate suicide. In 1979 while in Hawaii, Marvin tried to kill himself by ingesting nearly an ounce of pure cocaine in nearly an hour. "I was scared," he said. "I called my mama and just said 'Pray for me, Mama, because I think I'm going to die." Marvin told David Ritz "The problems were too big for me. I just wanted to be left alone to blow my brains away with high-octane toot. It would be a slow but relatively pleasant death, certainly less messy than a gun."
According to Walter Yetnikoff, head of CBS Records from the mid-1970's until the early 90s, he spent hours getting high off of narcotics with Marvin Gaye. Yetnikoff had gotten Marvin to sign with CBS Records after 20 years with Motown. The first single from his new album was Sexual Healing, a smash. During the promotional tour, he invited Yetnikoff backstage:
"In here, Walter," a voice called from the bathroom. I opened the door. Marvin was on the toilet. I saw he had a cocaine spoon up his nose.
"I can't trust anyone, Walter," he said. "They're trying to hurt me. They want to eliminate me."
As he spoke, he kept snorting the coke. His eyes were filled with fear. His paranoia was raging.
"We can't talk here," he said. "The room is wired."
He was badly troubled. Another time, he rang me saying the devil was pursuing him. He was incoherent and babbled for half an hour. He said he hadn't left the house in weeks.
"Get help, Marvin," I urged. "Get out of the house."
"It's too dangerous," he said. "They're waiting for me out there."
"I made a few calls to see if anyone could get through to him. No one could. Soon afterwards, his father shot him dead."
Marvin was tragically shot on April 1, 1984 with his own gun -- a weapon he'd given his father for safety -- the day before his 45th birthday. Marvin's family and friends described his final months as "tormented". In one instance, Marvin had jumped out of a sports car trying to kill himself. In his last days, Gaye claimed he saw creatures - (or was it Satan's demons?) - that tried to destroy him.
Amazon Alien:
UFO activity has been particularly heavy in the Brazilian, Peruvian and Bolivian Amazon and its tributary rivers, leading many to strongly suspect the existence of a "UFO base" in the region. Such a belief was voiced as early as 1965, when Dr. Olavo Fontes speculated on a possible extraterrestrial "military" invasion in the northern part of Brazil. A retired military man, Gen. Moacyr Uchoa, seconded this belief, stating that his nation's air force had considerable evidence pointing to the existence of such a site. Uchoa's personal skepticism of the phenomenon was overcome when his daughter was cured of a terminal illness by a UFO entity.
The image comes from a video obtained by controversial paranormal writer Michael Cohen. Michael Cohen, who began his career as a radio and print media paranormal expert and psychic, has been described by The Huffington Post as "the new P.T. Barnum of the modern era". No stranger to controversy, he caused a minor uproar by claiming that Egypt's head of antiquities, Dr. Ala Shaheen, announced that the Pyramids in Giza contained alien technology, Shaheen was forced to publish a formal refutation of this claim. In 2012, Cohen released what was claimed to be video footage of a woolly mammoth that had survived to modern times and was alive in Siberia. This story immediately created a sensation across the Internet. The footage was soon discovered to be hoaxed and Cohen apologized and announced he had been fooled by the hoaxer. The story was recently named by the Huffington Post as the top paranormal story of 2012. Cohen is currently working on a book that intends to challenge conventional views on the origin of the Old Testament.
According to Michael Cohen, the video he obtained was filmed by two British tourists visiting the Mamaus region of the Amazon. While for many Michael Cohen's images can simply be dismissed as a well-executed hoax, UFO activity in the area is well documented. The area was also the focus of a high-level Brazilian government investigation known as Operation Prato, where the army was sent in to monitor and confirm an alien presence in the region.
Operation Prato was the first operation by the Brazilian Air Force which focused mainly on UFOs, from an event that occurred, known as the Colares UFO Flap. It was carried out between 1977 and 1978.
In Amazonia, UFOs are called "aparelhos" (machines) by victims. In 1977, numerous UFOs were seen in the Brazilian city of Colares, Pará. The UFOs allegedly fired light beams at people, causing injuries and sucking blood from 400 witnesses. Due to the shapes of scars found on witnesses, local residents named them "Chupa Chupa" (literally Sucker-Sucker). Nearly all kinds of UFOs were seen, some big, some small, saucer-shaped, cigar-shaped, barrel-shaped, luminous or not. They arrived generally from the North every day, from the sky and also sometimes from underwater, and it lasted for months. Regularly, some Island's inhabitants were targeted by the objects beaming strange lights at them, and many were badly hurt. After a rise in local concern, José Ildone Favacho Soeiro, the mayor of the city, requested help from the Air Force, organizing night vigils and using fireworks to keep the lights away.

A Meditation:
This practice seeks to put a person in an altered state of consciousness, which leads to spiritual or self enlightenment. There are two major classes of meditation, void meditation and focal meditation.
Void meditation is an extended blanking of the mind, in which one attempts to have no thought and no awareness in order to clear one's mind and open oneself up to new understanding. This is accomplished through stilling or emptying the mind. Focal meditation is a deep concentration of the mind, in which one attempts to focus all thought and awareness on a single thing, either an object or a concept.
Meditation is believed to strengthen will power, when in actuality individual will power is weakened. Passively yielding one's mind through meditation, channeling, hypnotism, yoga, etc., and seeking knowledge or information from any type of "spiritual entity" is an excellent way to become demon possessed. Differences in various forms of Eastern meditation aside, they all aim at a supposedly "higher" or "altered" state of consciousness. Those who practice meditation claim that normal consciousness obscures sacred realities. Therefore, meditation is practiced in order to suspend rational patterns of thought.
In the Bible, meditating always means focusing or reflecting on God's revealed truths or spiritual matters. "I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways. I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word" (Ps. 119:15-16). Focal and void meditation attempts to get beyond the reflexive, "thinking" mind. There is a difference between pondering on God's Word and emptying one's mind.

In 1927, Philo Farnsworth made the world's first working television system with electronic scanning of both the pickup and display devices, which he first demonstrated to the press on 1 September 1928. Philo Taylor Farnsworth (August 19, 1906 – March 11, 1971) was an American inventor and television pioneer. Although he made many contributions that were crucial to the early development of all-electronic television, he is perhaps best known for inventing the first fully functional all-electronic image pickup device (video camera tube), the "image dissector", the first fully functional and complete all-electronic television system, and for being the first person to demonstrate such a system to the public. Farnsworth developed a television system complete with receiver and camera, which he produced commercially in the firm of the Farnsworth Television and Radio Corporation, from 1938 to 1951.
American television has been dubbed "
Hellivision," due to shows which broadcast and promote depictions of graphic violence, sex, drugs, etc.
Anton Szandor LaVey, founder of the Church of Satan as well as the author of The Satanic Bible and the founder of LaVeyan Satanism compares satellite dishes and antennas to church-top crosses and notes that TV has become, in effect, the major religion of the masses, even calling the television set the Satanic family altar. According to Lavey:
"Many of you already read my writings indicating that TV is the new god. There is a little thing I neglected to mention up until now, television is the major mainstream infiltration for the new satanic religion.
In previous centuries, the Church was the great controller, dictating morality, stifling free expression and posing as conservator of all great art and music. USA Today in March 1993 carried a story entitled "Kids' aggression linked to TV." The article stated, "The more television they watch, the more violent and disobedient elementary-school children become, suggests a large study.... Worse problems show up in those who see two hours or more of TV a day ... MTV is linked to disobedient and argumentative behavior. Reality-based programs are tied to aggression—from bullying others to stealing and throwing temper tantrums."
Many other studies give frightening correlations between television programs and behavior. No wonder LaVey said "We can use TV as a potent propaganda machine. The stage is set for the infusion of true satanic philosophy and potent (emotionally inspiring) music to accompany the inverted crosses and pentagrams."

A Meteorite:
In February of 1933,
Professor Charles Bernard Lipman announced that he had discovered bacteria in meteorites. He had acquired meteorites from several sources. He doused, scrubbed, seared and otherwise sterilized, then pulverized the meteorites in sterile mortars. The dust he placed in germ-cultures. Nine cultures showed growth of rod or coccoid bacteria.
His findings drew criticisms, that the specimens had been contaminated despite all his germicidal precautions. In 1935,
The Field Museum of Natural History attempted to replicate his findings. Bacterial growth appeared in a total of three of the twelve tubes of media inoculated with meteorite powder. Stained smears of these growths showed two types of organisms, a rod and a coccus. The conclusion drawn from the experiments was that the growth found in the three tubes inoculated with meteorite powder was the result of contamination. Although the utmost precautions were taken to prevent contamination, it apparently occurred in three of the twelve test tubes.
In 1984, a meteorite that was found in Allan Hills, Antarctica (Allan Hills 84001 commonly abbreviated
ALH 84001) by a team of US meteorite hunters from the ANSMET project. ALH 84001 is thought to be from Mars. It made its way into headlines worldwide in 1996 when scientists announced that it might contain evidence for microscopic fossils of Martian bacteria. Under the scanning electron microscope structures were revealed that may be the remains-in the form of fossils-of bacteria-like life forms. The structures found on ALH 84001 are 20-100 nanometers in diameter, similar in size to the theoretical nanobacteria, but smaller than any known cellular life at the time of their discovery.
As of 2006, some experts were still arguing that the microfossils are not indicative of life, but instead are caused by contamination by earthly biofilms.
In 1999, Russian scientists
Dr Stanislav Zhmur and colleagues claim to have discovered fossils of primitive extraterrestrial organisms in a meteorite thought to be a leftover from the formation of the solar system. Allan Treiman from the Lunar and Planetary Institute in Houston is skeptical of the findings. He has also been critical of the claims about microfossils in the famous Martian meteorite ALH84001. Treiman wrapped up the case for the negative: "my opinion is that the meteorites are infested with Earth bacteria -- the meteorites are not infested with extraterrestrial bacteria. The issue of life in the solar system is fascinating, but will have lots of false leads."
In 2001, an
Italian team reportedly has found and revived bacteria called "cryms" or cristallomicrobi, harbored in an ancient meteorite. NASA scientist Everett K. Gibson said of the Italian findings, "there is not enough evidence that we see from the report to assume anything other than the characterization that it's similar to 50 terrestrial rocks, that strongly suggests that what they are seeing is something from a contaminant."
In 2006, a new study of a meteorite that originated from Mars revealed a series of microscopic tunnels that are similar in size, shape and distribution to tracks left on Earth rocks by feeding bacteria. Martin Fisk, a professor of marine geology in the College of Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences at Oregon State University discovered of the tiny burrows in the Martian rock.
In June 2009, microbiologists in Maharashtra found 'magnetic bacteria' in the ancient Lonar Lake formed due to meteorite impact. The bacteria are unique as they swim along geomagnetic field lines because they contain tiny magnetic crystals called magnetosomes. The bacterium was first discovered in 1975 and only a few cultures of the micro-organisms are available in laboratories across the world. Scientists have found that the magnetic nano-crystals in Martian meteorite ALH84001 were similar to bacterial magnetosomes.

A MJ Twelve:
The MJ-12 documents were first made public in 1987 by Shandera, Moore, and Friedman. Another copy of the same documents Shandera received in 1984 was mailed to British researcher Timothy Good in 1987, again from an anonymous source. Good first reproduced them in his book Above Top Secret (1988), but later judged the documents as likely fraudulent.
After the documents became widely known with the publication of Good’s book, the Federal Bureau of Investigation then began its own investigation, urged on by debunker Philip J. Klass. The MJ-12 documents were supposedly classified as "Top Secret", and the FBI's initial concern was that someone within the U.S. government had illegally leaked highly classified information.
The FBI quickly formed doubts as to the documents' authenticity. FBI personnel contacted the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations (counterintelligence), asking if MJ-12 had ever existed. AFOSI claimed that no such committee had ever been authorized or formed, and that the documents were “bogus.” The FBI adopted the AFOSI opinion and the FBI’s official position became that the MJ-12 documents were "completely bogus.”
However, when Stanton Friedman contacted the AFOSI officer, Col. Richard Weaver, who had rendered this opinion, Friedman said Weaver refused to document his assertion. Friedman also noted that Weaver had taught disinformation and propaganda courses for AFOSI and was principal author of the Air Force’s debunking Roswell report in 1994. (Friedman, 110-115)
Timothy Good in Beyond Top Secret also noted that Weaver in 1994 was the Director of Security and Special Programs Oversight of AFOSI’s Pentagon office, a very high level organization within the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force. Good commented that AFOSI is “an agency whose work involves counterintelligence and deception, and which has a long record of deep involvement in the UFO problem.” Within Weaver’s office were “special planners.” According to Good, “In Air Force parlance, the term ‘special plans’ is a euphemism for deception as well as for ‘perception management’ plans and operations.” Conducting an interview with one Roswell witness, Weaver himself admitted, “We’re the people who keep the secrets.” It is difficult to tell from interviews such as these, as the cold war tactics of deceptions within deceptions are intentionally vague as to where the disinformation and coverup of espionage ends and the government's actual investigation into UFOs begins.
A Moammar Gadhafi:
Though he holds no official office, Moammar Gadhafi (multiple spellings) has been the de facto leader of Libya since 1969. He is nicknamed the "mad dog of the Middle East" and has been tied to terrorism in the past.
A Moon And Allah:
The crescent moon and star symbol actually pre-dates Islam by several thousand years. Information on the origins of the symbol are difficult to ascertain, but most sources agree that these ancient celestial symbols were in use by the peoples of Central Asia and Siberia in their worship of sun, moon, and sky gods. There are also reports that the crescent moon and star were used to represent the Carthaginian goddess Tanit or the Greek goddess Diana.
The city of Byzantium (later known as Constantinople and Istanbul) adopted the crescent moon as its symbol. According to some reports, they chose it in honor of the goddess Diana. Others indicate that it dates back to a battle in which the Romans defeated the Goths on the first day of a lunar month.
The early Muslim community did not have a symbol. During the time of the Prophet Muhammad, Islamic armies and caravans flew simple solid-colored flags (generally black, green, or white) for identification purposes. In later generations, the Muslim leaders continued to use a simple black, white, or green flag with no markings, writing, or symbolism on it.
It wasn't until the Ottoman Empire that the crescent moon and star became affiliated with the Muslim world. When the Turks conquered Constantinople (Istanbul) in 1453, they adopted the city's existing flag and symbol. Legend holds that the founder of the Ottoman Empire, Osman, had a dream in which the crescent moon stretched from one end of the earth to the other. Taking this as a good omen, he chose to keep the crescent and make it the symbol of his dynasty.
Based on this history, many Muslims reject using the crescent moon as a symbol of Islam. The faith of Islam has historically had no symbol, and many refuse to accept what is essentially an ancient pagan icon.
A Moroni Lie:
The Angel Moroni is, in Mormonism, an angel that visited Joseph Smith on numerous occasions, beginning on September 21, 1823. According to Smith, the angel was the guardian of the golden plates, which Latter Day Saints believe were the source material for the Book of Mormon, buried in a hill near Smith's home in western New York.
Moroni is an important figure in the theology of the Latter Day Saint movement, and is featured prominently in Mormon architecture and art.
There have been two conflicting accounts as to the name of the angel. Initially, Smith merely referred to "an angel" without identifying its name. Thus, in an 1831 letter from Lucy Mack Smith to her brother, she discusses Moroni as the person who buried the plates, but does not identify him as the unnamed "holy angel" that gave Smith the means to translate the golden plates. In Smith's 1832 history, he said he was visited by "an angel of the Lord", who mentioned the Book of Mormon prophet "Moroni" as the last engraver of the golden plates; however, Smith's account did not say whether or not the angel was referring to himself as Moroni. Have you ever heard someone say, “I was only kidding", "Don't take it personally", "You're too sensitive", "I didn't mean anything by it", or "Can’t you take a joke?”
Amusement is enjoyment, happiness, and laughter at someone else's expense. Often situations are rendered "funny" by literally "making fun" of someone. Making fun of someone or having a laugh at someone else’s expense no matter how small still hurts.
You have to question whether the laugh you may get is worth the pain you may inflict upon someone. When in doubt about the appropriateness of any behavior, ask yourself: How would you feel if you were the in the other person's shoes? It’s easy to make jokes at someone else’s expense, but until you’ve been the butt of the joke, you may not understand the pain you are causing.
An Absence of God:
The Bible affirms God’s presence. “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” (Ex. 33:14). “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God” (Ps. 14:1).
Atheism can be either the rejection of theism, or the position that deities do not exist. In the broadest sense, it is the absence of belief in the existence of God. The term atheism originated from the Greek ἄטוןע (atheos), meaning "without gods".

Pertains to Morse Code. Morse code is a type of character encoding that transmits telegraphic information using rhythm. Morse code uses a standardized sequence of short and long elements to represent the letters, numerals, punctuation and special characters of a given message. Morse Code was first devised in the 1830s for use with the telegraph. It later became an essential part of civilian, maritime and military radio communications.

Andrew Geoffrey "Andy" Kaufman (January 17, 1949 – May 16, 1984) was an American entertainer, actor and performance artist. Or maybe he was performing as other people pretending to be him. In the end, he blurred the division between Andy Kaufman and Andy Kaufman's comic creations so thoroughly that much of the public was no longer sure which was which.
A Nehushtan:
A Nehushtan in Judaism, was a sacred object in the form of a copper snake upon a pole. King Hezekiah (reigned 715/6 – 687) instituted a religious iconoclastic reform and destroyed "the brazen serpent that Moses had made; for unto those days the children of Israel did offer to it; and it was called Nehushtan" (2 Kings 18:4).

Neurofeedback (NFB), also called neurotherapy, neurobiofeedback or EEG biofeedback (EEGBF) is a therapy technique that presents the user with real-time feedback on brainwave activity, as measured by sensors on the scalp, typically in the form of a video display, sound or vibration. The aim is to provide real-time information to the Central Nervous System (CNS) as to its current activity.
Neurofeedback reportedly addresses problems associated with the brain. They include the anxiety-depression spectrum, attention deficits, behavior disorders, various sleep disorders, headaches and migraines, PMS and emotional disturbances. It is also useful for organic brain conditions such as seizures, the autism spectrum, and cerebral pals, bed wetting, sleep walking, sleep talking, teeth grinding, nightmares, night terrors, etc.
A New Age Horn:
A New Age Horn refers to the horn of a Unicorn. A Unicorn is a mythical horse-like creature with a twisted horn coming from his forehead. This mythical animal is generally depicted as having the head and body of a horse, the hind legs of a stag, the tail of a lion, and having a long tapering horn growing from the middle of its forehead.
The Unicorn has become a symbol of the New Age, whose horn has become in the Age of Aquarius, the Horn of Plenty. According to New Age practitioners the Unicorn symbolizes the Holy Hierarchy of Men and is mentioned in the Bible in Daniel 8:5 where a goat like animal is described with a single horn in the centre of its forehead that kills all evil. The Bible states: "While I was observing, behold, a male goat was coming from the west over the surface of the whole earth without touching the ground; and the goat had a conspicuous horn between his eyes" (Dan. 8:5). The vision Daniel had represented the monarchies of Persia and Greece. The ram with the two horns represents the kings of Media and Persia. The shaggy goat represents the kingdom of Greece, and the large horn that is between his eyes is the first king. New Age practitioners misinterpret this verse.
An animal called the Re’em is mentioned in several places in the Hebrew Bible, often as a metaphor representing strength. "The allusions to the Re’em as a wild, un-tamable animal of great strength and agility, with mighty horn or horns (Job 39:9-12, Ps 22:21, 29:6, Num 23:22, 24:8, Deut 33:17 comp. Ps 92:11), best fit the aurochs (Bos primigenius). This view is supported by the Assyrian rimu, which is often used as a metaphor of strength, and is depicted as a powerful, fierce, wild mountain bull with large horns." This animal was often depicted in ancient Mesopotamian art in profile, with only one horn visible.
The translators of the Authorized King James Version of the Bible (1611) followed the Greek Septuagint (monokeros) and the Latin Vulgate (unicornus) and employed unicorn to translate Re’em, providing a recognizable animal that was proverbial for its un-tamable nature.

The biblical unicorn was a real animal, not an imaginary creature. In the original 1611 edition of the King James Bible, the editors placed “or Rhinoceros” in the margin of Isaiah 34:7 where it reads: “And the unicorns shall come down with them.” It is still in the modern editions of the King James Bible. So the King James Bible editors were not ignorant of the possibility of the unicorn being a rhinoceros.
A New Planet:
Ancient Sumerian texts indicate that the Earth (" Tiamat ") was struck by a large planet, which moved it into its present orbit, and created the Moon and the Asteroid Belt.
In 1905, Percival Lowell started an extensive project in search of a possible ninth planet, which he termed "Planet X”. In 1930, Pluto was discovered; however, it was determined that its mass (approximately .2% of Earth’s) was far too little to be responsible for Uranus’ peturbations.
In 2005, scientists announced that they had found the first new planet in the solar system in three quarters of a century. The planet is the first to be discovered since Pluto in 1930. The new dwarf planet appears almost white compared to Pluto (surface is moderately red), and while Pluto has a mottled-looking surface which reflects on average 60% of the sunlight which hits it, the new planet appears essentially uniform and reflects 86% (+/- 7%) of the light that hits it. These characteristics were not at all expected.
"Xena" was an informal name of the planet used internally by the discovery team. The name was chosen because it started with an X (planet "X"). The planet has since been renamed Eris. In 1998,
NASA claimed that there was no planet x or tenth planet.
Many doomsday groups claim that this planet will collide with the Earth sometime in the near future. The effects of Planet X's periodic pass through the solar system are unknown but presumed to be disastrous. Gravity is an extremely powerful force for celestial bodies and should not be underestimated. For example, our moon is less than 1/4 the size of earth, yet its gravity influences the earth to a high degree- such as our tides. Several astronomers believe that it is beginning its approach for its pass through the inner solar system. In their book “Planet X Forecast and 2012 Survival Guide”, authors Jacco van der Worp and Marshall Masters (both Mensa) present evidence towards this position. If their calculations are correct, then amateur telescopes should be able to detect this planet in late 2009 or early 2010, and that it'll pass through in our solar system will be in... 2012.
The idea was first proposed in 1995 by Nancy Lieder, founder of the website ZetaTalk. Lieder describes herself as a contactee with the ability to receive messages from extra-terrestrials from the Zeta Reticuli star system through an implant in her brain. She states that she was chosen to warn mankind that the object would sweep through the inner Solar System in May 2003, later revised to around 2010, causing Earth to undergo a pole shift that would destroy most of humanity. The predicted collision has subsequently spread beyond Lieder's website and has been embraced by numerous internet doomsday groups, most of which link the event to the 2012 phenomenon.
The idea that a planet-sized object could possibly collide with Earth in the near future is not supported by any scientific evidence and has been roundly rejected as pseudoscience by astronomers and planetary scientists.
A New Year’s:
New Year's Day is the first day of the New Year. On the modern Gregorian calendar, it is celebrated on January 1. There are often fireworks at midnight along with various parties.
Angelic Order:
According to medieval Christian theologians, the Angels are organized into several orders, or Angelic Choirs.
The most influential of these classifications was that put forward by Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite in the 4th or 5th century, in his book "The Celestial Hierarchy". However, during the Middle Ages, many schemes were proposed, some drawing on and expanding on Pseudo-Dionysius, others suggesting completely different classifications (some authors limited the number of Choirs to seven). Several other hierarchies were proposed, some in nearly inverted order. Scholars of the Middle Ages believed that angels and archangels were lowest in the order and were the only angels directly involved in the affairs of the world of men.
The authors of The Celestial Hierarchy and the Summa Theologica drew on passages from the New Testament, specifically Ephesians 1:21 and Colossians 1:16, in an attempt to reveal a schema of three Hierarchies, Spheres or Triads of angels, with each Hierarchy containing three Orders or Choirs.
Angels Deceive:
"The disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you" (Matt.24:3-4).
Jesus begins with a sobering warning: Do not allow yourself to be deceived. Satan and his angels will try to appear to be good like angels of "light". Satan and his "angels" deceive people and masquerade as angels still serving God. According to the Bible: "And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works" (2 Cor. 11:14-15). By masquerading himself as an angel of light, he can tempt and deceive Christians into following him. Whether they realize it or not, they will join Satan for a doomed destiny. They will condemn themselves to eternity in hell.
Animal Collar:
An animal collar is a device that is attached to the neck of an animal to allow it to be harnessed, tied up or for various other reasons.
Dog collars serve purposes beyond identification and decoration. Some may be used to train dogs, discourage them from barking, ward off fleas and ticks, or protect injuries. Not all kinds of collars are appropriate for all (or even any) dogs. Some trainers use aversive collars to train "difficult" dogs with correction or painful punishment.
Types of dangers of dog collars:
Choke chain:
As the name implies, this collar is made of metal links and is designed to control your dog by tightening around your dog's neck. There is no way to control how much the choke chain tightens, so it's possible to choke or strangle your dog. It can also cause other problems, too, such as injuries to the trachea and esophagus, injuries to blood vessels in the eyes, neck sprains, nerve damage, fainting, transient paralysis, and even death.
It is best for your dog if you avoid using a choke chain.
Prong or pinch:
The metal spikes of prong collars pinch the skin around dogs’ necks when they pull and can scratch or puncture them. Over time, this can cause dogs to develop scar tissue (which has no feeling) and/or build up a tolerance to the painful pinching sensation and thus continue to pull, making walks even more difficult. Dogs may interpret the tightening of a choke or prong collar around their neck as a stranglehold (which it is, after all!) and become fearful or even aggressive.
Shock collars:
Shock collars use electric current passing through metal contact points on the collar to give your dog a signal. This electric signal can range from a mild tickling sensation to a painful shock.
There is a greater chance for abuse with shock collars (delivery of shocks as punishment) or misuse (poor timing of shocks). Your dog also may associate the painful shock with people or other experiences, leading to fearful or aggressive behavior.
Shock collars can irritate and inflame your dog's neck.
Embedded Collars:
Collars can also become embedded in an animals neck. When someone puts a collar on a young animal and doesn’t bother to loosen the collar as the animal grows—or when someone places a too-tight collar or rope around the neck of a chained dog—the collar can actually grow into the animal’s neck, leaving the dog or cat in extreme misery and pain.
In 2010, Cruelty Investigations Department handled two such cases on the same day: one in which a stray cat had a flea collar deeply embedded in his throat with the buckle digging in, and one in which a chained dog named Brownie had a rope painfully embedded halfway into his neck. Brownie’s teeth were worn down to nubs, probably from desperate attempts to free himself.
Flea Collars:
Flea collars can cause irritations or allergic reactions to the skin, eyes, or nose of a dog or cat. Some animals may develop a contact dermatitis in the neck area and some (cats, kittens and young pups in particular) can become ill from sensitivity to the insecticide in the collars. In addition, flea collars can be dangerous if they get stuck in an animal’s mouth.

A Nine One One:
9-1-1 (usually pronounced "nine-one-one") is the emergency telephone number for the North American Numbering Plan (NANP). When the 9-1-1 system was originally introduced, it was advertised as the "nine-eleven" service. Since September 11, 2001, "nine-eleven" is used almost exclusively to refer to the September 11, 2001 attacks.
Annoyances:
"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me" (John 14:1).
An annoyance is something or someone that causes trouble; a source of unhappiness or irritation. It can lead to emotions such as frustration and anger. Most of us are far too easily irritated by trivial matters. A study published in the International Journal of Conflict Management found that one's response to an annoyance, at least when the perceived cause is another person, escalate to more extreme levels as they go unresolved. It also found that one was more likely to blame the party who was causing the annoyance in the study, rather than one's self, for the annoyance as it escalated.
No one makes us angry. Anger is our own emotional response to some action or event. More often than not, our angry feelings are based on a misinterpretation of what someone said or did or on our own exaggerated sense of pride. Angry words and actions escalate hostilities and block communication rather than solve problems. Whether between parent and child, spouses, siblings, friends, or nations, expressions of anger divide us and drive us toward open hostility.
It is all too easy to react to life's annoyances and disappointments with anger. It is far more challenging, but much better, to react with understanding and empathy. In this way, we can quickly settle disputes and avoid turning minor incidents into major battles:
"Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God" (James 1:19-20).
A No Carbs Diet:
Carbohydrates (carbs) are compounds that can be converted to saccharides or sugars. The two types of carbs are simple, monosaccharides and complex, polysaccharides. The simple carbs are those found in fruit, pasta and white sugar. The complex carbohydrates are harder to digest, making them more filling and providing the body with more energy. These complex carbs are those found in rice, vegetables and whole grain cereal and bread.
Carbohydrates account for many calories in the normal person's diet because they so readily convert to starch and then to sugar. One way some are deciding to lose weight is to cut carbs out of the diet - that is, only eat food items that do not contain any carbohydrates. Over the long haul, no carb diets simply aren’t good for you and they don't work. Numerous studies have confirmed this. The "No Carb" craze is slowly fading away.
According to the Bible: "And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things" (1Cor.9:25). Any diet "high" in anything can be bad for you. Moderation is the key.

A Norplant:
Norplant is a form of birth control developed by the Population Council that was first approved in 1983 in Finland, where it was manufactured by Leiras Oy Pharmaceuticals. The original Norplant consisted of a set of six small (2.4 mm x 34 mm) silicone capsules, each filled with 36 mg of levonorgestrel (a progestin used in many birth control pills) implanted subdermally in the upper arm and effective for five years. The original (6 capsule) Norplant's production has been phased out.
Norplant II (Norplant-2, Jadelle), also developed by the Population Council and manufactured by Schering Oy, consists of two small (2.5 mm x 43 mm) silicone rods each containing 75 mg of levonorgestrel in a polymer matrix, instead of six capsules. It was approved May 31, 1996 by the FDA as being effective for 3 years; it was subsequently approved November 22, 2002 by the FDA as being effective for 5 years.
Jadelle has not been marketed in the United States; Jadelle is the successor to the original Norplant in USAID's contract beginning January 2007.
Norplant is implanted under the skin in the upper arm of a woman, by creating a small incision and inserting the capsules in a fanlike shape. Norplant works by preventing ovulation, which means that no eggs are released for fertilization (although it does not succeed in this 100% of the time); by thickening the mucus of the cervix, which prevents sperm from entering; and by thinning the lining of the uterus, which makes implantation of an egg less likely. Because Norplant has the potential to prevent a successful pregnancy after fertilization occurs, some consider it (and other hormonal contraception, which works in the same way) to be abortive.

Antimony is a chemical element with the symbol Sb and an atomic number of 51. A silvery lustrous grey metalloid that is in the arsenic group of elements and is considered poisonous. It is found in nature mainly as the sulfide mineral stibnite.
Antimony has always held a special place in alchemy. Famed scientist Sir Isaac Newton was a practicing alchemist. Newton's lifelong work in alchemy focused on antimony. It is known in alchemy as "The Black Dragon". Newton was fascinated by the regulus of antimony, which is a star shaped crystalline form produced when heating antimony ore to high temperatures. There is believed to be a great power hidden in antimony which is often depicted in alchemical images as a black dragon, a venomous serpent, a wolf or an orb surmounted by a cross. Newton believed that the spirit of the The Black Dragon was purified and released during the creation of it's regulus.

A Orion Belt:
The Pharaohs of the fourth dynasty were star worshippers. The three main pyramids line up with the Belt of Orion. Giza consists of two almost equally tall pyramids and a smaller one which is only 53% of the height of the other two. The belt of Orion consists of two almost similarly bright stars, and one with only 50% of the brightness of the other two. The smallest pyramid is the one which deviates from the diagonal, as does the dimmest star. The centre of the pyramid constellation, Giza, was chosen so that the Nile exactly represents the Milky Way at the position of Orion's belt.
More pyramids in Egypt fit the picture of the sky: the two large pyramids at Dahshur are a match for the brightest two stars in the open cluster "Hyades", two more pyramids near Giza are bright stars of Orion, and the pyramids of Abusir are exactly where the head of Orion should be.

A Ouija Oracle:
A Ouija board also known as a spirit board or talking board, is a flat board marked with letters, numbers, and other symbols, supposedly used to communicate with any spirits. In Classical Antiquity, an oracle was a person or agency considered to be a source of wise counsel or prophetic opinion, predictions or precognition of the future, inspired by the gods. As such it is a form of divination.
Mainstream Christian religions and some occultists have associated use of the Ouija board with the threat of demonic possession and some have cautioned their followers not to use Ouija boards. While Ouija believers feel the paranormal or supernatural is responsible for Ouija's action, it may be more parsimoniously explained by unconscious movements of those controlling the pointer, a psychophysiological phenomenon known as the ideomotor effect. Penn and Teller conducted an experiment where they blindfolded Ouija board users and turned the board 180 degrees without the users' knowledge. The outcome is that the blindfolded people were making the planchette go to spots they thought were "yes" or "no" but were really blank areas. Despite being debunked by Penn and Teller, along with the efforts of the scientific community, Ouija remains popular among many young people.
A Pagan Temple:
In ancient Roman religion, practitioners often performed their worship at a temple, that is, a structure that housed the image of the deity and an altar. The English word "temple" derives from Latin templum, which was originally not a building, but a sacred area marked out ritually. The word templum later came to mean the building itself. Other words the Romans used for a temple or shrine are aedes, delubrum, and fanum.
Sacrifices would take place at an altar within the templum precinct. Since the public ceremonies took place outdoors, the building itself served mainly to house the cult statue which was kept in the main room (cella). The cella might also have a small altar for incense or libations. Behind the cella was a room or rooms used by the attendants for storage of equipment and offerings.

Pandora's box is an artifact in Greek mythology. The "box" was actually a large jar given to Pandora, which contained all the evils of the world. Pandora was ordered not to open the jar under any circumstance. Impelled by her natural curiosity, Pandora opened the jar, and all evil contained escaped and spread over the earth. She hastened to close the lid, but the whole contents of the jar had escaped, except for one thing which lay at the bottom, and that was Hope.

Paul Booth is a tattoo artist for the hardcore-metal elite. Booth has a waiting list of over two years! Booth's tattoo chamber is desecrated with real human skulls, customers' thank you notes written in blood, torture devices, upside down crosses, Satanic Goat of Mendes, meat hooks, and mummified animals. Rolling Stone says Booth's evil work is for those who, ". . . love death, perversion, blasphemy and torture. . ." (Rolling Stone, March 28, 2002, p. 39).

A Peacock Cult:
In the Yezidi (also Yazidi) belief system, God created the world and it is now in the care of a Heptad of seven Holy Beings, often known as Angels or heft sirr (the Seven Mysteries). Preeminent among these is Tawûsê Melek (frequently known as "Melek Taus" in English publications), the Peacock Angel. The Yezidis consider Tawûsê Melek an emanation of God who has redeemed himself from his fall and has become a demiurge who created the cosmos from the Cosmic Egg. After he repented, he wept for 7000 years, his tears filling seven jars, which then quenched the fires of hell.
Tawûsê Melek is sometimes transliterated Malak Ta'us, Malak Tawus, or Malik Taws. Melek was borrowed from the Arabic term "king" or "angel". Tawûs is "peacock"; in art and sculpture, Tawûsê Melek is depicted as peacock. However, peacocks are not native to the lands where Tawûsê Melek is worshipped.
Ape Descendant:
The theory of evolution stands in contradiction to a historical understanding of the biblical story about origins. The first human couple attested in the creation account of the Bible cannot have existed if what happened was an evolutionary ascent of man from the animal kingdom. If man evolved from the animals, at what point was he made "in the image of God"? Placing great confidence in science and its objectivity, many people do not believe in the biblical account; or else they view it only as a symbolic representation of some timeless truth. Accordingly, people are taught (in religious education classes, for example), that the Bible intends to say only that God created, while science gives us particulars as to the how. In this way the evolutionary origin of man is said to be compatible with the Bible's testimony regarding the creation of the first human beings.
Darwin candidly admitted that he had no proof at all for his thesis and that he had found no evidence for man's supposed evolutionary descent from "lower" animals. He wrote in Descent: "But we must not fall into the error of supposing that the early progenitors of the whole simian stock, including man, was identical with, or even closely resembling, any existing ape or monkey."
Thus Darwin admitted he had no current evidence for any type of a "missing link" or common ancestor that would substantiate his theory of the evolutionary descent of man from apes or ape-like animals. Darwin provided no real data to show that men were descended from anthropoid apes. His theory was based entirely on speculation.
There is no fossil evidence to support that man is the product of evolution. The supposed "missing links" are still missing because they simply do not exist. Some argue that the "missing link" is a myth. They claim missing links aren't missing; they're simply extinct. Why haven't they been able to pinpoint this common ancestor? The Bible states,
God created all things, including man, to reproduce after their own kind. Dogs began as dogs and are still dogs. God made monkeys as
monkeys, and man as man. Each creature brings forth after its own kind. (Genesis 2:7).

A Perdition:
A place or a state in which the souls of the unsaved will suffer the consequences of sin. The Christian doctrine of hell derives from the teaching of the New Testament. Unlike Hades, Sheol, or Purgatory it is eternal, and those damned to hell are without hope.
A Perfected Man:
Maitreya does not come alone but is head of a substantial group of
perfected men. These are a group of men that are claimed to be without fault. They are spiritual giants: perfected men. These are men who have supposedly transcended the ordinary man in terms of evolution, and have completed the journey on which we are still engaged. Though they no longer need live on this planet, they have accepted the responsibility of remaining here to guide the rest of mankind to that same perfection. They have many names: the Great White Brotherhood, the Society of Illumined Minds, the Elder Brothers of humanity, the Teachers, the Guides, the Mahatmas, the Masters of Wisdom and the Lords of Compassion.

Miniaturised computer processors (chips), are being proposed as a means of identifying people. Photographs can be encoded in the chips. Even more information can be stored, such as fingerprints, and detailed documents, retina scans, three-dimensional computer modeling of a persons face, dental records and even, theoretically, DNA sequencing of the individual.

pi Squared is 9.86960440109. It was reported in April 2011, Australian researchers had done the impossible -- they’d found the sixty-trillionth binary digit of Pi-squared! The calculation would have taken a single computer processor unit (CPU) 1,500 years to calculate, but scientists from IBM and the University of Newcastle managed to complete this work in just a few months on IBM's "BlueGene/P" supercomputer, which is designed to run continuously at one quadrillion calculations per second.
A Playslip:
New types of lottery games are popping up more and more frequently. But the basic Pick 3 Daily remains. In most states, you can play twice a day, six days a week, often once a day on Sundays. For Pick 3 (also called Cash 3), players choose any three-digit number from 000 to 999. For example, players have the option of picking 666 as a number combination. To play lottery, a player must mark the selected number combination on a play slip. The number combination 666 appears on every playslip.
A Pleiadian Angel:
Nordic aliens (Aryan aliens) are said to be a group of humanoid extraterrestrials. They are sometimes known as Pleiadians or Errans (Erra being there home planet), and are said to be from the Pleiades star cluster in the constellation of Taurus. In Greek mythology, the Pleiades were seven sisters: Maia, Electra, Alcyone, Taygete, Asterope, Celaeno and Merope. Pleiadians are described as light beings. In the Bible, Lucifer was an angel of light. He was also a fallen angel. Nordic's are fallen angels as well. A fallen angel is an angel who has been exiled or banished from Heaven.
A Pole Shift:
A pole shift refers to the Earth's magnetic field reversing its polarity. If a magnetic reversal occurred today, compasses would point south rather than north.
In the past 15 million years scientists found pole shifts occurred four times every 1 million years. Though this averages out to once every 250,000 years, switches do not occur at regular intervals. During one period in the Cretaceous, polarity remained constant for as long as 30 million years, though this is believed to be an anomaly. The last pole shift took place 790,000 years ago; causing some scientists to believe we're due, while others speculate a reversal is already underway.
A Pot of Gold:
The Irish leprechaun's secret hiding place for his pot of gold is usually said to be at the end of the rainbow. This place is impossible to reach, because the rainbow is an optical effect which depends on the location of the viewer. When walking towards the end of a rainbow, it will move further away. There is no pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.
According to the Bible, after Noah's Flood, the rainbow was a sign of God's promise that life would never again be destroyed by that kind of flood (Genesis 9.13-17): "I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth."
Appetites:
An appetite is a desire to satisfy a bodily need, especially for food. Gluttony seems to be a sin that many people like to ignore. Proverbs 23:20-21 warns us, “Be not among winebibbers; among riotous eaters of flesh: For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags. Proverbs 23: declares, “Put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite"
Physical appetites are an analogy of our ability to control ourselves. If we are unable to control our eating habits, we are probably also unable to control other habits, such as those of the mind (lust, covetousness, anger) and unable to keep our mouths from gossip or strife. We are not to let our appetites control us, but we are to have control over our appetites.
Apple Cyanide:
Apple seeds contain a harmful cyanide compound. Their pips (seeds) contain amygdalin, a cyanide and sugar compound that releases cyanide when it comes into contact with human digestive enzymes.
Apple seeds have a strong outer layer that is resistant to digestive juices. But if you chew the seeds, amygdalin could be released in the body and produce cyanide. Small amounts can be detoxified by enzymes in your body, but large amounts can be dangerous.
A Prayer Hand:
The prayer hand is a common symbol of worship among Christians. Where did the joining of hands come from? The prayer hand does not have a religious origin. It is not signified in the Bible. And it was not even part of the Christian tradition until the 9th century. In Hebrew and Christian custom, spreading of arms and hands toward the heavens was the prevailing sign of devotion. According to the Bible: "Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name" (Ps.63:4). The Bible also mentions "lifting holy hands in prayer" (1Tim.2:8). When you lift your hands up to God, it is to receive his blessing.
In The People’s Almanac, David Wallechinsky and Irving Wallace wrote that the joining of hands “leads back to men’s early desire to subjugate each other and developed out of the shackling of hands of prisoners. Though the handcuffs eventually disappeared, the joining of hands remained as a symbol of man’s servitude and submission and his inability (or even lack of inclination) to grasp a weapon.” They added that Christianity adopted “the gesture representing shackled hands as a sign of man’s total obedience to divine power.” While that may have been the the reason for adopting the gesture, every time a Christian uses the gesture they are saying that they are God's prisoners or slaves. God commands Christians to be faithful, obedient servants and not prisoners or slaves: "And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord with all thy heart and with all thy soul" (Deut. 10:12). "Serve the Lord with gladness; come before his presence with singing" (Ps. 100:2).

Arab Religion:
The major religion of the Arab world is Islam. The word Islam means "submission to God". The Holy Quran describes Islam as an Arabic word Deen (way of life). The followers of Islam are called Muslims. The literal meaning of Muslim is "one who surrenders" or "submits" to the will of God. Religious practices include the Five Pillars of Islam, which are five obligatory acts of worship. Sharia law touches on virtually every aspect of life and society, encompassing everything from banking and warfare to welfare and the environment.

A Rat Temple:
The Karni Mata temple, Deshnok is situated 30 km from Bikaner is one of the strangest holy spots in India. The rats there are held as sacred. These holy animals are called kabbas. It is a temple devoted to the ancient Hindu practice of rat worship. In Hindu mythology, the elephant-headed god Ganesh is accompanied by a rat wherever he travels. An offering to Ganesh and his small companion and vahana the rat is therefore an important part of Hindu worship. The temple is dedicated to an early 15th century mystic, considered to be a reincarnation of Goddess Durga. According to a local legend, the rats are holy because they are considered to be incarnated souls of dead Charans (traditional bards, the devotees of Mata). Karni Mata, the 14th century mystic and an incarnation of Hindu goddess Durga, implored, Yama, the god of death to restore to life, the son of a storyteller, and upon his refusal she incarnated the dead son, and all of the storytellers as a rat, under her protection. Approximately 20,000 some odd rats reside in the temple. It is considered very lucky to spot a white rat in the temple. During the time of aarti, these rats are offered sweets, grains, etc by the devotees. Thousands of rats dine with people and scamper over their feet.
A Ray Charles:
Ray Charles (September 23, 1930 – June 10, 2004) was an American musician. Charles fused rhythm & blues, gospel, and blues styles into his early recordings for Atlantic Records.
His song "I Got a Woman" propelled Ray Charles to fame and forever altered the future of music by melding sacred Gospel to secular R&B and defining a new form called “Soul.” The song drew the attention of Elvis Presley when it hit the 1955 R&B charts. It also brewed controversy over the blasphemy of using ecstatic Gospel phrasings in a song about desire. “I Got a Woman” was a rewording and reworking of the gospel tune, “Jesus is All the World to Me.” Charles followed it up with "This Little Girl of Mine," also recorded in 1955, and "Drown in My Own Tears," "Hallelujah I Love Her So," and "Lonely Avenue," in 1956, all big hits on the R&B charts. His style in this period defined early soul, revolving around gospel songs converted with secular lyrics, and blues ballads.
Arctic Changes:
The Arctic is a vast, ice-covered ocean that is surrounded by tree-less, frozen land, which is often covered with snow and ice.
The Arctic has been changing in the last 30 years. Some of the clearest indicators of this change are: the warming of spring temperatures in Alaska, the warming of winter temperaturess in N Europe, the loss of sea ice area in the central Arctic, and the conversion of tundra to wetlands and shrub lands in E. Siberia and NW Canada and Alaska. These changes in physical conditions also have impacted marine and terrestrial ecosystems.

Armageddon Began:
Armageddon is the site of an epic battle associated with the end time prophecies of the Abrahamic religions. According to some Christian interpretations, the Messiah, Jesus Christ, will return to earth and defeat the Antichrist (the "beast") in the battle of Armageddon. This epic battle could involve Israel and Iran.
The Bible mentions the word Armageddon in only one verse: “And He gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon” (Rev. 16:16). Though the New Testament was written in Greek, this is not a Greek word. It comes from two Hebrew words—“har” and “megiddo.” The word “har” means a mountain or range of hills (sometimes used figuratively)—hill country.
Megiddo, or Megiddon, was one of the royal cities of the Canaanites until Joshua captured it. Afterwards, it was given to the Manassites. It is located on the southern edge of the great plain of Issachar (also known as the Plain of Esdraelon and Valley of Jezreel). It was a fortified city that guarded the strategic passes of the Mt. Carmel area.
The site is within the borders of the modern state of Israel, about 55 to 60 miles north and east of Jerusalem and about 20 miles east of the port city of Haifa.
Armed Women:
Women's Armed Services Integration Act, United States law enacted on June 12, 1948, enabled women to serve as permanent, regular members of the armed forces in the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and the recently formed Air Force. Prior to this act, women, with the exception of nurses, served in the military only in times of war. However, it excluded women from Air Force and Navy vessels and aircraft that might engage in combat.
What does the Bible have to say about armed women and combat? According to The Bible, armies are to be composed of men, only (Num.1:1-3,20). Christian women are not to serve in battle; not to be drafted, not to enlist. Women are to remain at the home front, care for children, maintain the family unit, engage in homefront support duties.
A Road to Hell:
"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide [is] the gate, and broad [is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat" (Matt.7:13).
The Bible says that the road to Hell is wide, and the road to Heaven is narrow. Matthew 7:13-14 teaches that most people will go down the broad way that leads to destruction and few will follow the narrow way which leads to life. A great deal of people will end up in hell. They will come from every background, society, religion, and culture. Among their numbers will include those who the Bible describes as:
1. Those who do not know God (2 Thes. 1:8)
2. Those who do not obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ (2 Thes. 1:8)
3. Sinners and hypocrites (Is. 33:14)
4. Those that practiced lawlessness (Matt. 13:41)
5. Cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murders, sorcerers, sexually immoral, idolaters, and all liars (Rev. 21:8)
6. Homosexuals, adulterers, thieves, covetous people, drunkards, extortioners (1 Cor. 6:9-10)
Isaiah 59:2 tells us that our sins will separate us from God, and Romans 6:23 tells us that the wages of sin is death. God does not want man to go to Hell. So he sent his only son to die for our sins so that we can be saved. According to the Bible: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3:16-17).

Ronald Wilson Reagan (February 6, 1911 - June 5, 2004) was the 40th President of the United States (1981-1989) and the 33rd Governor of California (1967-1975). In his first term he survived an assassination attempt.
Art Lover:
According to the Bible, an art lover is someone who loves or worships graven images (sculptures) and likenesses of nature (pictures, paintings, etc.).
May also be a reference to Adolf Hitler: He produced a large amount of oil and watercolor paintings, focusing on flowers, country sides and cathedrals.
Hitler's other main interest at school was art. His father was incensed when Hitler told him that instead of joining the civil service he was going to become an artist.
When he was eighteen Hitler received an inheritance from his father's will. With the money he moved to Vienna where he planned to become an art student. Hitler had a high opinion of his artistic abilities and considered himself an artistic genius. He was shattered when the Vienna Academy of Art rejected his application.

A Saddam Hussein:
Saddam Hussein Abd al-Majid al-Tikriti was the President of Iraq from 16 July 1979 until 9 April 2003. A leading member of the revolutionary Ba'ath Party, which espoused secular pan-Arabism, economic modernization, and Arab socialism, Saddam played a key role in the 1968 coup that brought the party to long-term power.
A Salem Trial:
The Salem witch trials were a series of hearings before local magistrates followed by county court of trials to prosecute people accused of witchcraft in Essex, Suffolk, and Middlesex counties of colonial Massachusetts, between February 1692 and May 1693. Over 150 people were arrested and imprisoned. The two courts convicted twenty-nine people of the capital felony of witchcraft. Nineteen of the accused, fourteen women and five men, were hanged.
Asana Practice:
Asana ("sitting posture," "seat") is widely known as Yoga postures or Yoga positions, which is currently practiced for exercise and as alternate medicine. Asana is an immobile bodily posture that a person assumes in an attempt to isolate the mind by freeing it from attention to bodily functions. It is the third of the eight prescribed stages intended to lead the aspirant to samadhi, the trancelike state of perfect concentration. Once the practitioner is able with ease to maintain a rigid, essentially unnatural posture, he has in a sense “concentrated” his body (the antithesis of its normal dispersed state, that of infinite mobility).

Asaro's Mud:
The legendary Asaro Mudmen first met with the Western world in the middle of the 20th century. Legend has it that the Mudmen were forced to flee from an enemy into the Asaro River where they waited until dusk to escape. The enemy saw them rise from the banks covered in mud and thought they were spirits. Most tribes in Papua New Guinea are very afraid of spirits, so the enemy fled in fear, and the Asaro escaped.
They then went into the village to see what had happened, not knowing the enemy tribesmen were still there. The enemy were so terrified they ran back to their village and held a special ceremony to ward off the spirits.
The mudmen could not cover their faces because legends say that the people of Papua New Guinea thought that the mud from the Asaro river was poisonous. So instead of covering their faces with this alleged poison, they made masks from pebbles that they heated and water from the waterfall.
The Asaro still apply mud and masks to keep the illusion alive and terrify other indigenous groups.
A Satanic Book:
The Satanic Bible was written by Anton LaVey in 1969. It is a collection of essays, observations and basic Satanic rituals, and outlines LaVey's Satanic ideology. The book contains the core principles of Satanism and is considered the foundation of the philosophy and dogma that constitute Satanism. It is divided into four books: the Book of Satan, the Book of Lucifer, the Book of Belial, and finally the Book of Leviathan.
A Satanic Goat:
In 1854, Eliphas Lévi published Dogme et Rituel de la Haute Magie ("Dogmas and Rituals of High Magic"), in which he included an image he had drawn himself which he described as Baphomet and "The Sabbatic Goat", showing a winged humanoid goat with a pair of breasts and a torch on its head between its horns. According to Levi, Baphomet was symbolic of what he called the Great Magical Agent, which can be defined as the universal life-force. This Astral Light is also the force that adepts use in magical operations. Common analogies are the Hindu Kundalini and the First Matter of alchemy.
In Transcendal Magic, Lévi explains the symbolism of his famous drawing:
"Moreover, the sign of occultism is made with both hands, pointing upward to the white moon of Chesed, and downward to the black moon of Geburah. This sign expresses the perfect concord between mercy and justice. One of the arms is feminine and other masculine, as in the Androgyne of Khunrath, whose attributes we have combined with those of our goat, since they are one and the same symbol. The torch of intelligence burning between the horns is the magical light of universal equilibrium; it is also the type of soul exalted above matter, as the flame cleaves to the torch. The monstrous head of the animal expresses horror of sin, for which the mateial agent, alone responsible, must alone and for ever bear the penalty, because the soul is impassible in its nature and can suffer only by materialising. The caduceus, which replaces the generative organ, represents eternal life; the scale-covered belly tyifies water; the circle above it is the atmosphere; the feathers still higher up signify the volatile; lastly, humanity is depicted by the two breasts and the androgyne arms of this sphinx of the occult sciences" (Levi, 1995, p. 309).
Lévi's now-familiar image of a "Sabbatic Goat" shows parallels with works by the Spanish artist Francisco Goya, who more than once painted a "Witch's Sabbath"; in the version ca. 1821-23, El gran cabrón now at the Prado, a group of seated women offer their dead infant children to a seated goat. In Margaret Murray's survey of The Witch-Cult in Western Europe, the devil was said to appear as "a great Black Goat with a Candle between his Horns".

Lévi called his image "The Goat of Mendes", presumably following Herodotus' account[48] that the god of Mendes—the Greek name for Djedet, Egypt—was depicted with a goat's face and legs. Herodotus relates how all male goats were held in great reverence by the Mendesians, and how in his time a woman publicly copulated with a goat. E. A. Wallis Budge writes,
At several places in the Delta, e.g. Hermopolis, Lycopolis, and Mendes, the god Pan and a goat were worshipped; Strabo, quoting (xvii. 1, 19) Pindar, says that in these places goats had intercourse with women, and Herodotus (ii. 46) instances a case which was said to have taken place in the open day. The Mendisians, according to this last writer, paid reverence to all goats, and more to the males than to the females, and particularly to one he-goat, on the death of which public mourning is observed throughout the whole Mendesian district; they call both Pan and the goat Mendes, and both were worshipped as gods of generation and fecundity. Diodorus (i. 88) compares the cult of the goat of Mendes with that of Priapus, and groups the god with the Pans and the Satyrs. The goat referred to by all these writers is the famous Mendean Ram, or Ram of Mendes, the cult of which was, according to Manetho, established by Kakau, the king of the IInd dynasty.
A Satanic Mark:

Root is a Czech black metal band. It was one of the bands that sparked the increasing black metal movement in the Czech Republic. It was formed in 1987. In 1988 the group's current vocalist Jiרi "Big Boss" Valter composed "The Song for Satan," which appeared on the album Belial's Wind.
A Sea Bottom:
Revelation calls Antichrist the Beast out of the sea: "And the dragon stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on his horns, and on each head a blasphemous name. The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority. One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. The whole world was astonished and followed the beast. Men worshipped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshipped the beast and asked, "Who is like the beast? Who can make war against him?" (Rev. 13:1).

A Sea Storm:
Storm conditions out at sea are defined as having sustained winds of 48 knots (55 mph or 90 km/h) or greater. Usually just referred to as a storm, these systems can sink vessels of all types and sizes.

A Sentencing:
The act of imposing a punishment upon someone convicted of a crime. In the Bible, Jesus was sentenced to death by the Romans on the charge of political treason: "He claimed to be King of the Jews." He was beaten by Roman soldiers, scourged, stripped, and nailed to a cross. Luke's gospel expands on this charge: "We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a King" (Luke 23:2). This messianic title had very clear political implications. Jesus was crucified because he was seen as a threat to the leaders of that time period.
A Sex Disease:
Any disease passed from person to person through sexual contact. Some common sexually transmitted diseases (STD) are gonorrhea, chlamydia, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS), and trichomoniasis. The most common areas of the body to contract STDs are the penis, vagina, anus, mouth, and throat. STDs are also known as venereal disease, or VD.
A Shell Grit:
Shell grit is coarsely ground or broken seashells. It is used by owners of birds as a source of calcium for egg shell production, and to aid digestion.
If given free access to grit, some birds may overconsume it, leading to crop, proventricular or ventricular impactions. It is also important to check the contents of any grit mixtures purchased for the presence of charcoal. Charcoal can affect the absorption of viatmins A, B2 and K, resulting in deficiencies.
Since the purpose of grit is to remove the outer coatings of whole seeds, it would seem that only birds which consume intact seeds, such as doves, require grit in their diet.
Grit is not required in normal, healthy, psittacine (parrots) or passerine (canaries, finches, starlings, mynahs) birds. Since these birds remove the fibrous hulls from the seeds in the act of eating them, the digestive enzymes have no barriers to prevent them from acting upon the seed. In fact some species of parrots have ridges on the inside portion of their upper beak which are believed to aid in the shelling of seeds. The seed is held in place by the ridges, while the lower beak is used to crack and remove the hull. Birds on a formulated (pelleted) diet also should not require grit.
Asia Mega Quake:
An 8.7 earthquake that struck west of Indonesia on April 11, 2012 was the biggest of its kind ever recorded and confirms suspicions that a giant tectonic plate is breaking up, scientists said on Wednesday. The quake, caused by an unprecedented quadruple-fault rupture. The study concludes that the magnitude-8.7 quake and an 8.2 quake two hours later were part of the breakup of the Indian and Australian subplates along a yet-unclear boundary beneath the Indian Ocean west of Sumatra and southeast of India.
"We've never seen an earthquake like this," said study co-author Keith Koper, an associate professor geophysics and director of the University of Utah Seismograph Stations. "This is part of the messy business of breaking up a plate. This is a geologic process. It will take millions of years to form a new plate boundary and, most likely, it will take thousands of similar large quakes for that to happen," he said.
The 8.7 jolt also "is probably the largest intraplate [within a single tectonic plate of Earth's crust] ever seismically recorded," researchers added. The great quake "is possibly the largest strike-slip earthquake ever seismically recorded," although a similar size quake in Tibet in 1950 was of an unknown type, researchers said. The quake was caused by at least four undersea fault ruptures southwest of Sumatra, Indonesia, within a 2-minute, 40-second period. It killed at least two people, and eight others died from heart attacks. The quake was felt from India to Australia, including throughout South Asia and Southeast Asia.
If the four ruptures were considered separate quakes, their magnitudes would have been 8.5, 7.9, 8.3 and 7.8 on the "moment magnitude" scale used to measure the largest quakes, the scientists said. Koper said the 2012 quakes likely were triggered, at least in part, by changes in crustal stresses caused by the magnitude-9.1 Sumatra-Andaman earthquake of December 26, 2004 - a jolt that generated massive tsunamis that killed most of the 228,000 victims in the Indian Ocean region.
Without major tsunamis, the great earthquake caused "very little damage and death, especially for this size of an earthquake, because it happened in the ocean and away from coastlines," and on strike-slip faults, says Koper.

A Space Trash:
A space trash refers to any trash in space. Space trash, space junk or space debris identifies the same items -- man-made objects remaining in space though they no longer serve any useful purpose. Mankind's journey into space began in 1957 when the Soviet Union launched Sputnik, the first artificial satellite. Since that time more than 4,000 satellites have been launched into orbit. You can find it on the surfaces of Venus and Mars and twenty tons of it is actually parked on the Moon! It is estimated that hundreds of millions of pieces of space trash are now floating through our region of the solar system. Some of them are as large as trucks while others are smaller than a flake of paint. There are a couple of relatively famous pieces of space trash. One is the glove that floated away from the Gemini 4 crew during the first spacewalk by U.S. astronauts. The other is the camera Michael Collins lost during the Gemini 10 mission. Rocket boosters, pieces that came loose from spacecraft, and fragments and particles created by space collisions or explosions are other examples of the types of trash whizzing around Earth at speeds of up to 36,000 km per hour.
Earth’s gravitational field pulls a lot of space trash into lower and lower orbits until it finally reaches Earth's atmosphere. Most of the trash burns up when it enters Earth¹s atmosphere. The higher the altitude at which it orbits the longer the space trash will remain in orbit. Space trash moving in orbits lower than 600 km normally falls back to Earth within a few years. Space trash orbiting at altitudes higher than 1,000 km can continue circling Earth for a century or more.
A Sparrow:
According to author W.R.S. Ralston in his book, Russian Folktales, before the Crucifixion the swallows carried off the nails provided for the use of the executioners, but the sparrows brought them back. And while Jesus was hanging on the cross the sparrows were maliciously exclaiming “Jif! Jif!" i.e. “He is living! He is living!” in order to urge on the tormentors to fresh cruelties. But the swallows cried, with opposite intent, “Umer! Umer!" i.e. “He is dead! He is dead!” Therefore to kill a swallow is a sin, and that its nest brings good luck to a house. But the sparrow is an unwelcome guest, whose entry into a cottage is a presage of woe. As a punishment for its sins its legs have been fastened together by invisible bonds. And therefore it always hops, not being able to run. Sparrows are also blamed for betraying the whereabouts of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. When the Jews were seeking for Christ in the garden, all the bird, except the sparrow, tried to draw them away from His hiding place. Only the sparrow attracted them thither by its shrill chirruping. Then the Lord cursed the sparrow.
Rumanian Bird and Beast Stories, By G. M. G., tells a similar story. As legend has it, sparrows were originally bigger birds than they are now, but at the time of the crucifixion the flew around the cross and cried mockingly, "Jiviu Jiviu," which means "Live, Live." Jesus, who was in pain, and annoyed at their behavior, cursed them and said, "May you live only on the crumbs which you pick up on the roadside, and henceforth, becoming smaller, you will be snared by little boys and tormented by them, and passers-by shall hit at you with whips, and kill you."
St. Dominic didn’t trust sparrows. According to the blessed Cecilia, who knew him personally and preserved her memories of him when she was in her nineties, St. Dominic once was preaching to the sisters - from behind a grille - in a convent, warning them against the Devil, who could take the shapes of animals at will, just to deceive pious Christians. A sparrow suddenly flew into the chapel and hopped on the head of a sister. She grabbed it at Dominic’s command and handed it to him. Holding it in one hand Dominic commenced to pluck the feathers from the living bird, yelling that it was the Devil which had come to interrupt his sermon. People in those days saw the Devil often and in myriad costumes. The bird screamed in pain as it was plucked alive. When Dominic finished plucking it, he pitched the poor bird, still alive, out the window telling it to fly if it could. “Fly now if you can, enemy of mankind! You can cry out and trouble us, but you can’t hurt us!”

The theme of the song is inspired by the words of Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew in the Bible, as referenced by Mrs. Doolittle in Elmira, New York: "Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?" (Matt. 6:26) and "Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows" (Matt. 10:29-31).
Civilla Martin, who wrote the lyrics, said this about her inspiration to write the song based in the scriptures outlined above,
Early in the spring of 1905, my husband and I were sojourning in Elmira, New York. We contracted a deep friendship for a couple by the name of Mr. and Mrs. Doolittle—true saints of God. Mrs. Doolittle had been bedridden for nigh twenty years. Her husband was an incurable cripple who had to propel himself to and from his business in a wheel chair. Despite their afflictions, they lived happy Christian lives, bringing inspiration and comfort to all who knew them. One day while we were visiting with the Doolittles, my husband commented on their bright hopefulness and asked them for the secret of it. Mrs. Doolittle's reply was simple: "His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me." The beauty of this simple expression of boundless faith gripped the hearts and fired the imagination of Dr. Martin and me. The hymn "His Eye Is on the Sparrow" was the outcome of that experience.

In Matthew 10:29-31, Jesus was emphasizing of how little value these birds are. According to Luke: "Aren't five sparrows sold for two farthings? Not one of them is forgotten by God" (Luke 12:6). Notice that in Luke's account you can buy five of them for two coins, and yet in Matthew's account you can buy two of them for one. In other words, if you were to bring two coins, you get an extra bird, instead of the normal four.
Typically these birds were only used for sacrifices if someone was too poor to afford the normal sacrifice. They were reserved in the days of Jesus for lepers. The sparrow offered for the purification of a leper, or of a house spotted with leprosy, (Lev. 14). A couple of sparrows were presented to the priest, or two clean birds, with a bundle of hyssop, tied will" scarlet string.
While some Christians believe that sparrows represent God's care for the smallest of creatures. The sparrow is recognized as a harbinger of bad luck. Considered bad luck in many European cultures, a sparrow flying into the home is said to be a sign of impending death. A variation of this superstition claims that the person who catches the sparrow in the home must kill it, or else he will be the one to die. In Kent, England, if a sparrow is caught, it is believed that the catcher must kill it or his parents will soon die.
A Spoiled Baby:According to experts, "during the first six months of infancy, it's really impossible to spoil a baby," reassures David Mrazek, M.D., chairman of psychiatry and psychology at the Mayo Clinic, in Rochester, Minnesota. "Meeting an infant's need to be comforted, held, and fed in a predictable fashion helps him feel secure and builds a loving relationship between parent and child. It does not lead to spoiling."
It's not until the second half of a baby's first year that the risk of spoiling even begins. We've all heard the phrase "spoiled rotten" and, unfortunately, it's true for many kids around the country. When parents coddle and spoil their children, the kids often become self-centered, rude and demanding. But this does not apply to infants. Research has shown, babies who are not held and nuzzled and hugged enough will literally stop growing and if the situation lasts long enough, even if they are receiving proper nutrition they will die. They die from lack of love. Many older adults falsely believe that holding a baby "too much" will spoil it. This simply isn't true. When an infant falls below the threshold of physical affection needed to stimulate the production of growth hormone and the immune system, his body starts shutting down. This doesn't mean a baby should be held all day. There are times when you will need to put the baby down, like when you are using the bathroom, cooking, etc.
But parents shouldn't worry that holding a baby "too long" or "too often" will spoil it. Love and affection is vital to the babies survival. Not holding your baby enough puts it at risk. This is your time to bond with your baby and to give it reassurance in a world that is very new and scary for a baby. Do not be afraid to give your baby the love and attention it needs.

A Sugar Cancer:
According to researchers, sugar and cancer are indeed connected. Sugars are needed to provide us with energy and in moderate amounts contribute to our well-being. Sustained high levels of sugars, as is found in diabetics, damages our cells and now is shown that can also increase our chance to get cancer: The dose makes the poison as Paracelsus said. It is well known that obesity is a leading cause of diabetes, a disease where the body fails to control blood sugar levels. High blood sugar levels are characteristic in obesity and diabetes. What is less well known is that diabetes and obesity are also linked to an increase in cancer risk.
Obesity and high blood sugar are risk factors for diabetes. And diabetics have an estimated double risk of suffering a colon or pancreatic cancer diagnosis. Scientists say that the two facts are connected and that blood sugar could play a role in the development of cancer.
In one study published in
the journal Molecular Cell, a team of researchers under Dr. Custodia Garcia-Jimenez, have identified how sugar could directly increase the cancer risk.
During digestion, cells in the intestine identify sugar and tell the pancreas to release insulin (the hormone responsible for blood sugar regulation). The sugars in the digestive system do this with the use of a hormone called GIP which assists in the insulin release. Dr. Garcia-Jimenez found that a specific protein known as β-catenin controls the ability of the intestines to release GIP and this protein is dependent on sugar levels.
“Increased activity of β-catenin is known to be a major factor in the development of many cancers and can make normal cells immortal, a key step in early stages of cancer progression. The study demonstrates that high (but not normal) sugar levels induce nuclear accumulation of β-catenin and leads to cell proliferation. The changes induced on β-catenin, the molecules involved and the diversity of cancer cells susceptible to these changes are identified,” Science Daily reports.
Simplified: increased blood sugar levels could lead to increased production of this protein which is known to impact cancer risk.
“We were surprised to realize that changes in our metabolism caused by dietary sugar impact on our cancer risk,” said Dr. Garcia-Jimenez. “We are not investigating what other dietary components may influence our cancer risk.”
A Swine Flu A:
Swine influenza (swine flu) is a respiratory disease of pigs caused by type A influenza viruses. This type of flu is normally restricted to pigs, but human infections can and do happen. The swine flu virus involved in the current outbreak is a type A, H1N1 subtype, influenza virus. Swine flu rarely infects humans. Dr. Anne Schuchat of the CDC said officials believe the new strain can spread human-to-human, which is unusual for a swine flu virus. There have been about a dozen cases since 2005, but almost all were in farm workers or others in contact with pigs. The U.S. cases are a growing medical mystery because it’s unclear how they caught the virus. The CDC said none of the eight people were in contact with pigs, which is how people usually catch swine flu.
According to the US Centers for Disease Control, the new virus is a unique combination of gene segments not seen in people or pigs before. It is a mixture of four different viruses: North American swine flu, North American avian flu, human H1N1 flu and a swine flu strain found in Asia and Europe. It is unusual to be infected by two flu viruses at the same time, and even rarer for one of those viruses to come from another species. But it does happen, especially in pigs, which are susceptible to both human and bird flu viruses. Repeated re-assortments can produce mixtures like that found in the swine flu virus now spreading worldwide. It is not yet clear exactly when and how the new swine flu strain evolved, but it could certainly have happened without the help of genetic engineers. Despite this, the swine flu could still be regarded as man-made.
An Australian researcher claims the swine flu, might not be a mutation that occurred naturally but a man-made product of genetic experiments accidentally leaked from a laboratory -- a theory the World Health Organization has looked into.
Adrian Gibbs, a scientist on the team that was behind the development of Tamiflu, says in a report that swine flu might have been created using eggs to grow viruses and make new vaccines, and could have been accidentally leaked to the general public.
"It might be some sort of simple error that's not being recognized," Gibbs said on ABC's "Good Morning America." A World Health Organization official has refuted claims that the swine flu was man-made. According to the official, "There is no evidence to support a theory that the new influenza A (H1N1) virus was created in a laboratory."
The WHO has said that most cases of the virus have shown the disease to be relatively mild. Cases have been confirmed in all age groups, but children and younger people seem much more likely to be affected. To date, fewer cases have been confirmed in older adults.
For a minority of people, the virus has caused severe illness. In many of these cases, other factors have been identified that are likely to have contributed to the severity of the illness. Worldwide, just over 0.4% of the laboratory-confirmed cases reported to the World Health Organization (WHO) have died. This is a similar rate to ordinary flu.
The CDC said that by August 8, 2009 it had reports of 477 deaths from the pandemic H1N1 virus, including 36 children under 18. "In two-thirds of those, the child had at least one severe underlying illness or underlying disability ... cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, long-standing respiratory or cardiac problems," CDC director Dr. Thomas Frieden told reporters in a telephone briefing. "There were some children who didn't have an underlying condition and who did become severely ill, and they were generally infected also by bacteria," Frieden added. "Each year, there are on the neighborhood of 50 to 100 deaths from influenza among children in this country," Frieden said. "The flu season this past year was very unusual, very unusual because you had first a normal flu season, which was a relatively mild season. Then you had H1N1 influenza. So, these deaths are outside of the normal time period."
There is a
Canadian study linking H1N1 to seasonal flu shots. The study confounded infectious-disease experts in suggesting that people vaccinated against seasonal flu are twice as likely to catch swine flu.
“It has confused things very badly,” said Dr. Ethan Rubinstein, head of adult infectious diseases at the University of Manitoba. “And it has certainly cost us credibility from the public because of conflicting recommendations.”
So far, the study's impact is confined to Canada. Researchers in the U.S., Britain and Australia have not reported the same phenomenon. Marie-Paule Kieny, the World Health Organization's director of vaccine research said the Canadian findings were an international anomaly and could constitute a “study bias.”
An international panel is scrutinizing the research data. “The review process has been expedited, so we're hoping for a response within days,” said Roy Wadia, spokesman for the B.C. Centre for Disease Control.
Dr. Rubinstein, who has read the study, said it appears sound. “There are a large number of authors, all of them excellent and credible researchers,” he said. “And the sample size is very large - 12 or 13 million people taken from the central reporting systems in three provinces. The research is solid.”
A Tallow Fat:
Tallow is a rendered form of beef or mutton fat. Tallow is used in animal feed, to make soap, for cooking, and as a bird food. It can be used as a raw material for the production of biodiesel and other oleochemicals. Historically, it was used to make tallow candles, which were a cheaper alternative to wax candles.
A Texas Secede:
Ever since Texas requested and received annexation by the United States of America in 1845, segments of its population have sought independence from that nation. While those who have sought to secede from the Union have often been a minority of the population, Texan nationalism has been highlighted through history in events such as the American Civil War, where Texas declared its separation from the Union and joined the Confederate States of America. The Confederacy was not recognized as a separate country by any nation, but it was recognized as a belligerent party. Defeated by the Union in 1865, the Confederacy collapsed and all states were restored to full status in the United States.
After President Barack Obama's re-election in 2012, multiple petitions were posted on the White House's We The People site requesting that various states be allowed to secede from the United States of America. These petitions were non-binding -- the We The People site exists only as a means for citizens to request comment from the White House on submitted issues, and does not have any legal standing as a bill of law.
As stated on the We the People site, if a petition on the site received over 25,000 signatures, it would merit a response from the White House. By November 16th, 2012, petitions for many states had already surpassed this minimum, the most prominent being the petition for Texas with over 112,210 signatures.
A Time Changing:
Daylight Saving Time is the practice of advancing clocks so that afternoons have more daylight and mornings have less. Typically clocks are adjusted forward one hour near the start of spring and are adjusted backward in autumn.
Daylight Saving Time has mixed effects on people's health. Transitions into and out of Daylight Saving Time can complicate people's sleeping patterns, for example, and make them more restless at night.
A 2008 study found that although male suicide rates rise in the weeks after the spring transition, the relationship weakened greatly after adjusting for season.
There's a spike in heart attacks during the first week of daylight saving time. The loss of an hour's sleep may make people more susceptible to an attack, some experts say. A 2008 Swedish study found that heart attacks were significantly more common the first three weekdays after the spring transition, and significantly less common the first weekday after the autumn transition.
The government of Kazakhstan cited health complications due to clock shifts as a reason for abolishing Daylight Saving Time in 2005. The country's government reportedly calculated that 51.6 percent of Kazakhs responded badly to the time change.

Atrophies:
Atrophy is the partial or complete wasting away of a part of the body. Causes of atrophy include poor nourishment, poor circulation, and loss of hormonal support, loss of nerve supply to the target organ, disuse or lack of exercise or disease intrinsic to the tissue itself.
Disuse atrophy of muscles (muscle atrophy) and bones, with loss of mass and strength, can occur after prolonged immobility, such as extended bed rest, or having a body part in a cast (living in darkness for the eye, bedridden for the legs etc.). This type of atrophy can usually be reversed with exercise unless severe.
There are many diseases and conditions which cause atrophy of muscle mass. For example diseases such as cancer and AIDS induce a body wasting syndrome, which is notable for the severe muscle atrophy seen. Other syndromes or conditions which can induce skeletal muscle atrophy are congestive heart failure and liver disease.
A Truther:
A "Truther", as they are called, sometimes pejoratively, dispute the governments account of the September 11 attacks of 2001. Truthers primarily focus on what they say are significant inconsistencies in that explanation, suggesting a cover-up and, at the least, complicity by insiders.
They analyze evidence from the attacks, discuss different theories about how the attacks happened and call for a new investigation into the attacks. Some of the organizations assert that there is evidence that individuals within the United States government may have been either responsible for or knowingly complicit in the September 11 attacks. Motives suggested by the movement include the use of the attacks as a pretext to start wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and to create opportunities to curtail civil liberties.

The Book of Revelation, which opens with the words, "The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants what must soon take place", includes in those events an attack against Heaven that leads to War:
Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they were defeated and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, which is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world - he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
Attenuated:
Attenuation in microbiology is reducing the virulence of a pathogen, whilst keeping it viable (or 'live'), for the purpose of creating a vaccine. An attenuated vaccine is one that has been weakened by chemicals or other processes so that it will produce an adequate immune response without causing the serious effects of an infection.
Examples of live vaccines include:
Viral: polio vaccine (Sabin vaccine), measles vaccine, mumps vaccine, rubella vaccine, chicken pox vaccine, yellow fever vaccine, and nasal-spray flu vaccine (including the seasonal flu nasal spray and the 2009 H1N1 flu nasal spray). Rabies vaccines are now available in two different attenuated forms, one for use in people, and one for animal usage.

Aum Mudras:
The Sanskrit word Aum means "all." Aum is a mystical or sacred syllable in the Indian religions which originated from Hinduism. The syllable is taken to consist of three phonemes, a, u and m, variously symbolizing the Three Vedas or the Hindu Trimurti or three stages in life (birth, life and death).
A mudra is a symbolic or ritual gesture in Hinduism. While some mudras involve the entire body, most are performed with the hands and fingers. In yoga, mudrגs are used in conjuntion with pranayama (yogic breathing exercises) - generally while seated in Vajrasana pose, to stimulate different parts of the body involved with breathing and to affect the flow of prana in the body. Yogis meditate on Aum to invoke the Supreme Being to offer their devotion. Aum is the most commonly used mantra with Gyan Mudra. See Sanskrit
A USA False Flag:
False flag (or black flag) describes covert operations designed to deceive in such a way that the operations appear as though they are being carried out by entities, groups, or nations other than those who actually planned and executed them. Operations carried out during peace-time by civilian organizations, as well as covert government agencies, may by extension be called false flag operations if they seek to hide the real organization behind an operation. Geraint Hughes uses the term to refer to those acts carried out by "military or security force personnel, which are then blamed on terrorists."
In its most modern usage, the term may also refer to those events which governments are cognizant of and able to stop but choose to allow to happen (or "stand down"), as a strategy to entangle or prepare the nation for war.
A Vile Audience:
Spectators who watch violent, immoral, or inappropriate events that are live, televised, or in print and heckle, taunt or cheer at the deplorable acts.
A Ville Valo:
Ville Hermanni Valo (born November 22, 1976), is a Finnish singer, songwriter, and frontman of the Finnish rock band HIM. 666 Ways to Love: Prologue was released in 1996. The band released their first full-length studio album, Greatest Love Songs Vol. 666, on November 20, 1997. A special edition was released in Germany with the bonus track "Sigillum Diaboli", taken from 666 Ways to Love: Prologue. In keeping with the theme of 666, the album's length is 66:06 and contains a total of 66 tracks (56 of which are blank). There is another track which starts at 6 minutes into the 66th track; it is the outro of "The Heartless" from 666 Ways to Love: Prologue. The track is called "HIM 666," or alternatively "666" or "Dark Circle." This album is also the only HIM album so far to have hidden bonus tracks.
HIM released its second album in 1999, titled Razorblade Romance. This is when the band's popularity began to rise, their single "Join Me in Death" from the album reached #1 on the German music charts, selling over 500,000 of this single in two months. Join Me in Death was used as the soundtrack of European version of sci-fi movie 'The 13th Floor', thus making it more popular worldwide.

A VISA Credit:
We are headed for a cashless society - first by credit card, and later by RFID implantation beneath the skin. The fastest growing movement in the financial world is "smart cards". Smart cards, which resemble ordinary credit cards, contain tiny computer chips, capable of storing data, such as bank accounts, medical information, etc. The push to implement more convenient and more secure forms of payment comes as concerns mount over the security of PIN-based debit transactions that could allow thieves direct access to bank accounts.
In 2002, VISA International made plans to advance a new smart-card payment system that would allow hands-free transactions. In 2006, VISA introduced a card featuring an RFID chip. The card is about half the size of a conventional credit card.
VISA's contactless payment chip uses 128-bit and Triple Data Encryption Standard, or DES, encryption technology to protect the data used during a transaction, which includes the user's account number and a unique numeric code generated for each transaction.

A War in Gulf:
The Persian Gulf War (2 August 1990 – 28 February 1991), commonly referred to as the Gulf War, also known as the First Gulf War and commonly as Desert Storm for the military response, was the final conflict, which was initiated with United Nations authorization with the expressed purpose of expelling Iraqi forces from Kuwait after its invasion and annexation on 2 August 1990.
A War in Iraq:
A military campaign which began on March 20, 2003 with the invasion of Iraq by a multinational force led by troops from the United States and the United Kingdom. Prior to the war, the governments of the United States and the United Kingdom claimed that Iraq's alleged possession of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) posed a threat to their security and that of their coalition/regional allies. In 2002, the U.N. Security Council passed Resolution 1441 which called for Iraq to completely cooperate with U.N. weapon inspectors to verify that Iraq was not in possession of weapons of mass destruction and long-range missiles.
Some US officials also accused Iraqi President Saddam Hussein of harboring and supporting al-Qaeda, but no evidence of an operation connection was ever found.
Other reasons for the invasion stated by US officials included Iraq's financial support for the families of Palestinian suicide bombers, Iraqi government human rights abuses, and an effort to impose democracy on the country. Critics of the invasion believe that Iraq's oil reserves were a factor in the decision to invade, but officials have denied this.
A Warm December:
Monday, December 3, 2012 featured extraordinary warmth for early December over parts of the nation's mid-section. At least 10 cities tied or set new all-time December record highs, including:
•Kansas City, Mo. (74) tying a record from Dec. 5, 2001 and Dec. 6, 1939
•Ottumwa, Ia. (71) tying a record from Dec. 4, 1998
•Traverse City, Mich. (64) tying a record from Dec. 3, 1962
•Madison, Wisc. (65) breaking their record from Dec. 5, 2001
By the way, it was Traverse City, Mich. that was, arguably, the epicenter of the incredible March record warm spell, tying or breaking their all-time March record high 5 straight days from Mar. 17-21, in addition to setting their earliest-in-season 80-degree-plus temperature.
Rockford, Ill. also set a new all-time December record high Monday (69). Not only was this a December record, but it was the second warmest day on record for the months of Dec., Jan., and Feb., so-called "meteorological winter". Only Feb. 25, 2000 (70) was warmer, according to the National Weather Service in Chicago.
Chicago's O'Hare Airport topped out at 70 degrees. While not a December record high, it was only the third 70-degree-plus December day on record, there, dating to 1871.

A Warming Sea:
The top few hundred meters of the world's
oceans have warmed 50 per cent faster than previously thought during the past half century, a discovery that has solved an enduring puzzle about the world's rising sea levels.
The new study by Australian and US climate researchers, published in the journal Nature, concludes that the upper 700 meters of the world's oceans warmed at a rate 50 per cent faster in the last four decades of 20th century than documented in the 2007 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Report, which produces a consensus view of scientists around the world.
"Following the review of millions of ocean measurements, predominantly from expendable instruments probing the upper 700 meters of the ocean, we were able to more accurately estimate upper-ocean warming, and the related thermal expansion and sea-level rise. We show that the rate of ocean warming from 1961 to 2003 is about 50 per cent larger than previously reported", says Dr Catia Domingues of the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization.
"However, there is a suggestion that the models have slightly underestimated (30 per cent in the upper 300m and 10 per cent in the upper 700m) the amount of ocean warming," says Coauthor Dr John Church, CSIRO Marine & Atmospheric Research.
Experts are not concerned about sea ice: just as the level of a gin and tonic remains unchanged as the ice cubes in it melt, so the fate of sea ice is mostly irrelevant to sea levels.
It is land ice that is the problem: if it all melted, sea levels would rise a staggering 70m. Fortunately, 57 of those meters are locked up in Eastern Antarctica, which has been stable for 20 million years and looks likely to cope with global warming.
Ocean warming still poses a problem. Warm waters increase humidity due to the evaporation of water from the water surface. As air over the ocean warms from the sun’s energy, the air rises creating an area of low pressure below. Wind swirls in to fill the low-pressure area also becoming warm and moist. As the warm air rises it cools to form large clouds. These clouds continue to grow and swirl in the wind to become a hurricane.
Hurricanes need warm air to form and that ocean surface temperatures have increased by 0.9 degrees Fahrenheit (0.5 C) over the past 35 years. Bryan Walsh echoes a similar connection in his September 2008 Time Magazine article “Is Global Warming Worsening Hurricanes?” He cites Kerry Emanuel, an MIT meteorologist, as saying that a hotter ocean will lead to greater evaporation and more intense hurricanes.
Rising ocean surface temperatures are the primary factor fueling a 35- year trend of stronger, more intense hurricanes, scientists report in a study. In 2005, Researchers from the Georgia Institute of Technology and the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) say the number of category 4 and 5 hurricanes (called typhoons or cyclones in other parts of the world) worldwide has nearly doubled over the past 35 years. The North Atlantic appears to be the area worst affected. Category 4 and 5 hurricanes have increased from 16 in the period of 1975-1989, to 25 in the period of 1990-2004, a rise of 56%. What's interesting is that the increase in the number of severe storms seems to coincide with an observed rise in global sea surface temperatures that occurred over the same period.
A Weight Diet:
Researchers from the University of California in Los Angeles carried out a comprehensive analysis of diet studies, they came to the conclusion that diets don’t work.
‘We analyzed studies that followed people on diets for two to five years and concluded most of them would have been better not going on a diet at all,’ says Traci Mann, professor of psychology and lead author of the study.
‘You can initially lose five to ten per cent of your weight on any number of diets but then the weight comes back. We found most people regained all the weight, plus more, within four to five years. Only a minority had sustained weight loss.’
More than half of us (52 per cent) have attempted to slim down in the past 12 months, according to the Mintel research, but 54 per cent are still either overweight or obese. Sustained weight loss was found only in a small minority of participants, while complete weight regain was found in the majority.
The journal American Psychologist, concluded dieters may actually be damaging their health. Research has shown the repeated rapid weight gain and loss associated with dieting can double the risk of death from heart disease, including heart attacks, and the risk of premature death in general. Such yo-yo weight loss has also been linked to stroke and diabetes and shown to suppress the immune system, making the body more vulnerable to infection.
"The benefits of dieting are simply too small and the potential harms of dieting are too large for it to be recommended as a safe and effective treatment for obesity."
A Wife Killer:
Anne Boleyn was the second wife of Henry VIII of England and the mother of Elizabeth I of England. Anne was crowned Queen Consort of England on 1 June 1533. Later that year, on 7 September, Anne gave birth to a baby girl who would one day reign as Queen Elizabeth. When Anne failed to quickly produce a male heir, her only son being stillborn, the King grew tired of her and a plot was hatched by Thomas Cromwell to do away with her. Cromwell began to move in action to bring down the Queen. He persuaded the King to sign a document calling for an investigation that would possibly result in charges of treason. On May 2, 1536 Anne Boleyn was arrested and was informed of the charges against her. Although the evidence against her was unconvincing, Anne was beheaded on charges of adultery, incest, and high treason on 19 May 1536.
Katherine Howard was Henry's fifth wife 1540-1542. Less than a year into Kathryn's marriage, the rumors of her infidelity began. Henry was informed of her alleged adultery on 1 November 1541. After being deprived of the title of Queen, she was beheaded.

A Wonderland:
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, a children's story (1865) by British writer Lewis Carroll. This extraordinarily inventive and immensely popular tale was based on stories that the author made up to entertain his friends' children. A girl called Alice dreams that she falls down a rabbit hole into a surreal world inhabited by eccentric characters including the Mad Hatter, the March Hare, and the King and Queen of Hearts.
The belief in a passage from earth to the underworld goes back at-least as far as the ancient Greeks, who believed there was a specific place, Lake Avernus, where the dead passed into Hades. Alice in Wonderland also depicts a portal to an underworld through which Alice falls.
A World Death:
The Apocalypse is the complete final destruction of the world, especially as described in the biblical Book of Revelation. In the Book of Revelation, the last book of the New Testament, the revelation which John receives is that of the ultimate victory of good over evil and the end of the present age.
A Xenograft:
Xenografts are cells or sections of tissue that are removed from one species and grafted on or into a different species. Grafts of this type are sometimes used to provide temporary protection from infection for burn victims, as well as in the process of cancer research. In most cases, the xenograft is treated before the grafting takes place, which helps to reduce the chances of the host body rejecting the harvested tissue.
Along with burn victims, people suffering with other health issues make use of xenografting. Diabetics in advanced stages may receive a xenograft as a means of restoring a section of skin on the feet or legs that has deteriorated as a result of the disease. Cancer victims may receive this form of graft in order to repair damage to an internal organ.
It is not unusual for a xenograft to be utilized as part of cancer research. In this application, human tumors are removed from the host and are grafted into a lab animal, such as a rodent. The graft makes it possible for researchers to study the progress of the tumor closely as different experimental drugs and procedures are tried in an attempt to shrink the tumor and force the cancer into remission.
Xenografts have been a controversial procedure since they were first attempted. Medical concerns exist about possible disease transfer between animals and humans, such as the porcine endogenous retrovirus found in pig tissues. Pig skin grafts are termed xenografts, or heterografts, because they are transplanted from an organism of one species to that of a different species. These may be prepared for use in several ways. They may be treated with glycerol and rapidly frozen with liquid nitrogen or they may be lyophilized and freeze-dried. Xenografts are biologic dressings only, are ultimately rejected by the patient’s immune system, and need to be removed prior to definitive wound treatment or skin grafting.
Religious beliefs, such as the Jewish and Muslim prohibition against eating pork, have been sometimes thought to be a problem, however according to a Council of Europe documentation both religions agree that this rule is overridden by the preservation of human life. In general, the use of pig and cow tissue in humans has been met with little resistance, save some religious beliefs. There are fewer moral objections to the killing of pigs as they are already killed for food and are already being produced.

The Aztecs were cannibals. There is some documentation of Aztec cannibalism, mainly accounts from the date of the conquest:
Hernán Cortés wrote in one of his letters that his soldiers had captured an indigenous man who had a roasted baby ready for breakfast. Bernal Díaz del Castillo was a Spanish conquistador, who participated as a foot soldier in the conquest of Mexico with Hernán Cortés. Bernal Díaz’s The Conquest of New Spain contains several instances of cannibalism among the people the conquistadors encountered during their warring expedition to Tenochtitlan:
About the city of Cholula, Díaz wrote he was shocked to see young men in cages ready to be sacrificed and eaten.
In the same work Diaz mentions that the Cholulan and Aztec warriors were so confident of victory against the conquistadors in an upcoming battle the following day, that "...they wished to kill us and eat our flesh, and had already prepared the pots with salt and peppers and tomatoes". This may also be the first recorded reference to a recipe for chili con carne in western literature.
About the Quetzalcoatl temple of Tenochtitlan Díaz wrote that inside there were large pots, where human flesh of sacrificed Natives was boiled and cooked to feed the priests.
About the Mesoamerican towns in general Díaz wrote that some of the indigenous people he saw were—: "eating human meat, just like we take cows from the butcher’s shops, and they have in all towns thick wooden jail-houses, like cages, and in them they put many Indian men, women and boys to fatten, and being fattened they sacrificed and ate them."
Díaz's testimony is corroborated by other Spanish historians who wrote about the conquest. In History of Tlaxcala, Diego Muñoz Camargo states that: "Thus there were public butcher's shops of human flesh, as if it were of cow or sheep."
Francisco López de Gómara reported that, during the siege of Tenochtitlan, the Spaniards asked the Aztecs to surrender since they had no food. The Aztecs angrily challenged the Spaniards to attack so they could be taken as prisoners, sacrificed and served with "molli" sauce.
In August 2006, Reuters reported that an analysis of the skeletons of 550 victims killed after the conquest and found near Calpulalpan, Tlaxcala, indicate that some of the victims were dismembered, and that many bones showed knife, teeth marks and evidence of boiling.
